Headset Pairing
Decoy comes with a detachable Bluetooth headset for
hands-free conversations. Decoy’s Bluetooth wizard walks you
through the pairing process and gets you wireless in no time!
1. Push up with
to access the Bluetooth wizard.*
2. Detach the headset by pressing the release button on top
of the phone, then press
to continue.
3. Press and hold
on the headset until a solid blue light
appears, indicating that the headset is in pairing mode.
Press
on the phone to proceed.
4. The phone will synchronize with the headset. Press
when synchronization is complete.
*Once you have paired the Decoy headset, pushing up on
will
instead open the Bluetooth menu.
Note: You can connect with up to two Bluetooth devices at once
on Decoy with one in standby.

Bluetooth Pairing
The Decoy headset is only the beginning! Connect with
other headsets, phones, computers, speakers, and more via
Bluetooth. Never let cables slow you down again!
1. Set your Bluetooth accessory into pairing mode.*
2. Push up with to access the Bluetooth menu. If you have
not already paired with the Decoy headset, you will be shown
the Bluetooth wizard.
3. Select Add New Device (1).
4. If Bluetooth is off, you’ll be prompted to turn it on. Press
to search for the accessory.
5. Once your accessory is located, highlight the accessory and
press
to pair.
6. Press
again to connect with the device.
*Refer to your Bluetooth accessory’s user guide for information about initiating pairing mode and the passkey if
asked (typically “0000”). If the accessory supports the
headset/hands-free profi le, your phone will automatically
pair for you without having to input the passkey.

a vast library of music through the V CAST Music catalog and
download the newest releases directly to your Decoy!

to access the main menu, then select Media
Center (5) > Music & Tones (1) > V CAST Music (1).
2. Select a song from one of the categories and press

buy it.
3. Press
to confi rm your purchase.
4. Press
to download the song.
5. You can save the song to the phone’s memory or to an
optional memory card.*

Playing Music
Feel the rhythm and rock out with your favorite songs on
Decoy! Listen to your songs anywhere, thanks to Decoy’s fully
functional music player.
1. Press
to access the main menu, then select Media
Center (5) > Music & Tones (1) > My Music (4).
2. Select a song from one of the categories to play.
3. Use the side Volume Keys
to adjust the
volume when a song is playing.
Note: To turn on Music Only Mode (radio frequency off except
Bluetooth), press
> Media Center (5) > Music & Tones (1).

Taking a Picture/Recording a Video
Ever have trouble matching a name to a face? Worry no more
because Decoy lets you snap a quick photo and assign it to a
contact in your phone book. You can also let your creative side
out and explore the possibilities of Decoy’s camcorder!
1. To activate camera mode: Press the side

To activate video mode: Press and hold

2. Push up or down on
to adjust the brightness. Push
left or right on to zoom.* To adjust other camera/video
options, press the Right Soft Key.
3. Press
to take a photo or record a video.
*Camera setting of 1600x1200 pixels does not support zoom function.
Note: You can record up to 30 seconds (for sending) or 1 hour
(for saving) of video depending on available memory. Videos
(under 5MB) can be set as wallpapers.
