in the introductio n of the Leupold MX™ Modular Flashlight se ries, a
group of ligh ts that is adva nced, fl exible, a nd extr emely ca pable. This
growing line of component s and lights provides an all new level of
performance, no ma tter what the illumination need.
Custom Construction
Leupold MX series f lashlights are designed from the ground up t o be
modul ar part s to a c omplete system. Four u nique be zels, ru nning
on ei ther a t wo or t hree cell maintu be, and a clickin g dual m ode tail
switch give you the abilit y to create a light uniquely suited to your
illumination needs. From th e simple to the complex, the MX system
delivers the flexible illuminati on you need whether you hunt, fish,
camp, hike, or work in any type o f public safety profession.
Maximum Output and Bat tery Life
Leupold uses some of t he most advanced and efficient LE D technology
curre ntly av ailable i n MX co mponent s. High effic iency pr ovides l ong
run times at any sett ing, exceptional run times on low output set tings.
Our drive electronic s are maximized to deliver an exceptional balance
of br ightnes s, func tion, a nd effi ciency s o users get the illumina tion
they need for the longes t possible time.
Leupold LEDs ar e bin sorted and carefully selected t o provide only the
most consistent , natural white light available. Our True White™ LED s
produce an optimal 55 00 °K to give us ers a lig ht that the eye respond s
best to in the widest va riety of ambient lighting conditions.
Absolute Waterproof I ntegrity
Leupold pioneered the w aterproof technology in riflesco pes that
customers take for g ranted today. This industry leading know ledge
of waterproofing a nd “ruggedizing” has been the cornerstone o f our
riflescopes for ove r 60 years, and we have brought the same level of
robust design and wate rproofing to our new MX modular flashligh t
system.
Leupo ld MX M odular F lashlig hts uti lize a so phistic ated ma gnetic
senso r array in mult i-mode m odels th at seal s the in ternal c omponen ts
of th e bezel f rom the element s. Dou ble O-r ing prot ection between
the tail switch, maint ube, and the bezel provide waterproofnes s to
four atmosph eres (132 feet, 4 0 meter s), even with th e tailsw itch in
the 1/ 8 turn lockout positio n. The functi onal sub mersion limit of 2
atmospheres (66 f eet, 20 meters) is based on the level at which wa ter
pressure activat es the switch in the unlocked position only.
Sapphire Windo w
Sophi sticat ed swit ches and advance d LED t echnolo gy still depend
on the rugged protec tion of the window to deliver an undiffrac ted,
focused beam. For th e all important window, Leupold uses sapp hire,
which is a single cryst al aluminum oxide compound. Sapphire is one
of the hardest man made su bstances on the planet and gives the
windo w unriva lled tou ghness, with s upreme a brastio n and sc ratch
resistance.
