GUIDE
How To Install the
LX Mounting System
The LX mount adjustment screws have
been factory set to fit the LX 12mm base.
To install the LX Mounting System onto the
LX 1-piece base, pull the release button
open automatically
to the left (2).
Seat the LX
Mounting System
onto the LX base
with the extended
locking lever on the left side of the base.
Be sure that the oval recoil lug (3), that
protudes from the mounting system, sits in
one of the oval recesses on the base (4).
On LX base models
with multiple recesses,

IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO CLOSE THE
LOCKING LEVER, OR IF THERE IS A LOOSE
FIT BETWEEN THE LX MOUNTING SYSTEM
AND BASE, THE FOLLOWING
ADJUSTMENT MAY BE NECESSARY.
1. Remove the LX Mounting System from the LX base, and close the locking lever.
2. Loosen both set screws (6) by means of the supplied 3mm Allen wrench.
3. Insert the 2.5mm Allen wrench through the set screws into the adjustment screws (7). Turning the adjustment screws will change the position of the locking jaw (8).
4. Counterclockwise will create a looser fit, clockwise will make a tighter fit.
5. Turn the adjustment screws one turn counterclockwise.
6
COMPLETING THE INSTALLATION
1. Reinstall the LX Mounting System onto the LX base. The LX Mounting System should now have excessive play.
2. Turn the adjustment screws (7) clockwise slowly and gently until you feel a slight resistance.
CAUTION: Do not over-tighten the adjustment screws as it could damage your LX Mounting System.
3. Tighten both set screws (6) with the 3mm Allen wrench.
4. The locking lever should easily close. Just prior to engaging with the release button a small amount of resistance should be felt. Once the locking lever is closed there should be no movement between the LX base and the LX Mounting System.
