1. Read Instructions - All the safety and operating instructions should be read before
the appliance is operated.
2. Retain Instructions - The safety and operating instructions should be retained for
future reference.

should be adhered to.
4. Follow Instructions - All operating and use instructions should be followed.
5. Water and Moisture - The appliance should not be used near water - for example near a
bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wet basement, or near a swimming pool,
and the like.
6. Wall or Ceiling Mounting - The appliance should not be mounted to a wall or ceiling.
7. Ventilation - The appliance should be situated so that its location or position does not
interfere with its proper ventilation. For example, the appliance should not be situated on a
bed, sofa, rug, or similar surface that may block the ventilation openings; or,
placed in a built-in installation, such as a bookcase or cabinet that impede the flow of air
through the ventilation openings.
8. Heat - The appliance should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators,
heat registers, stoves, or other appliances (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
9. Power Sources - The appliance should be connected to a power supply only of the
type described in the operating instructions or as marked on the appliance.
10. Grounding or Polarization - Precautions should be taken so that the grounding or
polarization means of an appliance is not defeated.
11 . Power Cord Protection - Power supply cords should be routed so that they are not
likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them, paying particular
attention to cords at plugs, convenient receptacles, and the point where they exit
from the appliance.
12. Cleaning - The appliance should be cleaned only as recommended by the manufacturer.
13. Nonuse periods - The power cord of the appliance should be unplugged from the
outlet when left unused for a long period of time.

EXAMPLE OF ANTENNA GROUNDING AS PER

It is the intent of Lenoxx that this product be used in full compliance with the
copyright laws of the United States and that prior permission be obtained from
copyright owners whenever recording songs from the RADIO or CDs.
Do not apply oil or petroleum products or solvents to any part of this set.
CAUTION
Use of controls or adjustments or performance of procedures other than those
specified herein may result in hazardous radiation exposure.
This compact disc player is classified as CLASS 1 LASER PRODUCT as stated
on the back of the set.
14. Object and Liquid Entry - Care should be taken so that objects do not fall and liquids
are not spilled into the enclosure through openings.
15. Damage Requiring Service - The appliance should be serviced by qualified service
personnel when:
A. The power supply cord or the plug has been damaged; or
B. Objects have fallen, or liquid has been spilled into the appliance; or
C. The appliance has been exposed to rain; or
D. The appliance does not appear to operate normally or exhibits a marked change in
performance; or
E. The appliance has been dropped, or the enclosure damaged.
16. Servicing - The user should not attempt to service the appliance beyond that described in the
operating instructions. All other servicing should be referred to qualified service personnel.
17. Power lines - An outdoor antenna should be located away from power lines.
18. Outdoor Antenna Grounding - If an outside antenna is connected to the receiver, be sure the
antenna system is grounded so as to provide some protection against voltage surges and
built up static charges. Section 810 of the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70 provides
information with respect to proper grounding of the mast and supporting structure, grounding
of the lead-in wire to an antenna discharge unit, size of grounding conductors, location of
antenna-discharge unit, connection to grounding electrodes, and requirements for the
grounding electrode. See Figure.

POWERING UP
TIP
If the plug of the AC power cord does not match your outlet, do not force it.
Reverse it and try again. The plug is polarized and only fits one way into the wall
outlet.

To a wall outlet
NOTE: One blade of
plug and outlet
is wider.
Carefully unwind and stretch out the speaker wire on the back of each speaker
box and plug the right plug into Speaker Jack marked RIGHT, and the left plug into
Speaker Jack marked LEFT.
Plug the AC POWER CORD into a 120V, 60Hz wall outlet. The AC POWER STANDBY
INDICATOR will be on. This indicator shows you that the set & outlet are OK.

Unwind the FM ANTENNA (thin wire) at the back of the set and straighten it out for
FM reception.

button to open the CD
DOOR and place the disc
in the CD compartment.
The label side of the CD
should face upward.

Connect the AC power cord (see page 3).

Close the CD DOOR by
pushing it down at the right
corner. The display will
show the total tracks on that
CD (after a few seconds).
Press the CD PLAY
button. The player will
play all the tracks (songs)
once.

flash during pause. Press
again to resume play after

Locate a point in a song

Press and hold down while
playing until you find the
point.
TIP
When CD play
is paused, the
elapsed playing
time will flash and
no music will play.
Remove the CD
Press the CD DOOR OPEN
button (press STOP first)
Turn off the player
Press the POWER switch, the
AC POWER STANDBY
INDICATOR will go on.
To resume play,
press the PAUSE
button again, the
elapsed playing
time will stop
flashing and music
will play.
PRESS TO OPEN
THE CD DOOR

If you bump the set
or table it is sitting
on, during CD play,
the music will stop
or skip for a few
seconds. This is
normal for this type
of player.
