Preparing your smartphone

You must insert the SIM card provided by your carrier to use cellular
services. Set up your smartphone as shown.

Step 1. Open the back cover.

Plastic bag notice

DANGER: Plastic bags can be dangerous. Keep plastic bags away
from babies and children to avoid danger of suffocation.

General battery notice

Batteries supplied by Lenovo for use with your product have been
tested for compatibility and should only be replaced with approved
parts. Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced with an incorrect
type. Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions.

Rechargeable battery notice

DANGER: Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the battery pack.
Attempting to do so can cause an explosion, or liquid leakage from
the battery pack. A battery pack other than the one specified by
Lenovo, or a disassembled or modified battery pack is not covered by
the warranty.
If the rechargeable battery pack is incorrectly replaced, there is danger
of an explosion. The battery pack contains a small amount of harmful
substances. To avoid possible injury:
Replace only with a battery of the type recommended by Lenovo.
Keep the battery pack away from fire.
Do not expose it to water or rain.
Do not attempt to disassemble it.
Do not short-circuit it.
Keep it away from children.
Do not drop the battery pack.
Do not put the battery pack in trash that is disposed of in landfills.
When disposing of the battery, comply with local ordinances or
regulations.

Built-in rechargeable battery notice

CAUTION: Do not attempt to replace the internal rechargeable lithium
ion battery. Contact Lenovo Support for factory replacement.

Charging

Lenovo is not responsible for the performance or safety of products
not manufactured or approved by Lenovo. Use only approved
Lenovo ac adapters and batteries. Adapter shall be installed near the
equipment and shall be easily accessible.

Prevent hearing damage

Lenovo Phone has a headphone connector. Always use the
headphone connector for headphones (also called a headset) or
earphones.
CAUTION: Excessive sound pressure from earphones and
headphones can cause hearing loss. Adjustment of the equalizer to
maximum increases the earphone and headphone output voltage and
the sound pressure level. Therefore, to protect your hearing, adjust
the equalizer to an appropriate level.
Excessive use of headphones or earphones for a long period of time
at high volume can be dangerous if the output of the headphone or
earphone connectors do not comply with specifications of EN
50332-2.
The headphone output connector of Lenovo Phone complies with EN
50332-2 Sub clause 7. This specification limits Lenovo Phone's
maximum wide band true RMS output voltage to 150 mV. To help
protect against hearing loss, ensure that the headphones or
earphones you use also comply with EN 50332-2 (Clause 7 limits) for
a wide band characteristic voltage of 75 mV. Using headphones that
do not comply with EN 50332-2 can be dangerous due to excessive
sound pressure levels.
If Lenovo Phone came with headphones or earphones in the
package, as a set, the combination of the headphones or earphones
and Lenovo Phone already complies with the specifications of EN
50332-1. If different headphones or earphones are used, ensure that
they comply with EN 50332-1 (Clause 6.5 Limitation Values). Using
headphones that do not comply with EN 50332-1 can be dangerous
due to excessive sound pressure levels.

Sound pressure warning statement

For the device that is tested in accordance with EN 60950-1:
2006+A11:2009:+A1:2010+A12:2011, it is mandatory to perform
audio tests for EN50332.
This device has been tested to comply with the Sound Pressure Level
requirement in the applicable EN 50332-1 and/or EN 50332-2
standards. Permanent hearing loss may occur if earphones or
headphones are used at high volume for prolonged periods of time.

Warning statement: To prevent possible hearing damage, do not listen
at high volume levels for long periods.

Use Lenovo Phone only in the temperature range of -10 °C (14 °F) —
45 °C (113 °F) to avoid damage.

Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) cable and cord notice

WARNING: Handling the cord on this product or cords associated
with accessories sold with this product will expose you to lead, a
chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer, and birth
defects or other reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling.

Disposing according to local laws and regulations

When Lenovo Phone reaches the end of its useful life, do not crush,
incinerate, immerse in water, or dispose of Lenovo Phone in any

European Directive 2006/66/EC concerning batteries and

Specific Absorption Rate information

This mobile device meets the government’s requirements for
exposure to radio waves. Your mobile device is a radio transmitter
and receiver. The exposure standard for mobile devices employs a
unit of measurement known as the Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR.
The SAR limit adopted by Europe is 2.0 W/kg averaged over 10
grams of tissue. The India SAR limit for mobile devices is 1.6 W/kg
averaged over 1 grams of tissue. Tests for SAR are conducted using
standard operating positions with the device transmitting at its
highest certified power level in all tested frequency bands.

Les batteries fournies par Lenovo à des fins d’utilisation avec votre

risque d’explosion si la batterie est remplacée par un modèle non

Consigne relative à la batterie rechargeable

DANGER: ne tentez pas de démonter ou de modifier la batterie. Si
vous le faites, vous risquez de faire exploser la batterie ou de provoquer
une fuite de liquide. Si vous remplacez la batterie par une batterie
différente de celle recommandée par Lenovo ou si vous démontez ou
modifier la batterie, celle-ci ne sera pas couverte par la garantie.
Si la batterie rechargeable n’est pas correctement placée, il existe un
risque d’explosion. Le bloc de batteries contient, en petite quantité,
des substances toxiques. Pour éviter toute blessure:
Ne remplacez la batterie que par une batterie du type recommandé
par Lenovo.
Tenez la batterie à l’écart du feu.
N’exposez pas la batterie à l’eau ou à la pluie.
N’essayez pas de démonter la batterie.
Ne mettez pas la batterie en court-circuit.
Tenez les enfants éloignés de la batterie.
Évitez de faire tomber la batterie.
Ne jetez pas la batterie à la poubelle ou à la décharge. Lorsque vous
vous débarrassez de la batterie, respectez la réglementation en
vigueur dans votre région.

Consignes relatives aux batteries rechargeables intégrées

ATTENTION: ne tentez pas de remplacer la batterie interne au
lithium-ion rechargeable. Pour effectuer un remplacement en usine,
contactez le support Lenovo.

En charge

Lenovo n’est pas responsable des performances ou de la sécurité
des produits non fabriqués ou non reconnus par Lenovo. Utilisez
uniquement des batteries et des adaptateurs secteur reconnus par
Lenovo. L’adaptateur doit se trouver près du produit et doit être
facilement accessible.

Empêcher les dommages auditifs

Le téléphone Lenovo est équipé d’un connecteur de casque. Utilisez
toujours ce connecteur pour brancher un casque ou des écouteurs.

ATTENTION: une pression sonore excessive dans les casques et

les écouteurs peut entraîner une perte de l’audition. En réglant le
volume au maximum, la tension de sortie dans le casque ou les
écouteurs et le niveau de pression sonore augmentent. An de
protéger votre audition, réglez le volume à un niveau approprié.

L’utilisation prolongée d’un casque ou d’écouteurs à un volume élevé
peut se révéler nocive si la sortie du casque ou des écouteurs n’est
pas conforme aux spécifications de la norme NF EN 50332-2.
Le connecteur de sortie casque du téléphone Lenovo est conforme
au sous-alinéa7 de la norme NF EN 50332-2. Ces spécifications
limitent la tension maximale de sortie efficace de la bande large du
téléphone Lenovo à 150mV. Pour vous protéger contre toute perte
auditive, assurez-vous que les casques ou les écouteurs que vous
utilisez sont également conformes aux spécifications de la norme NF
EN 50332-2 (alinéa 7 des limites) concernant le voltage de bande
large de 75 mV. Toute utilisation de casques non conformes aux

Ce périphérique mobile répond aux exigences gouvernementales en
