HOW IT WORKS
Cooling Mode – Functions like
an air conditioner
The XPG15 is an all-in-one cooling and
heating system. During summer months,
it works like an air conditioner. It pulls heat
from the air inside and pumps it outside.
Heating Mode – Collects heat
from the air outside
When the weather’s cooler, the process is
reversed—the system collects available
heat from the air outside and moves it
inside your home. Instead of burning fuel to
make heat, it uses electricity efficiently to
draw heat from outside.

Dual-Fuel Operation – Delivers
the ideal combination of comfort
and efficiency
During winter months, the XPG15 heat pump
works with a high-efficiency gas furnace to
provide money-saving comfort. Whenever the
weather becomes too cold for the heat pump
to operate efficiently (at or below 32°F), the
furnace automatically takes over to provide
the warmth you need.
Lennox’ dedicated dual-fuel technology
allows the system to alternate seamlessly
between gas and electric heat, making the
most efficient use of fuel sources based
on outdoor conditions. You can enjoy
improved comfort and energy savings
year-round.
