INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR CLEAN FACE PANEL KITS FOR USE WITH

MERIT ™, MERIT PLUS ™ OR ELITE® SERIES GAS FIREPLACES

GENERAL INFORMATION

These clean face panel kits may be used with Merit

Elite

series gas ﬁreplaces listed in

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Note: Do not operate ﬁreplace without the eyebrow installed in its normal

position. See models with clean face panel.

Step 1. Grasp the existing eyebrow and pull it forward away from the

ﬁreplace (it is held in place by spring tension). See

Step 2. Slightly lift and pull the existing top louver assembly away from

the ﬁreplace.

Step 3. Slide the existing eyebrow into the slots on the lower edge of the

top radiant replacement panel.

Step 4. Hang the top radiant panel/eyebrow assembly in the opening

previously occupied by the top louver assembly. See

Step 5. Open the bottom louver assembly by pushing in simultaneously

the left and right sides of the louver assembly (the assembly is hinged at the bottom).

Step 6. Merit Series Units - Remove the assembly from the ﬁreplace by

removing the hinge screw and spacer on each end of it.

Merit Plus and Elite Series Units - Remove the assembly from the

ﬁreplace by sliding the hinge pin, located at the door’s left side, to the right until it disengages from the left corner post hole. Pull the door diagonally to the left, away from the ﬁreplace.

Step 7. Snap the replacement Lennox nameplate logo into the 2 holes

provided in the replacement panel.

Step 8. Merit Series Units - Install the replacement bottom radiant panel

using the existing hinge screws and spacers.

Merit Plus and Elite Series Units - Install the replacement bottom

radiant panel by inserting the right side locating pin into the right cabinet corner post and then the left side spring-loaded pin into the left cabinet corner post.
