Gas conversion kits are available to adapt your appliance from the use of one type of gas to the use of another. These kits contain all the nec­essary components needed to complete the task including labeling that must be affixed to ensure safe operation.
Kit part numbers are listed here and the follow­ing steps detail the conversion procedure.
CAUTION: THE GAS SUPPLY SHALL BE SHUT OFF PRIOR TO DISCONNECTING THE ELEC­TRICAL POWER, BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THE CONVERSION.
Step 1. Turn off the gas supply to the appli-
ance and disconnect the electrical power.
Step 2. Carefully remove the logs. Exercise care so as not to break the logs. Remove any
lava rock within the burner pan.
Step 3. Remove the burner tube with attached venturi tube. Refer to of the control valve and regulator, main orifice and pilot.

Step 4. Dexen Electronic Valves - See
and the instructions provided with the kit. Re­move and discard the two pressure regulator mounting screws. Remove the pressure regu­lator and diaphragm. Discard all removed components. Ensure the provided diaphragm is installed properly onto the replacement pres­sure regulator and install the new pressure regulator using the new screws supplied with the kit. Tighten screws.

and replace the pilot orifice as follows: Remove pilot hood assembly to access the pilot orifice. Remove and replace the orifice with the one provided with the kit. Exercise
extreme care to prevent damage to or break­age of the ignitor assembly.
Step 5. (Refer to

A. Remove the orifice from the manifold and replace it with the one provided in the kit. See the following table for orifice sizes for natural and propane models

B. Retrieve the burner and slide the venturi tube over the orifice. Set the shutter adjusting opening as shown in

Step 6. Reassemble the remaining compo-
nents by reversing the procedures outlined in the preceding steps.
