Owner’s Manual

Thank you for purchasing the BCUNI2 / BCUNI3 Li-ion / NiCad /NiMH Battery Charger. The BCUNI2 /
BCUNI3 provides the ability to charge battery packs externally for Camcorders, Digital Cameras and
Mobile Phones plus charging for AA and AAA batteries. With the ease of adjustable contacts you are
able to charge nearly all common Li-ion, NiCd and NiMH batteries. In addition the unit is able to
charge USB equipment via its USB output port.

Operating Instructions

Adjusting the Sliding Cover.

For small or standard batteries, just simply pull
back the sliding cover. If your battery is larger,
you will need to press down the release
button which allows the sliding cover to
extend up to 3 inches, allowing you to charge
longer batteries.

Adjusting Contact Positions for Charging.

By manually moving the contact adjusters left
and right you are able to adjust the contacts
to your desired width to accommodate the
positive and negative terminals. Then with the
adjusting dial you are able to raise and lower
the contacts allowing the contacts to touch
the positive and negative terminals.

Inserting the Desired Battery to Charge.

With the sliding cover extended insert the
battery into the BCUNI2 / BCUNI3, slide the
battery back about 1/8 of an inch so you are
able to see the contacts on the battery as well
as the contacts on the charger. Manually
adjust the contacts on the charger to meet
the contacts on the battery. If needed adjust
the height of the contacts by using the
adjusting dial until the chargers contacts
meet the batteries contacts.

Charging AA and AAA Rechargeable Batteries.

You can charge either one or two batteries at a
time by sliding back the cover. Insert either one
battery by using the right channel or two
batteries by using both channels. (see diagram)
again use the adjusting dial to either raise or
lower the charger contacts to meet the batteries
contacts. Pay attention to the polarity markings
on the channel of the charger.

Note:

Do not mix cells type in the charging bays. Cells must be inserted in the charging bays must be the same size, capacity and
chemistry. (I.e. NiCd or NiMH) The charger may malfunction with mixed cell types or capacities in the charging bays and damage the
cells permanently.

TROUBLESHOOTING

NOTE: It is normal for the BCUNI2 /BCUNI3 to be warm during use.

Notice

Keep the BCUNI2 / BCUNI3 dry, if it gets wet wipe it dry immediately.

Use and store it in normal temperature environments.

Handle the BCUNI2 / BCUNI3 carefully, do not drop it. Do not use the BCUNI2 / BCUNI3 if
the cords become damaged.

Keep the BCUNI2 / BCUNI3 away from dust and dirt; wipe it with a cloth occasionally to keep it clean.

There are no user serviceable parts inside! Modifying or tampering with its internal components can cause a
malfunction and will invalidate its warranty. If your BCUNI2 / BCUNI3 is not performing as it should during
the warranty period, contact Lenmar for warranty service.

WARRANTY

This limited warranty starts from the date of original purchase and expires 2 years thereafter.
If, during this period, any part, because of manufacturing defects or workmanship fails to
function properly under normal use will be repaired at no charge for parts and labor or, at our
option, the product will be replaced. The following is excluded: damages from delay or loss of
use of equipment, or damaged batteries, malfunctions resulting from misuse, tampering,
unauthorized repairs, modifications, or accident. Package the unit and its accessories carefully
using ample padding material to prevent damage in transit and ship it prepaid and insured to:

When sending in product for service you must first get a Return Authorization by visiting
www.lenmar.com/warranty fill the out required form and our customer service reps will email
you instructions on returning the item to us and issue a RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER
(RA) to be include on the box and any corresponding paper work. If you have any questions
please call customer service at [phone].

All packages should include evidence of the date of purchase. Enclose $10.00 for shipping and
handling for addresses in the US and $15.00 for addresses in Canada. For outside the US and
Canada, freight will vary depending upon the ship to address.

Mode d'emploi

Merci d'avoir acheté le chargeur de piles Li-ion et NiMh BCUNI2/BCUNI3. Le chargeur
BCUNI2/BCUNI3 permet de charger les blocs d'alimentation hors des caméscopes, appareils photo
numériques et téléphones cellulaires ainsi que les piles AA et AAA. Grâce à la commodité des
contacts réglables, vous pouvez charger pratiquement toutes les piles courantes au Li-ion et NiMh.
En outre, cet appareil peut charger des dispositifs USB grâce au port d'alimentation USB.

Utilisation
Réglage du couvercle coulissant.

Pour les piles standards ou les petites piles, il
suffit d'ouvrir le couvercle coulissant. Dans le
cas des piles plus grosses, vous devez appuyer
sur le bouton de dégagement qui permet
d'ouvrir le couvercle jusqu'à 76 mm (3 po)
pour recevoir les piles plus longues.

Réglage des contacts de charge.

Déplacez manuellement les réglages de
gauche et droite pour ajuster les contacts de
charge à la largeur requise par les bornes
positives et négatives des piles. Ensuite, la
molette de réglage permet de soulever ou
d'abaisser les contacts pour qu'ils touchent les
bornes positives et négatives des piles.

Insertion de la pile à charger.

Ouvrez le couvercle coulissant et insérez la
pile dans le chargeur BCUNI2/BCUNI3;
ensuite, glissez la pile vers l'arrière de 3 mm
(1/8 po) pour voir les bornes de la pile et les
contacts de charge. Si nécessaire, réglez
manuellement les contacts de charge pour
qu'ils touchent les bornes de la pile. Réglez
la hauteur des contacts de charge si
nécessaire à l'aide de la molette de réglage
pour que les contacts de charge touchent
les bornes de la pile.

MOLETTE DE RÉGLAGE

Charge de piles AA et AAA rechargeables.

Vous pouvez charger une pile ou deux piles
simultanément en ouvrant le couvercle. Insérez une
pile dans la baie de droite ou deux piles en utilisant
les deux baies (voir l'illustration). Si nécessaire, réglez
la hauteur des contacts de charge à l'aide de la
molette de réglage pour que les contacts de charge
touchent aux bornes de la pile. Portez attention aux
polarités indiquées sur les baies du chargeur.

Remarque :

ne mélangez pas les types de piles dans les baies de charge. Les piles insérées doivent être de format, capacité et type identiques
(c.-à-d. NiCd ou NiMh). Si les types ou les capacités des piles dans les baies diffèrent, le chargeur peut ne pas fonctionner
correctement et risque d’endommager les piles de manière permanente.

DÉPANNAGE

REMARQUE : il est normal que le chargeur BCUNI2/BCUNI3 soit chaud pendant le fonctionnement.

Avis

Conservez le chargeur BCUNI2/BCUNI3 au sec; s'il est humide, essuyez-le immédiatement.

Utilisez-le et rangez-le à des températures normales.

Manipulez le chargeur BCUNI2/BCUNI3 avec soin; ne pas le laisser tomber. N'utilisez pas le chargeur
BCUNI2/BCUNI3 si les cordons sont endommagés.

Conservez le chargeur BCUNI2/BCUNI3 à l'abri de la poussière et de la saleté; essuyez-le périodiquement
avec un chiffon.

Aucune pièce à l'intérieur du produit ne peut être réparée par l'utilisateur! La modification ou l'altération des
pièces à l'intérieur peut entraîner un mauvais fonctionnement et annule la garantie. Si le chargeur
BCUNI2/BCUNI3 ne fonctionne pas correctement pendant la durée de la garantie, communiquez avec
Lenmar pour le faire réparer sous garantie.

GARANTIE

La présente garantie limitée commence à la date du premier achat et se termine deux années plus tard. Si,
durant cette période, une pièce ne fonctionne pas correctement en usage normal en raison d'un défaut de
fabrication ou de main-d'oeuvre, elle sera réparée sans frais pour la pièce ou la main-d'oeuvre ou le produit
sera remplacé, à notre discrétion. Sont exclus les dommages dus à un délai ou à la perte d'usage de l'appareil
ou des piles endommagées, à un mauvais fonctionnement découlant d'une utilisation incorrecte,
d'altération, de réparation non autorisée, de modification ou d'accident. Emballez soigneusement l'appareil
et ses accessoires en utilisant suffisamment de matelassures pour éviter les dommages pendant le transport
