Owner’s manual
Thank you for purchasing the PowerPort Solar Portable Charger and Battery. Take the compact, lightweight
PowerPort Solar with you wherever you go and have a handy charger or rescue battery that works anywhere!
The PowerPort Solar charges your PDA, mobile phone, MP3 player, game system, or any device that can be
charged via a USB cable connection.
Included in the package you have purchased:
• PowerPort Battery / Charger
• USB charging cable
• Adapter Tips for various mobile devices

Charging your PowerPort Solar from a USB powered port
Note: Prior to initial use, fully charge your PowerPort Solar before connecting to your device.
From a USB powered port:
Attach the Mini USB adapter tip to the small end of the cable (B), and then
plug into the Mini USB port on the bottom of the PowerPort Solar.
Then plug the other end of the USB cable (A) into any powered USB port.
While charging from a powered USB port, the PowerPort’s Solar LED battery
status indicator will light up green. When the charge has been completed, the
charging LED will turn “OFF”. Once the charging indicator shows the charge
has completed, disconnect the battery from the USB power source.
Approximate time for a full charge is 2.5 - 4 hours from a USB port.
From Direct Sunlight
Place your PowerPort Solar in direct sunlight to start the charging process; you
will see the red charging LED if you have optimal sunlight.
The charging time depends upon the intensity of sunlight, charging times may
be longer or shorter depending upon factors such as residual battery charge
and weather conditions.
Note: A one hour charge using direct sunlight will provide enough power for a
5-10 minute phone call, and a three hour charge will provide enough power for
a 15-25 minute phone call.

Charging Your Device Using Your PowerPort Solar
1. Plug the USB end of the cable (A) into the top of the PowerPort Solar’s USB slot
labeled “OUT” (see diagram).
2. Choose the appropriate adapter tip for your device and attach it to the small end
of the cable (B).

Note: You may charge additional devices with your existing USB cable.
3. Connect the adapter tip to your device.
4. Your device should indicate that it is receiving power. PowerPort Solar’s
“Powering Device” LED will be blue while charging a device.
5. If you are using the PowerPort Solar to recharge your device, be sure to
disconnect as soon as possible after your device is recharged to conserve the power
in the PowerPort Solar, and to avoid overcharging your device’s battery.
Note: * While charging from the sun, the LED light turns RED. The LED will indicate
RED when the sun is strong enough to charge PowerPort Solar. It is normal for the
PowerPort Solar to become warm during charging or use.

Caution
- Do not overcharge the PowerPort. This will shorten the life span of the device.
- Disconnect the PowerPort as soon as it is practical after the charge is complete.
- Recycle or dispose of the PowerPort properly. If disposed of in re or short–circuited, the PowerPort
may leak or explode, causing personal injury.
- When not in use, unplug the PowerPort Solar from all cables and devices.
- Do not drop.

- Send back the product freight prepaid (we recommend insuring the package as Lenmar will not be responsible for shipments lost or damaged in transit).
Include $10.00 payable to Lenmar Battery Solutions for processing fee for ship to address in the Continental United States.
Include $15.00 for ship to address in Hawaii, Alaska or Canada.
Use preprinted Lenmar shipping label or clearly print your RA Number on the outside of the shipping carton.

Mode d'emploi
Merci d’avoir acheté le produit Chargeur et pile portable PowerPort solaire. Apportez le PowerPort solaire
compact et léger avec vous partout et vous aurez un chargeur pratique ou une pile de secours qui fonctionne
n'importe où! Le PowerPort solaire permet de charger votre ANP, votre téléphone mobile, votre lecteur MP3,
votre système de jeu ou tout autre appareil pouvant être chargé à l’aide d'une connexion de câble USB.

Charger votre PowerPort solaire depuis un port USB
Remarque : chargez le PowerPort solaire complètement avant de l'utiliser pour la première fois et
de le brancher sur l'appareil.
Depuis un port USB :
Fixez la che d'alimentation Mini USB à la petite extrémité du câble (B), puis
branchez-la sur le port Mini USB dans le bas du PowerPort solaire. Branchez
ensuite le bout USB du câble (A) sur un port USB sous tension.
Lorsque vous chargez depuis un port USB, le voyant d’état DEL de la pile du
PowerPort solaire s’allumera en vert. Une fois le chargement terminé, le
voyant de charge DEL s’éteindra. Lorsque le voyant de charge indique que le
chargement est terminé, débranchez la pile de la source d'alimentation USB.
Il faut de 2,5 à 4 heures pour charger complètement depuis un port USB.
Directement depuis le soleil
Placez votre PowerPort solaire directement au soleil pour lancer le processus de
charge; vous verrez le voyant de charge DEL rouge si vous avez une exposition
solaire optimale.
Le temps de charge dépend de l’intensité du soleil; le temps de charge peut être
plus long ou plus court en fonction de facteurs tels que la charge résiduelle
dans la pile et les conditions météorologiques.
Remarque : Une charge d’une heure directement au soleil fournira
susamment de puissance pour un appel téléphonique de 5 à 10 minutes, et
une charge de trois heures fournira susamment de puissance pour un appel
téléphonique de 15 à 25 minutes.

Charger l’appareil à l’aide du PowerPort solaire
1. Branchez le bout USB du câble (A) sur la prise OUT USB dans le haut du
PowerPort solaire (voir le schéma).
2. Sélectionnez la prise d’alimentation appropriée pour l’appareil et xez-la à la
petite extrémité du câble (B).

Remarque : Vous pouvez charger des appareils additionnels à l’aide
de votre câble USB.
3. Branchez la prise d’alimentation sur l’appareil.
4. L’appareil devrait maintenant indiquer qu’il reçoit l’alimentation.
Le voyant DEL « Alimentation d’un appareil » du PowerPort solaire s’allumera en
bleu lorsqu’il charge un appareil.
5. Si vous utilisez le PowerPort solaire pour recharger l’appareil, assurez-vous de le
débrancher dès que possible après que l’appareil est rechargé an de conserver la
charge dans le PowerPort solaire et pour éviter de surcharger la pile de l’appareil.
Remarque : * Lors du chargement depuis le soleil, le voyant DEL s’allumera en
ROUGE. Le voyant DEL s’allumera en ROUGE lorsque le soleil est susamment
intense pour charger le PowerPort solaire. Il est normal que le PowerPort solaire
devienne chaud pendant la charge ou l'utilisation.
Mise en garde
- Ne surchargez pas le PowerPort. Cela réduira la durée de vie de l’appareil.
- Débranchez le PowerPort dès que possible une fois la charge complète.
- Recyclez ou jetez le PowerPort de la manière appropriée. S’il est jeté au feu ou s’il est court-circuité, le PowerPort peut couler ou exploser et
causer des blessures.
- Lorsqu’il n’est pas utilisé, débranchez le PowerPort solaire de tous les câbles et de tous les appareils.
- Ne l’échappez pas.
