Thank you for purchasing a Lemet electric water heater. An electric water heater is a device used to
heat water and store that water in a heated state by means of electricity. It is the ideal solution for light
commercial, industrial and domestic hot water requirements. Please read and understand this manual
before commencing to install the unit and leave the manual with the user.
ECOWAY, GREENLINE and SMALL water heaters can be installed only with the use of muffs
(domestic cold water inlet and domestic hot water outlet) facing downwards. They can work in a
pressurized system with one or more domestic hot water intake points. The vertical mounting method
is specified on the cover. The heater is highly insulated and can remain switched on at all times.
1. GENERAL WARNINGS
1. Installation must be undertaken by a competent, preferably certified, installer with knowledge
in the installation of unvented electric water heaters. The manufacturer shall not be liable for
damage resulting from incorrect installation or a failure to comply with this instruction manual.
The assembly must be performed by qualified staff having appropriate permissions, and
executed in accordance with the conditions contained in the manual. The installation must be
confirmed in the warranty card.
2. Do not use the water heater when frozen. Wait until the water flows again in the water heater
before using.
3. Do not attempt to repair, but call a certified installer. Failing to do so will void your warrantee.
4. The appliance may be used by children aged 8 and over and persons with reduced mental,
physical or sensory capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge only when they are
under supervision or they have been instructed on how to operate the heater safely and know
the risks. Children must never play with the water heater nor must they clean the heater or
service the water heater.
5. Always use the supplied pressure relief valve or a KIWA approved pressure relief valve.
Failing to do so will restrict the proper functioning of your water heater and can potentially
damage your water heater.
6. Failing to use the supplied pressure relief valve or a KIWA approved pressure relief valve will
void your warrantee.
7. Always install a stopcock on mains water supply line for easy installation and servicing.
8. IMPORTANT: We strongly recommend to install a pressure reducing valve if the water
pressure is too high (5 bar or more) or if you suffer from fluctuating water pressure. High water
pressure and/or fluctuating water pressure often occur in apartment building, flats, farms,
older houses and houses and buildings in elevated areas. Any damage caused by a too high
water pressure or fluctuating water pressure will not be covered by the warrantee.

2.4 CONSTRUCTION
The heater tank is made of sheet steel covered with ceramic coating, which constitutes a passive
corrosion protection. An additional corrosion protection is a magnesium anode. In the tank bottom
there is a flange with a flanged lip fastened with bolts or a plug. A heater and a magnesium anode are
installed in the flanged lip or in the plug. In the ECOWAY, GREENLINE models the insulation is made
of polyurethane foam, whereas in the SMALL model with polystyrene.
Water is heated by an electric heater, which in the GREENLINE and SMALL models is controlled by a
thermostat and in the ECOWAY model by means of an electronic controller. An overheat protection
of water heated by the electric heating element is in this case a non-automatic temperature limiter,
which disconnects the electric circuit when the water temperature rises too high. This limiter requires
manual start in order to restart the heater. In the housing of the heating element control system there
is a lamp signalling the operation of the electrical heating element.
Two connection muffs are lead from the housing; in the ECOWAY, GREENLINE and SMALL models,
connection of cold water is marked with a blue band, and the outflow of hot water is marked with a red
band.
