The machine type can be adjusted:
D 4060 D 6060
Dependent on the configuration further models can be selected.
Pressure drop
After tying has been effected, the baling channel can automatically be switched to pressure-off status for a short time (0..5 s) to ensure that the finished knots are easily and correctly withdrawn from the knotters during conveyance of the finished bale. This function is primarily used:
when silage is processed. if too little material is transported into the machine after the
finished bale (i.e. the finished bale is not conveyed speedily).
The length of time for the pressure drop in the baling channel can be set between 0 seconds and 5 seconds.
Knotter alarm
Any knotter alarm is optically indicated in the display, see chapter "Knotter faults", page 15.
In addition, an audible knotter alarm can be activated: Knotter alarm ON:
Any knotter alarm occurring is audibly indicated.
Knotter alarm OFF:

Beep
The beep indicates audibly that a key on the control box has been pressed. The beep can be switched on or off and the length of the beep can be varied (0..50 ms).
Worm monitor (D 4060 only)
When the control recognizes blocking of at least one of the two worms (worms between rotor and compactor) the PU stop is activated. The PU stop will only be deactivated when the two worms rotate again.
Worm monitoring becomes active only from a certain operating speed: approx. 800 U/min.

CAN modules
Note!
To avoid operating errors: adhere to the following procedure
When the inquiry as to whether both CAN modules are to be used is answered with "No" and subsequently with "Yes", the inquiry "P
ROGRAMING NEW ADDRESS?" will be displayed:
(Step 1) Actuate no further keys. (Step 2) Restore old status: Switch off power supply on
switch box, Figure: 1.
If by mistake the inquiry "P
ROGRAMING NEW ADDRESS?" is
answered with "Yes" (via the key <Pr>), both CAN modules are given the same address, i.e. both CAN modules are addressed by means of the same "name". As a result, the functions controlled by the renamed CAN module are no more available. If this happens:
(Step 3) Switch power supply on switch box off and on
again (Figure: 1). The system starts anew.
After switching-on again, the message "CAN
MODULE #XY IS
MISSING
" is displayed. If this error message does not appear, the CAN modules can be checked as described under steps 10 to 14.
(Step 4) Disconnect CAN module #2 from control system by
pulling the plug (in the switch box). Ignore any error message "CAN
MODULE #XY IS MISSING" which might occur,
and acknowledge with key <
>.
(Step 5) In the Setup on page 2/2, set "CAN module 1" from
"N
O" to "YES": key < >.
Answer the inquiry "PROGRAMING NEW ADDRESS?" with
"Y
ES". If CAN module 1 had already been set to "YES", it
must first be set to"N
O".
CAN module addressing is finished after a few seconds.
(Step 6) Reconnect plug of module 2 and remove plug of
module 1, and proceed with module 2 – as described under steps 4 and 5.
(Step 7) Ignore and acknowledge any error messages
possibly appearing during this process.
(Step 8) Reconnect CAN module 1. (Step 9) Switch power supply on switch box off and on
again (Figure: 1). The system starts anew.
Page 22
SETUP menue
22 E-LINK D 6060 • D 4060
If 10 seconds after the new start no CAN error message is displayed, you can assume that both CAN modules work correctly again. This can be tested as described in steps 10 to
14.
If a CAN error message appears, the procedure must be repeated beginning with step 3. When module x is to be addressed, the plug of module y must be pulled. When module y is to be addressed, the plug of module x must be pulled.
To test the CAN modules steps 10 to 14 must be carried out:
(Step 10) In the "Actors" diagnosis, go to page 2/2 (valves
1, 2, 3, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15).
(Step 11) Activate automatic diagnosis by means of the key
<
> (START/STOP).
If some or all valves do not switch, a CAN module is not correctly addressed.
(Step 12) Address both modules once again anew
(beginning with step 3).
If all valves switch correctly, it is possible that the CAN modules were exchanged by mistake during new addressing.
(Step 13) In the " Digital sensors " diagnosis, go to page
3/4.
(Step 14) Test with the keys for the chute and the bale
extractor.
If closing of the keys is correctly indicated in the diagnosis, addressing has been successfully finished. If the key changes are not correctly indicated, the two modules have been exchanged and must be addressed anew (beginning with step
3).

Remark:
The chain lubrication pump is supplied with bower via the switch box located in the tying mechanism area. Fan (blower) and chain lubrication pump are diagnosable only together: In diagnosis, any malfunction of the fan is indicated only, if e. g. the broken wire is located between main switch box and fan switch box. A broken wire between switch box/tying mechanism area and fan or chain lubrication pump is not diagnosable, not even if both consumers (fan and chain lubrication pump) are defective. If a fan or the chain lubrication pump does not work, this is in most cases due to a blown fuse in the switch box/tying mechanism area. Each fan is protected by a 10 A flat fuse (red), the fan to which the lubricating pump is connected is protected by a 15 A fuse (blue).

Standard diagnosis – Analog sensors
In the "Analog sensors" diagnosis, all analog measuring values are displayed numerically and as a bar graph.
The diagnosis screen "1/2" shows - besides the pressure - also the calibration value. When the system is in the pressure-off status, the calibration value is calculated anew after 30 sec.:
The diagnosis screen "2/2" shows the output signal of the strain bolt. The displayed voltage drops with increasing strain:

Extended diagnosis
The extended diagnosis offers a possibility of viewing sensor and actor screens during machine operation.
Operation of the extended diagnosis is identical to that of the standard diagnosis. In case of extended diagnosis, however, the operator has exclusively the function of an observer. Any interference in the sequence of machine operations, e. g. starting of the automatic actor diagnosis or switching of a selected actor channel, will immediately stop machine operation and thus the extended diagnosis.
Attention, danger of injury!
While the machine is in operation:
Never climb the drawbar or any other parts of the machine.
Keep sufficient distance to the range of action of the machine (support foot, pick-up, conveying elements, bale chute).
Never stay or work below the machine.
Never carry out any adjustment and maintenance work on the machine while the drive is running.
Before opening the protections: Switch off p.t.o. shaft drive and tractor engine, wait until machine has stopped, remove the ignition key.
Observe the safety instructions, chapter "General Information", page 8.
Return to the menue selection: Press key < >.
Return to MONITOR menue: press key < > for 3 sec.
Call extended diagnosis: press key < > and key
<
> simultaneously.
