Warning: Please check your state and local laws before installing this LED Lighting Kit. Every state has different policies and procedures in place regarding aftermarket LED lighting accessories. LEDGlow is not responsible for any fines that you may receive while using this lighting kit. This kit is for off road use only.
Warning: The installation of this kit is recommended to be installed by a licensed professional. The improper installation of this kit will void all warranties.
It is recommended to install each pod light using 3M™ Adhesion Promoter which allows for a much stronger bond between the
adhesive tape of the pod and mounting surface. This is an optional installation accessory that is NOT included with your pod lighting kit.
Users have the option to upgrade the included power switch to the control box with wireless remote.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS THROUGHLY BEFORE INSTALLING AND OPERATING THIS POD LIGHTING KIT.
Pod Lighting Kit Includes:
1. Upon receiving your new pod lighting kit, we ask that you first test the kit to ensure it is functioning properly.
Connect the white stripe power wire to the positive terminal of the battery and the black ground wire to the negative terminal of the battery. Once the wires are temporarily secure, connect the lights to the switch by using the included harness. Power the kit on to ensure full functionality before installing the kit. If everything appears to be working correctly, turn the kit off and disconnect the pod lights and power wires from the battery to prepare for installation. Upgrade Option: If you upgraded your pod lighting kit to include the control box with wireless remote instead of power switch, connect the red power wire to the positive terminal of the battery and the black ground wire. Power the kit by pressing the “A” button on the wireless remote. If everything appears to be working correctly, turn the kit of and disconnect the pod lights and power wires from the battery to prepare for installation.
2. Optional: Remove any trim pieces from your motorcycle that may hinder the installation of the pods.
3. Begin by first laying out the pod LED lights similar to the way they will be installed. Make sure that the wires will
be able to be routed in such a way that they will not be pinched, cut or exposed to heat. Also, keep the pod lights and wires away from all moving parts that may come in contact with any part of the kit. IF A POWER WIRE IS
PINCHED, IT WILL CAUSE THE KIT TO MALFUNCTION AND WILL VOID THE WARRANTY DUE TO PHYSICAL DAMAGE.
4. Temporarily place the motorcycle pod lights to their intended mounting locations and route the power wires to the
planned power switch or control box mounting area. Use the zip ties (not included) to secure the power wires to their mounting points. Be sure to keep the power wires away from the suspension, any direct heat sources and/or moving parts. A few recommended locations on your motorcycle to mount the pod lights are under the gas tank, lower frame rail, rear fender frame rail, triple trees, lower swing arm, and under the seat.
5. Once the pod lights and wires have been mocked up, clean the proposed mounting surfaces with an alcohol prep
pad. The mounting surface should be between 45 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit to achieve the strongest bonding results from the double sided adhesive tape. Note: The surface area must be free of all oils, moisture, dirt, and wax in order for the supplied adhesive tape to bond and adhere to the installation surface correctly. Recommended: To achieve the strongest bond between the pod light and the motorcycle, you can use 3M Adhesive Promoter, which is sold separately from your kit.
6. Mount each pod light to the cleaned and dry surface of the motorcycle by using the supplied 3M tape under the
pod light. Run the wires to the planned location of the power switch or control box and secure the wire to the bike frame by using zip ties. Once this step is complete and the pod lights and wires are secure, allow ample time for the adhesive to settle and cure. Repeat this step for the remaining pod lights included with your kit.
7. Find a secure and dry location to mount the power switch or control box. We recommend mounting it under the
seat or in a water tight compartment if possible. If this is not possible then we suggest mounting it in the driest location available. The power switch and/or control box is not designed to withstand any water damage and if any does occur, it will void all warranties. Optional: Seal the end caps of the control box with silicone to prevent water damage.
8. Power Switch Installation: Connect the white stripe power wire from the power switch to the positive terminal of
the battery. Connect the black ground wire to the negative terminal of the battery.
9. Control Box Installation: Connect the red power wire from the control box to the positive terminal of the battery.
Connect the black ground wire to the negative terminal of the battery.
10. The pod lighting kit was designed using a modular locking plug system for connecting the motorcycle pod lights
to the power switch or control box by using the included wire harness. Start plugging the male connections from the pod lights and power switch/control box into the female connections of the harness. Secure the excess wires of the pod lights and harness to the frame of your bike by using zip ties. DO NOT CUT OR SHORTEN ANY WIRES, YOU WILL VOID THE WARRANTY.
11. If you removed any trim for this installation, you can now reinstall them and test the functionality of your kit by
pressing the power switch or button “A” on the wireless remote.
12. Expandability: This Pod Lighting Kit has the ability to be expanded to include up to 20 pod lights for maximum
brightness. Users can purchase Add-On Pod Lights directly from www.LEDGlow.com

Wireless Remote Functions:
This kit provides multiple lighting patterns and several brightness levels, which are easily operated by using the included wireless remote. The remote includes four buttons, “A, B, C, D”
Button A: Powers the Kit On and Controls 4 Brightness Levels Button B: Controls 3 Strobing Modes Button C: Controls Fading Mode Button D: Turns the Kit Off
Reprogramming the Wireless Remote:
Remove the end cap from the control box and slide the circuit board out of the housing. Remove the tape from around
the circuit board. Once the tape is removed, you will see a white box on the circuit board that says “key”. Using a paper clip, touch the two silver tabs that are located at the bottom of the “key” box. Once you touch the two silver tabs, a red LED will
illuminate. While the LED is lit, press any button on the wireless remote and you will see the LED flash and turn off. Press the “A” button the remote to power the kit and ensure it is functioning properly. Place the tape back on the circuit board and slide it back into the housing of the control box.
Troubleshooting:
If the kit or lights do not appear to operate, first check the installed inline mini fuse. If the fuse is blown, check the wires on the entire kit to ensure they are not cut, pinched or scorched. If there is no damage to any of the wires and no water damage is visible to the control box, replace the fuse and test the kit again. If the inline fuse is intact, clean both the positive and negative terminals of the battery. Corrosion to the battery terminal can cause a poor connection or simulate being disconnected.
