Warning: The installation of this kit is recommended to be installed by a licensed professional. The improper installation of this kit will void all
warranties. This golf cart lighting kit was designed to be powered by a 12 volt power source. If you are running a 36 or 48 volt system, a
step down transformer is required.
The control box that is used to power this lighting kit must be installed in a dry location! Having this part exposed to water or the
elements will cause the kit’s controller to fail. Any water damage or corrosion to this part will VOID all warranties.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY BEFORE INSTALLING AND OPERATING THIS LED
GOLF CART KIT.
Golf Cart Installation:
1. Arrange the tubes out on the ground and test the kit to ensure proper functionality before installing.
2. Temporarily power your kit with any 12 volt source to ensure it is functioning properly before you move forward with the installation.
Simply connect the red wire to the positive terminal and the black wire to any good bare ground source or to the negative terminal of
the battery. Power the kit on to ensure full functionality. Once you have determined the kit is functioning properly, remove the power
from your kit.
3. Optional: Raise and support the golf cart if necessary.
4. Before mounting each tube, please refer to the schematic below to ensure correct placement and tube direction.
5. Start with the front tube and mount it with plenty of clearance from heat and moving parts. The tube is flexible and can be contoured
6. Repeat Step #4 for the remaining 3 underbody tubes. It is very important to ensure that all of the wires do not come in contact with
7. Connect the red wire to a 12 volt source. If a 12 volt source is not available because you have a 36 or 48 volt system, then it is
incase the undercarriage is not flat. Make sure that the wires are routed AWAY FROM ANY MOVING PARTS OR EXHAUST.
For gas powered golf carts, leave at least 10 inches between the exhaust and the tube. Also, be sure to keep all wires and tubes away
from any steering suspension parts. You can use the provided self- tapping screws and/or zip ties to hold the tubes in place. If you use
the provided screws, use a zip tie to secure the tube.
any moving parts and/or heat.
required to use a step down transformer which is available at any electronic store. VERIFY VOLTAGE WITH A MULTI-METER
BEFORE CONNECTING THE KIT TO THE GOLF CART.
8. If you need to extend the power wires, be sure to use a 16 or 18 gauge
automotive grade wire. If you are running the power wire to the battery and must go
through metal, use an existing grommet or drill a hole and add a new grommet, which is
available at any auto parts store. Be sure to install the fuse within 6 inches of the power
source. If you connect the power wire to a switched 12 volt source, then it may not
remember the previous color and pattern it was last on. If you are running the wire to the
fuse block, LEDGlow recommends that you install the wire using our Expandable
Circuit, which is available online at www.LEDGlow.com or at any auto parts store.
9. Connect the black wire to a good ground source, grounding block, or you can
connect it directly to the negative terminal of the battery.
10. Next, mount the junction box on the golf cart away from heat and in a dry
location. The junction box must be mounted away from moisture and the elements.
CORROSION TO THE JUNCTION BOX WILL VOID ALL WARRANTIES
AND MAY CAUSE CONTROLLER FAILURE.
11. Starting with the rear tubes, run the wires to the dry location of the junction
box. Make sure to secure the wires tightly when going around any suspension parts and
exhaust. Leave at least 10 inches between the exhaust and the wires. Also, be sure to
keep all wires and tubes away from any suspension parts. If a wire is pinched, the kit
may malfunction and could void the warranty. Run the wires along one side of the golf
cart and make sure to tightly secure it. Then, run the front tube wires to the junction box.
12. Once again, make sure the wire is mounted away from heat and moving
parts. Any excess wire will have to be bound and secured tightly with zip ties.
13. Now that the tubes’ wires are connected to the junction box, plug the male
connector of the control box into the female port of the junction box.
14. Lower the golf cart if it was raised, and test your new LEDGlow Single Color Golf Cart Underbody Kit.
15. With the golf cart on the ground, turn the steering wheel as far as it can go in both directions to ensure that there will be no tubes
and/or wires coming in contact with the tire as you’re driving. If a tube or wire is damaged by the tire, the warranty will be voided.
