Remote Command Compatibility of 9400 vs. 9300, and LC Series Scopes

The following document contains only the differences between the 9400 and 9300, LC command set. All
other common commands have remained the same. They are listed in alphabetical order.

93XX, LX command

Attenuation 93xx reports the status of Ext. trigger input (Ex & Ex10)

Coupling additional query response for overload (OVL)

Cursor_Set Traces (EA, EB, MC, MD, FE, FF) replaced by (TA, TB, TC, TD)

Cursor_Value Traces (EA, EB, MC, MD, FE, FF) replaced by (TA, TB, TC, TD)

Define Same as cursor value and Max points can be set to scope memory max.

Function_Reset Traces (EA, EB, MC, MD, FE, FF) replaced by (TA, TB, TC, TD)

Function_State Not implemented in the 93XX, or LCXXX platform.

Grid Quad grid available on 93XX, and Octal grid on LCXXX

Hardcopy_Setup Extra available ports, Internal, Card, Disk, GPIB, and RS232.

Hor_Magnify Same as Function_Reset, and range factor increased to 20K maximum

Hor_Position Traces (EA, EB, MC, MD, FE, FF) replaced by (TA, TB, TC, TD)

Inspect? Same as Hor_position, but replace includes (M1, M2, M3, M4)

Intensity Local mode disable switch has been dropped

Key Button range reduced from (1 to 9), to (2 to 6), L1, L2, LB dropped.

Message Message length increased from 45 to 48 characters.

Panel_Setup 94XX and 93XX, LCXXX are not interchangeable.

Parameter_Value? Same as Hor_Position.

Pass_Fail_Condition Same as Hor_Position

Pass_Fail_Do Action changes: Stop, SCDP, Store, STCD. Pulse and Beep available.

Pass_Fail_Mask Same as Hor_Position.

Per_Cursor_Value Same as Hor_Position.

*RCL Panel setup range reduced from 0 to 7, to 0 to 4.

Recall Destination memory changed to (M1, M2, M3, M4)

*SAV Same as *RCL.

Segments Range increased model dependent.

Differences from 94xx Syntax

Select Trace names changed to (TA, TB, TC, TD)

Sequence New command replaces Trigger_Mode_Sequence.

Store Same as Select, including All_displayed, and new destinations

available: (M1, M2, M3, M4, Card, Flpy)

Store_Setup Same as Store.

Trace Same as Hor_Position.

Trig_Level Increased from (-20 to 20V) depending on model.

Trig_Mode Wrap not available, Stop was added.

Trig_Select PA dropped, Drop, Edge, Glitch, and Interval added.
Hold type, PL, P2, I2, and off added.
Trig_Window Implemented on some 9300 and LC models.

URR? Value changed from (0 to 9, 100) to (0 to 5, 100).

Vert_Magnify Same as Hor_Position.

Vert_Position Same as Hor_Position.

Volt_Div Maximum gain range increased from 2mV to 5V. model dependent.

Waveform Same as Hor_Position, plus (M1, M2, M3, M4).

Waveform_Setup Maximum segment size is increased, model dependent.

Waveform_Text Same as Waveform.

XY_Assign Same as Hor_Position.

Zoom Same as Hor_Position.
