3- GETTIN G STARTED
3.1. Insert SIM card
A71 is a Dua l SIM mobi le phone a llowing you to use the
facility of tw o networks. To insert SIM card(s) :
Switch o ff the mobile phone and remove the rear cover and
battery.
Insert the SIM card c orrectly in the ca rd slot(s). (see below
fig)
Insert SIM c ard carefully!
Final ly ins ert the battery a nd replace the rear cove r of the
mobile phon e.
3.2. Insert Me mory card
A71 allows you to expand external m emory w ith a micro SD
card, up to 32G B.
Power of f the mobil e phone, and the n remove the rear
cover and battery.
Insert the memory card into the s lot.

Finally insert the battery and the rear cover of the mobile
phone.
Use only compatible memory cards approved by with this
device. Incompatible memory cards may damage the card or
the device w ill corrupt the data store d in the card.
3.3. Unlock the Phone
You may need to provide PIN, Password, or draw a patte rn to
unlock your phone.
To unlock the screen:
Press the power key to wake up the phone.
Hold and drag the unlock icon to upside to unlock.

You may be required t o unlock your phone based on the
unlock metho d in settings.
Smart awake:
A71 offers you s mart awake funct ion, when the sc reen is
locked, you c an scroll gestures on the sc reen to unlock it to
enter int o the d esignated applicat ion, or double click to wake
up the sc reen, go to Settings->Smart features Smart awake
to turn ON&O FF this function, you can also custom ize t he
function of the letter g estures. Below pl ease find t he list of
the default f unc tion. The function is set off as default.

To set the unlock met hod:
On the ma in menu, touch Settings > Security.
Touch set up scree n lock.
Choose t he type of locki ng as desired. You c an set your
screen lock on the basis of pattern, PI N, Password or none.
3.4. Using the Touch screen
You can use the tou ch screen in the follow ing ways:
Touch: Acts on items on the screen, such as applicati on and
settings icons, to ty pe letters and symbols using the ons creen
keyboard, or to press onscreen button s.
Touch and hold: Touch and hold an item on the screen until
an action occ urs.
Drag: Touch and ho ld an item and move your finger on the
screen until y ou reach the target pos it ion.
Swipe or s lide: Qu ick ly slide your finger across th e surface
of the screen, (without dragging an item). For examp le, slide
the screen u p or down to scroll a list,
Pinch: In s ome appl icat ions (Suc h as Browser, an d Galle ry)
you can zoom in an d out by placing two f ingers on the screen
at once and pinching them togethe r (t o zoom out) or
spreading th em apart (to zoom i n).
Rotate the screen: On most screens, the orientation of the
screen changes as you rotate it. You can turn this featu re ON
and OFF.

The phone’s buttons offer a lot of functions and shortcuts.

menus for acc essing the features in a n intuitive way.
