Power on and Standby operation

Listening the radio stations
Press the SOURCE button to select radio
function. Pressing the BAND button selects the
FM radio band (FM1 and FM2) and AM radio
band. (see Fig 10)
Press the TRACK/TUNE button to find a specific
frequency manually tune one step frequency at a

automatically search the next clear station (the
PREV button search down, the NEXT button
search up). (See Fig. 11)
You can store eight FM stations in the preset
bank FM1 and eight different FM stations in the
preset bank FM2. You also can store eight AM

Press the BAND button to select the desired
preset bank (FM1 , FM2 or AM). Tune to an FM o
AM station which you want. Press and hold the
desired PRESET (1-8) button until the unit beeps.
The station will be stored. After the store session,
pressing the preset button 1-8 will recall the
stored stations.

Starting CD mode
Plug the power cord to AC outlet, then press the
POWER button to start operation.
Press the SOURCE button repeatedly to select
CD mode for CD playback.
If the unit isn’t in CD mode, you also can directly
insert a CD disc into the CD slot to automatically
select CD mode and playback.
Basic CD operation
Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to toggle play and
pause operation. (See Fig. 12)
Press the STOP button for stopping playback.
Press the EJECT button to eject disc. (See Fig.

Press the NEXT and PREV button to select track.

Press and hold the NEXT and PREV button to
forward scan and reverse scan.

Press the SEARCH button to toggle search
function in MP3 disc. There are four modes in
search function: track search, file search, folder
search and explore mode. (See Fig. 16)
Track search: you can jump to any track in MP3
disc directly by entering track number. Press the
volume button to change digital and press the
NEXT and PREV button to move digital position
and press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start
playback.
File search: search file using file name. Press the
volume button to change character and press the
NEXT and PREV button to move character
position and press the PLALY/PAUSE button to
start playback.
Folder search: search file using folder name.
Explore mode: explore all folders in disc. Press
the NEXT and PREV button to change folder and
press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start playback.
NOTE: The unit just can use standard 12cm(4 3/4”)
compact discs. Please don’t place the smaller discs
into the CD slot.

Jog Menu Operation
JOG menu operation:
You can change some features of this unit by pressing
JOG button. Press the JOG button on the front panel
or on the remote control to select the options in JOG
menu. (see Fig.17)
Press the JOG button repeatedly to select additional
options.
After the JOG option show on LCD, you can use the
VOLUME knob on the front panel or VOLUME button
on the remote control to adjust settings of JOG function.
JOG operation keeps five seconds after the last adjustment.
There are seven options in JOG menu for user selecting.
(see Fig.18)
Bass: You can adjust the bass output of the unit in eight steps up an down.
Treble: You can adjust the treble output of the unit
in eight steps up or down.
Sound: You can adjust the sound mode to
STEREO and WIDE.
Snooze Time : You can adjust the snooze time
from 5 minutes to 22 minutes.
Disc Text Display: This text display option is for
CD TEXT disc and MP3 disc with ID3 tag. The
CD TEXT disc is also audio CD disc that have
text. In this option, you can select between
scrolling text display, static text display and
no text display.
RDS Text Display: This text display option is
for RDS FM station. you can select between
scrolling text display, static text display and
no text display.
Time Display Format : You can select 12 hour
AM/PM time or 24 hour time.

Setting the alarm
Setting the alarm
There are two independent alarms in this unit. (Alarm1
and Alarm 2) When you want to use the alarm function,
you should set the content of the alarm.
1) Press and hold the alarm button on the front panel or
the remote control, the unit will enter to alarm setting
session. (See Fig. 19) In alarm setting session, you
can set:
wakeup time adjustment
wakeup source selection
wakeup volume adjustment
2) Wakeup time adjustment
In alarm adjustment session, you can adjust the
wakeup time by pressing the time + button and
time - button on the front panel or pressing the
PREV and NEXT button on the remote control.
(See Fig. 20)
3) Wakeup source selection
You can select the wakeup source as follow:
Radio (FM1, FM2 and AM)
CD or USB(SD/MMC)
Press the BAND button to choose radio band then
press the PRESET button 1-8 to choose alarm
source station. Press the SOURCE button to choose
CD or USB as alarm source. (See Fig. 21)
Note: When you use the radio as wakeup source
, store radio station you wish to use in a preset
location. When you use the CD as the wakeup
source, place a disc in the CD slot. When you
use the USB as the wakeup source, insert USB
device or SD/MMC card into the slot.
4) Wakeup volume adjustment
In alarm adjustment session, you can adjust the
wakeup volume by tuning volume knob on the
front panel or pressing the volume button(+,-)
on the remote control. (See Fig. 22)
5) By pressing the alarm button again to end the
alarm adjustment session, the unit will store
your alarm new settings. (See Fig. 19)

ou can enable the alarm in anytime. Press the
LARM button (alarm 1 or alarm 2) repeatedly to
choose the desired alarm mode ---- music alarm,
tone alarm, alarm off. The alarm status indicator will
display on the front panel. (See Fig. 23)
Muting the alarm
When a alarm is sounding, press the ALARM button
or the POWER button to stop the alarm. The LCD
display will show alarm reset, and the alarm will still
enable at the same time the next day. In order to
confirm the alarm status, please make sure the
alarm indicator on the front panel. (See Fig. 24)
Snooze function
When a alarm is sounding, press the
SNOOZE/MUTE button on the front panel or the
remote control to silence the alarm for a period time.
When the unit is in snooze mode, the LCD will show
the remaining snooze time and counting down. The
alarm will sound again, when the snooze time is
terminated. The period time is set in JOG menu.

Mute function
ou can press the SNOOZE/MUTE button to mute
he unit. Press this button again to cancel the mute
status. If the volume is adjusted in mute status, the
mute is cancelled. (See Fig. 25)
Sleep function
When you listening to the music, the sleep function
turns off the unit automatically after a predetermined
sleep time. Press the SLEEP button on the front
panel or remote control to change the sleep time.

If you want to cancel the sleep function, press this
button repeatedly until sleep delay time is displayed
OFF.

RDS, standing for the Radio data service, adding a basic data and text service to FM radio.
Along with the audio, small amounts of text and data are transmitted with the radio signal, and can be
picked up and processed by radios have an RDS decode built-in. Such radio receivers can display
this information. RDS text may describe the station’s format or it may show the song title and artist.
RDS display mode
Press the PLAY/PAUSE button on the front panel or the DISPLAY button on remote control to select
available display mode of station name (PS), PTY, frequency, RDS clock time(CT). Default mode is PS
if available, otherwise frequency.
PTY search
Press the STOP button on the front panel or the PTY button on the remote control shortly to toggle the
PTY SEARCH mode ON/OFF, and to search the selected program type with display of “PTY
SEARCH ”. Default OFF. When PTY SEARCH mode is ON, and the selected type is match with the
current program type, the ‘PTY’ is shown. If no or a different PTY code is transmitted, the ‘PTY’ icon
blinks. When PTY SEARCH is taking action, press the PTY button can turn off the PTY SEARCH
mode.
Press and hold this button to toggle the PTY selection mode ON/OFF. When the PTY selection mode
is on, select PTY program type by volume knob on front panel. The selected program type name is
displayed 29 options feature (SPORT, INFO, VARIED, ROCK, POP, …..) are possible. Default NEWS.
If no button is pressed for 5 sec, the radio returns to normal mode again.
There are two text display in disc playback. One is text in CD TEXT disc, another is ID3 text in MP3 disc.
CD Text
CD Text is extra text information which can be encoded on Audio CDs.
existing audio CD standard that adds the ability to store text and graphical information like album titles, artist
names, and song titles on a music CD. This information is stored in such a way that it doesn't interfere with
the normal operation of any CD players. The unit can decode and display this text on LCD display. You can
choose the displaying style in JOG menu.
ID3 Text Information in MP3 song
You can add ID3 text information into a MP3 file. This unit can display the song title, artist and album when
playback a MP3 file. You can choose the displaying style in JOG menu.
CD Text is a extension of the

USB (SD/MMC) Operation
USB (SD /MMC) MODE
This unit can play mp3 files stored on USB device (like Pen
Drive) and SD/MMC card. You can copy mp3 files to USB
device or SD/MMC card from PC then playback mp3 file
on this unit.
Insert USB device or SD/MMC card into slot, then
press the SOURCE button to select USB (SD/MMC)
mode. (see Fig. 27 and 28)
When the unit read the mp3 files, it will start play
automatically.
When the MP3 files contains ID3 text information
in your plug-in USB device and SD / MMC card, the
ID3 text will show on the LCD display. If the mp3 file
haven’t ID3 text information, it will show file name on
the LCD display. Please make sure the option of disc
text isn’t “NO TEXT” in JOG menu.
Press the PLA/PAUSE button to toggle play and pause
operation.
Press the STOP button to stop operation.
Press the NEXT/PREV button to jump to next and
previous file.
Press the PRESET 2 button to switch USB device and
SD/MMC card for playback.
If you want to use other USB (SD/ MMC) card,
please pull out the USB device or SD/MMC card then
insert other USB (SD /MMC) card directly. (see Fig 29)
Note: The unit only recognizes the MP3 file format.
