GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION
1. Read all instructions before using Heater.
2. Use this Heater only as described in this manual. Any other
use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire,
electrical shock, or injury to persons.
3. Make certain that the power source conforms to the electrical
requirements of the Heater.
4. Extreme caution is necessary when any Heater is used by or
near children or invalids and whenever the Heater is left
operating unattended.
5. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than
the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is
intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does
not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat
this safety feature.
6. Where possible, avoid the use of extension cords because the
extension cord may overheat and cause a risk of fire. If they
must be used, minimize the risk of overheating by ensuring that
they are UL listed, a minimum No. 14 AWG, rated not less than
1875 watts. Ne v er use a single e xtension cord to oper ate more
than one Heater.
7. Do not operate any Heater with a damaged cord or plug or after
the Heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any
manner. Return Heater to authorized service facility for
examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment or repair.
8. Unplug power cord before servicing or moving the Heater . Alw ays
unplug Heater when not in use.
WARNING: DO NOT DEPEND ON THE ON/OFF SWITCH
AS THE SOLE MEANS OF DISCONNECTING POWER WHEN
SERVICING OR MOVING THE HEATER. ALWAYS UNPLUG
THE POWER CORD.
9. Do not insert or allow fingers or foreign objects to enter any
ventilation or exhaust opening as it ma y cause an electric shock
or fire, or damage the Heater. Do not block or tamper with the
Heater in any manner while it is in operation.

10.To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in
any manner. Do not place on soft surfaces, like a bed, where
openings may become blocked.
11.Always place the Heater on a stable, flat, level surface when
operating, to avoid the chance of the Heater ov erturning. Locate
the Power Cord so the Heater or other objects are not resting on
it. Do not run P o wer Cord under carpeting. Do not cov er Power
Cord with throw rugs, runners, or the like. Arrange Power Cord
away from room traffic and where it will not be tripped over.
12. This Heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare
skin touch hot surfaces. Always use handle when moving this
Heater. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows,
bedding, papers, clothes and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m)
from the front of the Heater and keep them at least 1 foot (0.3 m)
from the sides and rear.
13.A Heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. It must
NOT be used in potentially dangerous locations such as
flammable, explosiv e, chemical-laden or wet atmospheres. This
Heater is intended for general use ONLY.
14. This Heater is not intended for use in wet or damp locations.
Never locate a Heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other
water container.
15. Do not use Heater outdoors.
16. This Heater includes an audible alarm to war n that parts of the
Heater are getting excessively hot. If the alarm sounds,
immediately turn the Heater off and inspect for any objects on or
adjacent to the Heater that may cause high temperatures. DO
NOT OPERATE THE HEATER WITH THE ALARM SOUNDING.

OPERATION
The Heater may be operated by the manual controls located on
the Heater (as shown in

1. Carefully remove the Heater from the bag and the carton.
2. Place the Heater on a firm, level surface.
3. Plug the cord set into a 120 V~ electrical outlet. When the Heater
is initially plugged in, the red light will come on indicating that there
is power to the unit. The red light will remain lit until the Heater is
unplugged from the electrical outlet.
4. Turn the Heater ON by pressing the Power Button (
5. The unit will display the current Room temperature.
6. Upon turning the Heater on, the unit will be in the High heat
mode. (1500 Watts)
7. Pressing the Mode Button at this point will set the Heater into
Low heat mode. (900 Watts)
8. Pressing the Mode Button once more will set the Heater into
Auto mode. Notice that the display now displays a Set tem-
perature indicator. (See Thermostat Instructions)
9.To turn the Heater OFF, press the Power Button (
OSCILLATION FUNCTION: This function will work in any mode.
Pressing the Oscillate Button will allow the Heater to oscillate
back and forth. To stop the oscillation, press the Oscillate Button
once more.
TIMER FUNCTION: This function will work in any mode. The timer
function allows you to set the length of operation from 1 hour to 8
hours. Pressing the Timer Button will increase the length of
operation by 1 hour each time the button is pressed. Once the
timer has been set, the timer will count down the hours in 1 hour
increments, showing on the display the remaining operating time ,
until the Heater will turn itself off. Pressing the Timer Button
once more after the display reflects 8 hours will reset the Heater
to continuously running.

1. Install the two “AAA” batteries supplied as shown in

3. All the functions performed with the Remote Control work identically to the Manual Controls.

SAFETY FEATURES
1.This Heater includes an audible alarm to warn that parts of the
Heater are getting excessively hot. If the alarm sounds,
immediately turn the Heater off and inspect for any objects on or
adjacent to the Heater that may cause high temperatures.
DO NOT OPERATE THE HEATER WITH THE
ALARM SOUNDING.
2. A thermal overload protector is built in to prevent overheating.
3. When an overheat temperature is reached, the Heater will be
automatically shut off. It can only resume operation when the
user resets the unit. (See reset instructions below)
To Reset Heater:
1. Unplug the Heater and wait 10 minutes for the unit to cool do wn.
2. After the 10 minutes, plug the unit in again and operate normally.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING: AL W A YS UNPLUG THE CORD BEFORE MOVING OR
SERVICING.
WARNING: DO NOT IMMERSE HEATER IN WATER!
CLEANING: IMPORTANT! DO NOT IMMERSE HEATER IN WA-
TER! Clean the Heater grill with the vacuum brush attachment
on your vacuum cleaner. This will remove lint and dirt from the
inside of the Heater. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TAKE APART
HEATER. DO NOT REMOVE GRILL. Clean the body of the
Heater with a soft cloth.
CAUTION: Do not use gasoline, benzine, thinner, harsh
cleaners, etc. as they will damage the Heater. NEVER use
ALCOHOL OR SOLVENTS.

THERMOSTAT INSTRUCTIONS
1. Press the Mode Button until the display shows AUTO.
2. T o adjust SET temperature, press the (+) to increase the desired
temperature and the (-) to decrease the desired
temperature.
3. When the air temperature reaches 3 degrees above the SET temperature, the heater will cut off.
4. When the air temperature drops 1 degree
perature, the unit will come back on.
Note: It is normal for the Heater to cycle ON and OFF as it maintains the SET temperature.

FUNCIONAMIENTO
Puede operar el Calefactor usando los controles manuales del propio
aparato (como lo ilustra la
Figura 3

1. Con cuidado, saque el Calefactor de la caja y la bolsa.
2. Coloque el Calefactor en una superficie firme y plana.
3. Enchufe el cable a un tomacorriente de 120 V~. Al enchufar el
Calefactor se encenderá la luz roja, indicándole que el aparato
está recibiendo energía eléctrica. La luz roja permanecerá
encendida hasta que desenchufe el calefactor.
4. Presione el botón De Encendido/Apagado (
el Calefactor.
5. El aparato mostrará la temperatura de la Habitación en ese
momento.
6. Una vez encendido, el Calefactor estará en la modalidad de
calefacción Alta. (1500 watts)
7. En este punto, presione el Botón De Modalidad (Mode) si desea
llevar el Calef actor a la modalidad de calefacción Baja. (900 watts)
8. Si presiona el Botón De Modalidad (Mode) otra vez, llevará el
Calefactor a la modalidad de calefacción Automática (Auto). V erá
que el aparato ahora muestra un indicador de temperatura Fija
(Set) en el que se . (Revise las instrucciones para el termostato)
9. Presione el botón De Encendido/Apagado (
el Calefactor.
OSCILACIÓN: Esta función puede operar en cualquier modalidad.
Presione el Botón De Oscilación para que el calefactor fluctúe. P ara
detener esta función, presione otra vez el Botón De Oscilación .
TEMPORIZADOR: Esta función puede operar en cualquier
modalidad y le permite establecer la duración de encendido desde
1 hasta 8 horas. Presione el Botón Del T emporizador para aumentar
la duración de encendido una hora cada vez que apriete este botón.
Una vez ajustado, el temporizador calculará las horas en una cuenta
regresiva por hora, mostrando el tiempo restante de encendido hasta
que el calefactor se apague solo. Para desactivar esta función,
presione el Botón Del T emporizador otra vez cuando en el indicador
se lean 8 horas.

INSTRUCCIONES PARA EL TERMOSTATO

1. Presione el Botón De Modalidad hasta que en el indicador se
lea AUTO.
2. Para ajustar la temperatura Fija (SET), presione (+) par a aumentar
la temperatura deseada y (-) para reducir la temperatura deseada.

3. Cuando la temperatura ambiente llegue a estar 3 gr ados por arriba
de la temperatura Fija (SET), el calefactor se apagará.
4. Cuando la temperatura ambiente llegue a estar 1 grado
de la temperatura Fija (SET), el aparato volverá a encenderse.
Nota: Es normal que el calefactor varíe de encendido a apagado
mientras mantiene la temperatura Fija (SET).

CONTROL REMOTO
1. Coloque las dos baterías “AAA” incluidas como se muestra en

CARACTERÍSTICAS DE SEGURIDAD
1. Este Calefactor incluye una alarma audible que advierte respecto
del sobrecalentamiento de ciertas partes del Calef actor . Si suena
la alarma, apague inmediatamente el Calefactor e inspecciónelo
por si hubieran objetos encima de éste o adyacentes al mismo
que pudieran estar ocasionando el exceso de temperatura.
NO HAGA FUNCIONAR EL CALEFACTOR
MIENTRAS LA ALARMA ESTÉ SONANDO.
2. El aparato contiene un protector de sobrecarga térmica para evitar
el sobrecalentamiento.
3. En caso de que se alcance una temperatura de
sobrecalentamiento, el calefactor se apagará automáticamente.
La única forma de que vuelva a encenderse requiere de que el
usuario reinicie su funcionamiento. (Revise las instrucciones para
reiniciar el funcionamiento que se indican a continuación)
Para reiniciar el funcionamiento del Calefactor:
1. Desenchufe el Calef actor y espere de 10 minutos para dejar que
se enfríe.
2. Pasados entre 10 minutos , vuelva a enchuf ar el aparato y hágalo
funcionar normalmente.
MANTENIMIENTO
ADVERTENCIA: ASEGÚRESE DE SIEMPRE DESENCHUFAR
EL CABLE ANTES DE MOVER O DAR SERVICIO AL APARATO.
ADVERTENCIA:¡NO SUMERJA EL CALEFACTOR EN AGUA!
LIMPIEZA: ¡IMPORTANTE! ¡NO SUMERJA EL CALEFACTOR EN
AGUA! Limpie la rejilla del Calefactor con el aditamento con cepillo
de su aspiradora. Así limpiará la pelusa y la suciedad del interior
del Calefactor . NO TRATE DE DESARMAR EL CALEFACTOR. NO
DESMONTE LA REJILLA. Limpie el exterior del Calefactor con un
paño suave.
PRECAUCIÓN: No use gasolina, bencina, disolvente o tíner,
limpiadores corrosivos, etc., y a que pueden dañar el Calefactor .
NUNCA use ALCOHOL NI SOLVENTES.
SERVICIO: A excepción del mantenimiento general por parte
del usuario, todas las necesidades de servicio deben ser
cubiertas por un representante autorizado. Marque 1-800-2330268, de lunes a viernes, de 8:00a.m. a 5:00p.m. EST para
solicitar los datos de ubicación del centro de servicio más
cercano a su domicilio.
ALMACENAMIENTO: Guarde el Calefactor con este instructivo

INFORMACIÓN GENERAL DE SEGURIDAD
1. Lea todas las instrucciones antes de usar el Calefactor.
2. Utilice este Calefactor únicamente de la manera descrita en este
manual. Cualquier otro uso no recomendado por el fabricante podría
ocasionar un incendio, un choque eléctrico o lesiones personales.
3. Asegúrese de que la fuente de alimentación cumpla con los
requerimientos eléctricos del Calefactor.
4. Se debe tener sumo cuidado cuando un Calefactor sea usado
por o cerca de niños o personas minusválidas, y cuando el
Calefactor funcione desatendido.
5. Este aparato tiene la clavija polarizada (un diente es más ancho que
el otro). Esta clavija está diseñada para ser insertada en un
tomacorriente polar de una sola forma a fin de reducir el riesgo de
choque eléctrico. Si la clavija no encaja totalmente en el tomacorriente,
dele vuelta. Si aun así no encaja, consulte a un técnico electricista. No
trate de modificar estas características de seguridad.
6. Evite el uso de extensiones siempre que sea posible, ya que pueden
sobrecalentarse y presentar un riesgo de incendio. Si es necesario
usarlas, reduzca al mínimo el riesgo de sobrecalentamiento
asegurándose de que estén certificadas por UL, que sean de calibre
14 AWG como mínimo y que tengan una capacidad nominal de por
lo menos 1875 watts. Nunca use una sola e xtensión para conectar
más de un Calefactor.
7. No use ningún Calefactor que tenga el cable o la clavija dañados ni después
de que el Calefactor haya presentado a verías, se ha ya caído o hay a sido
dañado de cualquier manera. Lle v e el Calef actor a un centro de servicio
autorizado para su revisión, ajuste eléctrico/mecánico o reparación.
8. Desenchufe el cable antes de trasladar o dar servicio al Calefactor.
Siempre desenchufe el Calefactor cuando no esté en uso.
ADVERTENCIA: NO CONFÍE ÚNICAMENTE EN EL
INTERRUPTOR DE ENCENDIDO/APAGADO P ARA DESCONECT AR
LA ENERGÍA AL TRASLAD AR O DAR SER VICIO AL CALEF A CTOR.
SIEMPRE DESENCHUFE EL CABLE.
8. No inser te ni permita la introducción de los dedos o de objetos
extraños en cualquier abertura de ventilación o escape ya podría
ocasionar un choque eléctrico o un incendio, o dañar el Calefactor .
No obstruya ni intervenga en el funcionamiento del Calefactor de
ninguna manera mientras esté encendido.
10. No obstruya las entradas y salidas de aire de ninguna manera par a
evitar la posibilidad de que ocurra un incendio. No coloque el aparato
sobre superficies suaves, como una cama, en donde las aberturas
pudieran quedar obstruidas.
11.Siempre coloque el Calefactor sobre una superficie plana, nivelada
y estable durante el uso para evitar que se vuelque. Acomode el
cable de tal manera que ni el Calefactor ni ningún otro objeto le pasen
por encima. No pase el cab le por debajo de la alf ombra. No cubra el
cable con ninguna alfombrilla, tapete, ni cosa parecida. Coloque el
cable lejos de las zonas de may or movimiento dentro de la habitación
y donde nadie pueda tropezarse.
12.Este Calefactor se calienta cuando está en uso. No permita que la

Calefactor. Mantenga los mater iales combustibles, tales como
muebles, almohadas, ropa de cama, papeles, ropa y cortinas, por
lo menos a 3 pies (0.9 m) de distancia de la parte delantera del
Calefactor y al menos 1 pie (0.3 m) de distancia de los costados y
de la parte posterior.
13.Los calefactores contienen piezas calientes que generan arcos
voltaicos o chispas. NO deben usarse en lugares potencialmente
peligrosos, tales como atmósferas inflamables , explosivas , húmedas
o que contengan productos químicos. Este Calef actor está diseñado
para uso general ÚNICAMENTE.
14.Este Calefactor no debe usarse en lugares mojados ni húmedos.
Nunca coloque el Calefactor en un lugar donde exista el riesgo de
que se caiga al interior de una tina u otro recipiente con agua.
15. No utilice el Calefactor a la intemperie.
16 Este Calefactor incluye una alarma audible que advierte respecto
del sobrecalentamiento de ciertas partes del Calef actor. Si suena la
alarma, apague inmediatamente el Calefactor e inspecciónelo por si
hubieran objetos encima de éste o adyacentes al mismo que pudieran
estar ocasionando el exceso de temperatura. NO HAGA
FUNCIONAR EL CALEFACTOR MIENTRAS LA ALARMA ESTÉ
SONANDO.
ADVERTENCIA: REDUZCA EL RIESGO DE INCENDIOS O
CHOQUES ELÉCTRICOS – NO USE ESTE CALEFACTOR CON
NINGÚN DISPOSITIVO DE ESTADO SÓLIDO PARA CONTROL
DE VELOCIDAD.
