GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION
When using electrical appliances,
basic precautions should always be followed
to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury to person,
including the following:
1. Read all instructions before using Heater.
2. Use this Heater only as described in this manual. An y
other use not recommended by the manufacturer ma y
cause fire, electrical shock, or injury to persons.
3. Make certain that the power source conforms to the
electrical requirements of the Heater.
4. Extreme caution is necessary when any Heater
is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the Heater is left operating unattended.
5. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electr ic
shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet
only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a
qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this
safety feature.
6. Plug Heater directly in to a 120V~ electrical wall outlet, DO NOT plug Heater into any other cord connected devices, such as a power strip or surge protector. Where possible, avoid the use of extension
cords because the extension cord may o verheat and
cause a risk of fire. If they must be used, minimize
the risk of overheating by ensuring that they are UL
listed, a minimum No. 14 AWG, rated not less than
1875 watts. Never use a single extension cord to
operate more than one Heater.
7. Do not operate any Heater with a damaged cord or
plug or after the Heater malfunctions, has been dropped
or damaged in any manner. Retur n Heater to authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment or repair.
8. Unplug power cord before servicing or moving the
Heater. Always unplug Heater when not in use.
WARNING: DO NOT DEPEND ON THE POWER
SWITCH AS THE SOLE MEANS OF DISCONNECTING POWER WHEN SERVICING OR MOVING THE
HEATER. ALWAYS UNPLUG THE POWER CORD.
9. Do not insert or allow fingers or foreign objects to
enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as it may
cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the Heater .
Do not block or tamper with the Heater in any manner while it is in operation.
10.To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or
exhaust in any manner . Do not place on soft surfaces ,
like a bed, where openings may become b locked.
11.Always place the Heater on a stable, flat, level surface when operating, to avoid the chance of the
Heater overturning. Locate the Power Cord so the
Heater or other objects are not resting on it. Do not
run Power Cord under carpeting. Do not cover P ow er
Cord with throw rugs, runners, or the like. Arrange
Power Cord awa y from room traffic and where it will
not be tripped over.
12. This Heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do
not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Always use
handle when moving this Heater. Keep combustible
materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers,
clothes and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the
front of the Heater and keep them at least 1 foot (0.3
m) from the sides and rear.
13.A Heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside.
It must NOT be used in potentially dangerous locations such as flammable, explosive, chemical-laden
or wet atmospheres. This Heater is intended for general use ONLY.
14.This Heater is not intended for use in wet or damp
locations. Never locate a Heater where it may fall
into a bathtub or other water container.
15.Do not use Heater outdoors.

OPERATION
1. Carefully remov e the Heater from the plastic bag and the carton.
2. Place the Heater on a firm and level surface.
(Figure 1)
WARNING: Plastic or rubber tabs, like the feet on this unit, may
stick to furniture surfaces. The unit may leave a residue that could
darken, stain or leave permanent blemishes on the finish of certain
furniture surfaces, including wood surfaces.
3. Mak e sure that the Heater is in the “OFF” position (0) bef ore plugging the Heater into the outlet.
4. Plug the cord set into a 120V electrical outlet. Be sure plug fits
tightly in outlet. A loose fit will cause o verheating and damage the
plug. Plug and cord set may feel warm during normal usage.

SAFETY FEATURE
1. A thermal overload protector is built in to prevent overheating.
2. When an overheat temperature is reached, the Heater will automatically shut off. It can only resume operation when the unit is
reset. (See reset instructions below).
To Reset Heater:
1. Unplug the Heater and wait 10 minutes for the unit to cool down.
2. After the 10 minutes, plug the Heater in again and follow the
Operating Instructions described in this instruction manual.
TROUBLE SHOOTING TIPS
If your heater shuts off unexpectedly or fails to operate, the
above-mentioned safety feature may have been activated to
prevent overheating.
1. Be sure the power cord is plugged into a working electrical outlet.
2. Check your Thermostat setting. The Heater may be off because
it has reached the desired temperature setting.
If you have a problem that can not be resolved by the steps listed
above, contact Technical Assistance at 1-800-233-0268, Monday
through Friday, between the hours of 8am and 5pm EST.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING: ALW A YS UNPLUG THE CORD BEFORE MO VING OR
SERVICING.
WARNING: DO NOT IMMERSE HEATER IN WATER.
CLEANING: IMPORTANT! Clean the Heater grill with the
vacuum brush attachment of your vacuum cleaner. This will remove lint and dirt from the inside of the Heater. Clean the body
of the Heater with a soft cloth.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TAKE APART THE HEATER.

THERMOSTAT OPERATION
1. Before setting the thermostat, allow Heater to operate and warm
up the room. Set
to start the Heater.
2. When the desired temperature comf ort level is reached, lo wer
the thermostat setting until the Fan/Heater stops operating.

CAUTION: Do not use gasoline, benzine, thinner , harsh clean-
ers, etc., as they will damage the Heater. NEVER use ALCOHOL OR SOLVENTS.
SERVICING: All other ser vicing, with the exception of general
user-maintenance, should be performed by an authorized service representative. Call 1-800-233-0268, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8am and 5pm EST for the location of
your nearest service center.
STORAGE: Store the Heater with these instructions in the original
carton in a cool, dry place.

FUNCIÓN DE SEGURIDAD
1. Se incorpora un protector para sobrecargas térmicas a fin de
impedir el sobrecalentamiento.
2. Cuando se alcanza una temperatura de sobrecalentamiento, el
Calefactor se apaga automáticamente. Sólo podrá reanudar su
funcionamiento una vez que se reinicie la unidad. (Véase las
instrucciones de reinicio más abajo).
Para Reiniciar el Calefactor:
1. Desenchufe el Calefactor y espere 10 minutos para que la unidad
se enfríe.
2. Después de 10 minutos , enchufe el Calefactor n uevamente y siga
las Instrucciones de Funcionamiento que se describe en este
manual de instrucciones.
CONSEJOS PARA IDENTIFICAR
PROBLEMAS
Si su calefactor se apaga inesperadamente o no funciona, es
probable que la función de seguridad descrita anteriormente se haya
activado para impedir el sobrecalentamiento.
1. Cerciórese de que el cable eléctrico esté enchufado en un
tomacorriente en buen estado.
2. Revise su posición del Ter mostato. El Calefactor podría estar
apagado porque alcanzó la temperatura deseada.
Si tiene algún problema que no pueda resolverse con los pasos
indicados más arriba, contacte a Asistencia Técnica al 1-800-2330268, de lunes a viernes, entre las 8 a.m. y las 5 p.m. (Horario

MANTENIMIENTO

LIMPIEZA: ¡IMPORTANTE! Limpie la parrilla del Calefactor con
un aditamento de cepillo en su aspiradora. Esto eliminar á la suciedad
y el polvo que se pueden acumular al interior del Calefactor. Limpie
el cuerpo del calefactor con un paño suave.
NO INTENTE DESARMAR EL CALEFACTOR.
ADVERTENCIA: No use gasolina, bencina, acetona,
limpiadores abrasivos, etc., puesto que eso dañará el Calefactor ,
NUNCA use ALCOHOL o SOLVENTES.

INFORMACIÓN GENERAL DE SEGURIDAD
Al usar aparatos eléctricos, las precauciones básicas de seguridad
deberan siempre de seguirse para reducir el riesgo de incendio, choque
eléctrico, y daño a personas, incluyenda las siguientes.

2. Utilice este Calefactor únicamente de la manera descrita en
este manual. Cualquier otro uso no recomendado por el
fabricante podría ocasionar un incendio, un choque eléctrico o
lesiones personales.
3. Asegúrese de que la fuente de alimentación cumpla con los
requerimientos eléctricos del Calefactor.
4. Se debe tener sumo cuidado cuando un Calefactor sea usado
por o cerca de niños o personas minusválidas, y cuando el
Calefactor funcione desatendido.
5. Este aparato tiene la clavija polarizada (un diente es más ancho
que el otro). Esta cla vija está diseñada para ser insertada en un
tomacorriente polar de una sola forma a fin de reducir el riesgo
de choque eléctrico. Si la clavija no encaja totalmente en el
tomacorriente, dele vuelta. Si aun así no encaja, consulte a un
técnico electricista. No trate de modificar estas características
de seguridad.
6. Enchufe el Calefactor directamente a un tomacorriente de pared
de 120V~, NO enchufe el Calefactor a ningún otro dispositivo
conectado mediante cables eléctricos, tales como extensiones
múltiples o reguladores de voltaje. De ser posible , evite el uso de
extensiones eléctricas porque éstas podrían recalentarse y
provocar riesgo de incendio. Si debieren usarse, minimice el
riesgo de sobrecalentamiento procurando que estén autorizados
por UL, con un calibre mínimo N°14 AWG, para no menos de
1875 vatios. Nunca use una extensión eléctrica para hacer
funcionar más de un Calefactor .
7. No use ningún Calefactor que tenga el cable o la clavija dañados
ni después de que el Calefactor hay a presentado averías, se ha ya
caído o haya sido dañado de cualquier manera. Llev e el Calefactor
a un centro de servicio autorizado para su revisión, ajuste eléctrico/
mecánico o reparación.
8. Desenchufe el cable antes de trasladar o dar servicio al Calefactor.
Siempre desenchufe el Calefactor cuando no esté en uso .
ADVERTENCIA: NO CONFÍE ÚNICAMENTE EN EL

9. No inserte ni permita la introducción de los dedos o de objetos
extraños en cualquier abertura de ventilación o escape ya podría
ocasionar un choque eléctrico o un incendio, o dañar el Calefactor .
No obstruya ni intervenga en el funcionamiento del Calefactor
de ninguna manera mientras esté encendido.
10.No obstruya las entradas y salidas de aire de ninguna manera
para evitar la posibilidad de que ocurra un incendio. No coloque
el aparato sobre superficies suaves, como una cama, en donde
las aberturas pudieran quedar obstruidas.
11.Siempre coloque el Calefactor sobre una superficie plana,
nivelada y estable durante el uso para e vitar que se vuelque .
Acomode el cable de tal manera que ni el Calefactor ni ningún
otro objeto le pasen por encima. No pase el cab le por debajo
de la alfombra. No cubra el cable con ninguna alfombrilla,
tapete, ni cosa parecida. Coloque el cable lejos de las zonas
de mayor movimiento dentro de la habitación y donde nadie
pueda tropezarse.
12.Este Calefactor se calienta cuando está en uso. No permita que la
piel desnuda entre en contacto con las superficies calientes para
evitar quemaduras. Siempre use la manija para trasladar este
Calefactor. Mantenga los materiales combustibles, tales como
muebles, almohadas, ropa de cama, papeles, ropa y cortinas, por
lo menos a 3 pies (0.9 m) de distancia de la parte delantera del
Calefactor y al menos 1 pie (0.3 m) de distancia de los costados y
de la parte posterior.
13.Los calefactores contienen piezas calientes que generan arcos
voltaicos o chispas. NO deben usarse en lugares potencialmente
peligrosos, tales como atmósferas inflamables, explosivas,
húmedas o que contengan productos químicos. Este Calefactor
