NOTE: If you have connected the DVD-HD008 to a Home Theatre System using the Coaxial Digital Audio cable you may need to also connect the RCA Stereo Connection to your TV To allow Audio to be heard through the TV when it is not convenient to have the Home Theatre System turned on.

CO N N E CT I N G T H E P LAYE R
HDMI can t ransmit bot h audio and vi deo signal s over a si ngl e cabl e. If you have an HDMI capabl e r eceiver t hat can support HDMI audio, you can si mpl y r un an HDMI cabl e from the player t o your receiver and enable HDMI audio on the r eceiver (see your receiver’s owners’ manual f or more information). The receiver usually has an HDMI out put t hat you can connect t o your TV t o pass the vi deo signal .
HDMI i s a wonder ful t hing. A singl e cabl e can t ranspor t bot h audi o AND video f rom your player to your display. Be aware, however, t hat HDMI is an evolving standard, and there could be compatibilit y issues. A receiver that supports audio input over HDMI i s r equ ir ed.

In order to play multi-chan nel au di o for al l for mat s, t he receiver must suppor t HDMI v1.1 or later. A receiver that supports HDMI v1.3 with decoding capability for Dolby Tr u eHD an d DTS-HD M ast er Audio i s pref erred. Please check t he specif icat ions of your receiver to ensure that it meets the requirement s.
Due t o bandwidth limitations, high resolution audio formats such as Dolby Digital Pl u s, Do l b y Tr u eH D, D TS-HD Hi gh Resolut ion and DTS-HD Mast er Audi o cannot be sent t h rou gh t he co axi al di gi t al audi o out put . A r edu ced r esol ut i on ver si on of t he same audi o t r ack w ill be output instead. To listen to high resolution audio formats in their best quality, please use the HDMI connection if you have a receiver that handles HDMI audio.
Due t o copyri ght rest rict i ons and bandw idt h li mi tat i ons, f ull r esol ut i on audio f rom DVD Audi o discs cannot be sent t hrough t he coaxial or opt ical digi t al audio out put . To l isten t o DVD-Audio i n f ull resolution, please use the HDMI or analogue audio connections.
