Do not use this device in electrical storms or other conditions if the likely hood of
lightning is possible.
Do not attempt to clean this product using liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use only a damp soft cloth to clean the surface of this device.
Extreme Care should be taken when using this product near any body of water such swimming pools, kitchen sinks, baths and alike.
This device is not waterproof. Do not use this device in the open if there is a high level of moisture in the air.
Only place the device on a stable surface and ensure that cables attached to the device can not cause the device to fall.
There are no serviceable parts in this device. Attempts to open this device by unauthorised personnel may cause further dame and void the warranty.
Image quality during web chat may vary depending in internet connection speeds at both ends.

While this product can use rechargeable batteries. They cannot be charged in the device.

Getting Started
Prior to using the AO-DIGICAM08 you will need to fit 2 X AAA battery (Not supplied) in to the compartment on the underside of the camera.
Please ensure that the compartment lid is secured correctly.
The AO-DIGICAM08 can be connected and be used by the PC with batteries being fitted.
Warning: The AO-DIGICAM08 memory is erased when not connected to a USB power or the batteries are removed. Please download all picture or videos stored on the camera to the PC before opening the battery compartment.
Tip: The Batteries can be changed by connecting the AO-DIGICAM08 to a powered USB port or USB charger before opening the battery compartment. Leave the USB cable connected until new batteries are fitted and the compartment is secured.
Taking Photos
1. Press the Power Button to start the camera.
2. Check the number of remaining shots and current resolution on the main display (as per right)*.
*Please see further for more details
3. Change the capture mode if required.
4. Look through the viewfinder on the rear of the camera and place the subject in the centre of the viewfinder.
5. Hold the camera steady and press the Shutter button. A beep will sound when the picture has been taken.
6. The LCD will show 0 when no more pictures can be taken.
7. Press and Hold the Power Button until a beep is heard. Release the button and the camera will turn off.
8. In Hi resolution it may take up to 2 seconds before the next shot can be taken.
Tip: for best results stand between the available light source and the subject where possible. The quality of the light will affect the quality of the picture.

Camera Functions
Change the functions of the camera by press Function button and cycle through the available options.
When the required option is displayed, press the shutter button to confirm or start.
Power OFF
1. Press the shutter button within 5 seconds to turn the camera off.
Auto Shoot Mode
1. Press the Function button until is displayed on the LCD.
2. Press the Shutter button with in 5 second to start the 10 second timer.
3. The camera will beep every second until the image is taken.
Continuous Shoot (AVI MODE)
1. Press the Function button until is displayed on the LCD.
2. Press and hold the shutter button within 5 seconds to activate the continuous shooting feature.
3. The camera will beep for each photo taken until the shutter button is released or the memory is full.
4. Photos are taken in QVGA mode
Warning: Continuous shooting may fail in poor lighting conditions
3 Shot Continuous
1. Press the Function button until is displayed on the LCD.
2. Press the Shutter Button within 5 seconds to take 3 continuous shots.

Delete All Photos
1. Press the Function button until is displayed on the LCD.
2. Press the Shutter Button and the Photo counter will flash.
3. Press the Shutter Button again within 5 seconds to delete all photos stores on the camera.
Delete Last Photo Taken
1. Press the Function button until is displayed on the LCD.
2. Press the Shutter Button within 5 seconds to delete the last picture taken.
Warnings: Pictures deleted from the camera cannot be recovered. Please use extreme care when using the Delete All or Delete Last functions.
Current Resolution
Shown on the main display next to the remaining picture count, this icon shows whether the camera is in Low or Hi resolution.

Picture Compression Mode
This setting is for the compression setting used to process and store the image on the camera.
HD: High compression, smaller file size but lower picture quality.
LD: Low compression, Lager file size but better picture quality.

*Note: The amount of images remaining is an estimate only and is recalculated after each shot. Amounts may vary dependant on the amount of light and detail in each shot.

Indoor Light Setting
If the camera is using indoors the frequency of the camera should be set to match that of power system used in your area.
1. Press the Function button until or is displayed on the LCD.
2. This is the current frequency setting of the camera.
3. To change the frequency, press the Shutter Button within 5 seconds.
Note: Generally Australia, New Zealand and Europe use 50Hz lighting while the US uses 60Hz lighting.
Connecting the Camera to a PC
Device drivers and the software must be installed before you can connect the AO­DIGICAM08 to your PC.
Please place the supplied CD in the optical drive on your computer.
If the CD does not automatically start please locate the drive in your computer window and launch the Autrun.exe file found on the CD.
Click on the Install Drivers button and follow the menus.
The computer will need to be restarted to complete the installation process.
Once restarted connect the Digicam to the Computer using the PC using the supplied USB cable.
Click on the Install software button to install the included Photo and Video Software
PhotoImpressions: picture editing software
VideoImpressions: Video editing software.
Please refer to the software or the ArcSoft website for instruction of use.

To save the images from the camera to you PC:
1. Open the MyDSC2 folder in the Start menu and launch the MyDSC2 program.
2. Click the Update Icon (4) to refresh the main Preview.

3. Click on the Save Pictures Icon (6) and select the option to save individual images or all the images on the camera to a location on your hard drive.
4. Please wait until the status bar is finished before disconnecting the Camera.

To Use The Webcam Feature:
1. Open the MyDSC2 folder in the Start menu and launch the PCCam program.

2. If another webcam is connected to the PC please select the DualCamer listed in the Devices menu (2)

Trouble Shooting
