The Tool Connection recommend the use of OEM instructions.
These instructions are given for guidance only.
Designed to effectively lock the clutch drum to the hub, effectively
locking the transmission, allowing the removal of the drum and hub
fixings.
This tool will fit standard and non standard clutch kits.
Kit Contents:
a) Locking plate
b) Locking bolt
5340 | Instructions For Use
1. Remove the clutch cover.
2. Remove the clutch pressure plate and springs, if re-fitting these
components ensure they go back in the same order.
3. Fit the locking ring as shown so that the inner teeth lock on the
clutch hub and the outer teeth lock into the clutch drum.
4. Turn the tool as shown to align the tag hole with the bolt hole in
the engine casing and fix the unit in this position.

5. Now the clutch drum can be removed, followed by the clutch hub
fixings.

Any Ducati fitted with a 6 speed transmission and a dry clutch.

Warning: In order to undo the centre fixing bolts of the clutch the
motorcycle must be placed in gear and the rear wheel locked to
ensure the high torque involved does not damage the locking plate.
