Please read these instructions before using your new Remote Control Spotlight from Larson Electronics.

The GL-4600 is a 1-Speed Searchlight with
Directional Flexibility which gives the operator a full
360° horizontal rotation and a 180° vertical tilt with
fingertip control. T he GL-4600 prov ides superior light
penetration with the new LED/PVEX lens technology.

MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
Light Unit/Permanent Mount
Determine the locati on for the l ight o n your vehicl e or
boat. Remove the mounting plate from the light.
Center the mounting plate. Mark the hole locations
for the four mounting scr ews and drill a pilot hole for
each with 1/8 inch bit. Fasten the stainless steel
mounting plate with the 3 #10 – 16x3/4 type AB
cross recessed pan head tapping screws. Drill a 1
1/4” hole in the center of the m ounting plate opening
to accommodate the wiring harness and connector.
Attach the connector tha t is affixed to the underside
of the light to the corresponding connector on the
wiring harness. Position the connection point
beneath the mounting surface, and apply silicone
sealant around wire to sea l the dr illed o pening . Place
the light over the mounting plate. Install the set
screws (provided) and tighten.
Light Unit/Magnetic Mount
Select the best location on your vehicle for the
magnetic mount Stryker. Make sure the metal area
under the magnetic bas e is flat and clean to ensure a
strong bond. Route the power cord into the vehicle
through a door frame and connect to power outlet.
The magnetic mount GL-4600-M should be removed
from vehicle’s exterior while traveling at excessive
speeds and in strong wind conditions.
Dash Control/Permanent Mount
Determine the appropriate location for the dash
mount control and create an opening to
accommodate the board on the rear of the remote.
Affix the control to the dash with four screws. The
words should be facing upright and should be
situated accordingl y. All wiring should be under taken
with power removed from the system. First, attach
the connector that is affixed to the control to the
corresponding connector on the wiring harness.
Next, join the leads at the remote to 23-32V DC
power with appropriate autom otive wire attachm ents;
the wire with ( +) is the positiv e lead an d the opposite
black wire is the negative lead--the unit is polarity
sensitive and care m ust be taken to observe this. As
a safety feature, the power switch is backlit to
indicate bulb illuminat ion. Each spotlight needs to be
wired on a single dedicated circuit and the power
fused at 5 amps. With the power connected, your
light is ready for operation.
OPERATION OF GL-4600
1. Using the remote control, turn on the light by
moving the on/off switch.
2. With the joystick on the da sh control, rotate your
light to the desired location. Movement speed
starts off slow and i ncr eas e s s peed as t he j oystick
is held down.
3. Position the dial to use the desired light. WHITE
indicates the visible whit e LED light. IR indicates
infrared LED.
4. Move the power switch ON to power on the
selected light.
5. Press the HOME button to return the GL-4600
back to its original home position.

equipment generates, uses, and can radiate
radio frequency energy and, if not installed and
used in accordance with the instructions, may
cause harmful interference to radio
communications. However, there is no
guarantee that interference will not occur in a
particular installation. If this equipment does
cause h armful interference to r adio or televisi on
reception, which can be determined by turning
the equipment off and on, the user is enc o urag ed
to try to correct the interference by one or m ore
of the following measures:
• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the equipment
and receiver.
• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a
circuit different from that to which the
receiver is connected.
• Consult the dealer or an experienced
radio/TV technician for help.
