Bastard may be held securely in our patent file holder.
As most files are tapered and a great many of them crooked, we have pro
vided a tilting or adjusting arrangement for bringing the working side of
the file to an absolute vertical position.
2. Top and Bottom File Holder—A
file may be fastened either above or
below the table. It is possible, but
not necessary nor advisable, to fasten
the file both above and below. When
the file is fastened below, the file
holder above should be moved for
ward until it touches the file, thus
supporting the upper end of the file,
shown in the illustration.
