IMPORTANT: Before you begin, read these
instructions and check to be sure all par ts and tools
are accounted for. Please retain these installation
instructions for future reference and parts ordering
information.

YourLightKitisexclusivelydesignedforyourLandPride
Zero Turn Mower models Z44 & Z52 with S/N 472620+,
ZXT54, ZXT60, ZT60 and ZT72. Please read these
installation instructions and your mower’s Operator’s
Manual thoroughly before beginning. Especially read
information relating to safety concerns. Also included in
the Operator’s Manual is important information on
operation, adjustment, troubleshooting, and
maintenance for this attachment (some manual sections
do not apply to all accessories).

A separate Parts Manual for your Zero Turn Mower is
available free of charge at www.landpride.com or can be
purchased from your nearest Land Pride dealer. Have
the model and serial number of your Zero Turn Mower
handy when placing an order.

the following actions are suggested:

youmayhaveandthat he has had the opportunity to
assist you.

2. If you are still not satisfied, seek out the owner or
general manager of the dealership, explain the
problem and request assistance.

Assembly Instructions

Adetailed listing of parts for the accessorykit is provided
on page 8. Use this list as a checklist to inventory parts
received.Please contact your local Land Pride dealerfor
any missing hardware.

Initial Preparations

1. Parkmoweronaflatsurfaceand move control levers
fully out. Set park brake on Z44 & Z52 models with S/
N 526170- and ZXT54 & ZXT60 models.

2. Turn off engine and remove ignition key.

3. Raise seat deck fully up.

Refer to Figure 1:

4. Disconnect negative ground wire (black wire) from
the batter y’s negative post ( - ). Place ground wire in
a location where it cannot touch the batter y posts.

Light Switch & Headlight

Refer to Figure 1:

Installation of headlights is easier if installed to light
brackets upside down as shown in Figure 1. The right
andlefthandlightbrackets are identified bytherectangle
cut-out in the mounting leg. Right hand light bracket
shown in Figure 1 has a rectangle cut-out and the left
hand light bracket does not.

1. Remove machine screws (#11), lock washers (#4)
and u-bracket (#10) from headlight (#9).

2. Attachu-bracket(#10) to righthandlightbracket(#1)
with two #10-24 x 1/2" black Phillips head machine
screws (#2), four #10 flat washers (#5), two #10 lock
washers (#6) and two #10-24 hex huts (#3).

3. Center u-bracket in light bracket frame and tighten
nuts (#3).

4. Position headlight with vent side facing awayfrom
the u-bracket and pig tail pointing away from light
bracket mounting leg.

5. Attach headlight to u-bracket with Phillips/hex head
machine screws (#11) and lock washers (#4).
Tighten screws.

6. Insert headlight switch (#7) into the rectangle hole
with terminals down when oriented as shown in
Figure 1.

7. Install switch actuator (#8) with curved end of
actuator down when oriented as shown in Figure 1.

8. Repeat steps 1 to 5 for left hand light Installation.

Wiring Harness Routing

Refer to Figure 2:

1. Locate and identify the three plastic loom ends.
a. End “A” has one connector for attaching to the

right headlight and two female terminals for
attaching to the headlight switch.

b. End“B” has one connector for attaching to the left

headlight.

c. End “C” has two female/male terminals for

attaching to the hour meter and two male
terminals for connecting to the existing hour
meter wiring.

Wire Routing in Right Headlight Bracket

1. Insert end “A” (Figure 2) through wire harness
opening (Figure 1) in right hand light bracket.

Refer to Figure 3 on page 3:

2. Attach female terminals to headlight switch (#1).

3. Attach headlight connector (#2) to headlight.

4. With smooth side of plastic tie (#3) turned out,
secure connector (#2) using slits in back of light
bracket. Draw plastic tie up loosely. Do not tighten

plastic ties.

5. With smooth side of plastic tie (#4) turned out,
secure wiring harness using slits in back of light
bracket. Draw plastic tie up loosely. Do not tighten

plastic ties.

6. With smooth side of plastic tie (#5) turned out,
secure wiring harness to mounting leg using slits in
leg of light bracket. Draw plastic tie up loosely.Do

not tighten plastic ties.

7. Verify wir ing harness does not interfere with
headlight and light switch; then draw all three plastic
ties up tight.

Wire Harness Opening

Run Wire Harness to Left Headlight Bracket

Refer to Figure 2 on page 2:

Run end “B” of headlight loom along back side of seat to
hole in left light bracket. Actual placement of loom and
plastic tie instructions will be later.

Wire Routing in Left Headlight Bracket

Refer to Figure 4:

1. Insert end “B” through wire harness hole (#1) in left
mounting bracket.

2. Attach headlight connector (#2) to headlight.

3. With smooth side of plastic tie (#3) turned out,

plastic ties.

4. With smooth side of plastic tie (#4) turned out,
secure wiring harness using slits in back of light

secure wiring harness to mounting leg using slits in
leg of light bracket. Draw plastic tie up loosely.Do

not tighten plastic ties.

headlight; then draw all three plastic ties up tight.
