ASSEMBLING YOUR STACK-A-SNACK AND USING
FOR THE FIRST TIME
1. The upper and lower rings, and middle plate all lift
out of the Stack-a-Snack for easy cleaning.
2. Wash the rings and middle plate in hot soapy water,
then rinse and dry thoroughly.
3. Wipe the hotplates with a damp soapy cloth, then
wipe with a clean damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
4. Before you start cooking, slot the rings and middle
plate correctly back into the hotplate hinges, so they
are secure and sit flat on the lower hotplate. The
middle plate heatproof handle should be on the left-
hand side.
5. When you switch on the Stack-a-Snack for the first
time there may be a slight burning smell. This is
normal for a new product and will disappear after
a few uses.

any juices that may escape during cooking.

For ease, the product has one temperature setting. After a few minutes, the green ready
light will come on to show the hotplates have heated up and the Stack-a-Snack is ready to
use.
The beauty of this hot toasted sandwich maker is trying out your favourite ingredients
and coming up with tasty new recipes adapted from the ones in this booklet. Cooking
times will vary depending on the foods you choose, so lift the lid to check, and cook for a
couple more minutes if needed. Here are two quick and easy ideas to get you started.
TO MAKE A BREAKFAST EGG MUFFIN
1. Lift up the lid, then lift up the upper
ring and middle plate.
2. Place the muffin base and any other
fillings inside the lower ring.
3. Lower the middle plate and upper ring,
crack your egg into the ring.
4. Place the top of the muffin directly onto
the egg.
5. Close the lid to cook. Lift the lid after 5-6
minutes to check your snack is ready. If
not, cook for a couple more minutes.
6. Pull the middle plate handle to the left
to slide it out and stack your snack
together.
7. Open the lid and lift up the rings by their
handles.

ADAPTING YOUR OWN RECIPES AND HINTS AND TIPS
Once you’ve tried some of the recipes in this booklet, you may wish to adapt them, using our
suggestions as a guide.
Cooking times will vary depending on the foods you choose, so lift the lid and cook for a
couple more minutes if needed.
Just like any toasted sandwich maker, don’t overfill the Stack-a-Snack as the ingredients will
not cook through properly and they may escape from the sides.
Always wait for the green ready light before adding food. Ingredients may escape from the
sides if the hotplates are not fully heated first.
Apart from burgers, meats should always be pre-cooked before placing in the Stack-a-Snack.
Bread and bagels which are too big can be trimmed to fit with cookie cutters.
Sweeter breads such as fruit loaf or gingerbread need less cooking time, as their sugar content
means they brown more quickly.
When cooking eggs, brush or spray a little oil on the walls of the rings to prevent sticking.
The product should not be used for cooking or defrosting frozen food.
Do not force the lid if the Stack-a-Snack will not close completely. Simply rest the upper
hotplate on top of your snack to toast it.
