Thank you for choosing the Lakeland Steam Mop. The Steam Mop uses the triple layered, steam activated microfibre pads to loosen and lift dirt.
It’s quick heat-up time allows the mop to produce super-heated steam within 30 seconds. The steam sanitises floors, killing harmful germs and E-coli without the need for harmful chemicals. The 6m flex allows easy use around the home with the adjustable handle enabling you to set a height that’s best for you.

SAFETY CAUTIONS
Carefully read all the instructions before using the appliance and keep in a safe place for future reference. Always follow these safety cautions when using the appliance to avoid personal injury or damage to the appliance. This appliance should only be used as described in this instruction book.
Please use caution when using the Steam Mop. The steam emitted from the openings is very hot.
• Make sure your electricity supply matches the voltage shown on the appliance.
• Ensure all packaging materials and any promotional labels or stickers are removed from the appliance before the first use.
• Always inspect the appliance before use for noticeable signs of damage. Do not use if damaged or has been dropped into water or left outdoors. In the event of damage, or if the appliance develops a fault contact the Lakeland Customer Care Team on 015394 88100.
Do not use this appliance if the lead is damaged. If the lead is damaged it must be replaced with a special lead, contact the Lakeland Care Team on 015394 88100.
• Use ONLY on flat horizontal surfaces. Do not use on walls, counters or windows.
Do not leave the appliance unattended when plugged in.
• Unplug from the mains when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before cleaning the appliance. To disconnect, turn the socket to “off” and remove the plug from the mains socket.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children should always be supervised to ensure they do not play with this product. Close attention is necessary when used near children, pets or plants.
Do not use any accessories or attachments with this appliance other than those recommended by Lakeland.
• To protect against fire, electric shock or personal injury, do not immerse cord, plug or unit in water or other liquids.
Do not pull or carry by power cord, use power cord as handle, close a door on the power cord, or pull the power cord around sharp edges or corners. Keep the power cord away from heated surfaces.
• For indoor use only.
• For domestic use only.
• This appliance should be used for steam mopping as described within the instructions for use that accompany it.
• Always ensure that your hands are dry before removing the plug from the mains socket. Never pull the plug out of the mains socket by its lead. Do not handle the Steam Mop with wet hands or use the mop without any shoes on.
• To avoid injury or possible fire, do not cover the appliance when in use.
Do not connect this appliance to an external timer or remote control system.
• An extension cable may be used with care. The electrical rating of the cable should be at least as great as the appliance. Do not allow the cable to touch any hot surfaces.
• This appliance complies with the basic requirements of Directives 04/108/EC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) and 06/95/EC (Safety of Domestic Electrical Appliances).
WARNING: A cut off plug inserted into a 13amp socket is a serious safety (shock) hazard. Ensure the cut off plug is disposed of safely.
CAUTION: The plastic bags used to wrap this appliance or the packaging may be dangerous. To
avoid risk of suffocation, keep these bags out of reach of babies and children. These bags are not toys.
Do not put any objects into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked.
Do not put hands or feet under the Steam Mop, the unit gets very hot.

Do not use on unsealed wood or unglazed ceramic floors. On surfaces that have been treated with wax or some no wax floors, the sheen may be removed by the heat and steam action. It is always recommended to test an isolated area of the surface to be cleaned before proceeding. We also recommend that you check the use and care instructions from the floor manufacturer.
Do not use on leather, waxed polished furniture, synthetic fabrics, velvet or other delicate, steam sensitive materials.
Do not add cleaning solutions, scented perfumes, oils or any other chemicals to the water used in this appliance as this may damage the unit or make it unsafe for use. If you live in a hard water area, we recommend using distilled water in your Steam Mop.
Do not leave the Steam Mop unattended when the system is connected to a power supply/electrical outlet.
• When in use, NEVER turn the appliance over or on its side. Never direct steam towards people,
animals or plants.
Do not store unit with damp/wet microfibre pad attached. Never leave the steam mop in one spot on any surface for any period of time with a damp or wet microfibre pad attached as this will damage your floors.
• Make sure that the water tank door is closed when using the appliance.
• Carefully remove the microfibre pad immediately after you have unplugged and allowed the steam mop to cool.
• When cleaning the Steam Mop, unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet and clean with a dry or damp cloth. Do not pour water or use alcohol, benzene or paint thinner on the unit.
• Extreme caution should be exercised when using this application to clean stairs.
Do not use Steam Mop without microfibre pad attached.
• Store the Steam Mop indoors in a cool, dry place.
• Keep the area you are cleaning well lit.
• To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another application on the same socket (circuit) as the steam cleaner.
• If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, an extension cord rated to a minimum of 15 ampere, 14 gauge cord should be used. Cords rated for less amperage may overheat. Extension cords over 5 metres in length should not be used. Care should be taken to arrange cord so that it cannot be pulled or tripped over.

• Liquid or steam must not be directed towards equipment containing electrical components, such as the interior of ovens.

GETTING STARTED
ASSEMBLY
1. Carefully unpack all the parts and remove any packaging. Do not plug in the mop until it is fully
assembled and you have read all of the following instructions.
2. Fig 1: Slide the upper extension tube (a) into the lower extension tube (b). Push the two extension tubes
together until you hear them click into place.
3. Fig 2: Insert assembled pieces into the steam mop base. Push together until you hear it click into place.
Insert the cord into the cord clip on the shaft of the Steam Mop.
4. Fig 3: Place one microfibre pad underneath the mop head, with the quick fastener strips facing up.
Simply press the Steam Mop to the pad.
