Thank you for choosing the Lakeland Easy Clean Milk Frother.

Please take a little time to read this booklet before you use your machine and keep it in a
safe place for future reference.

The Easy Clean Milk Frother warms and froths hot milk to create perfect lattes,
cappuccinos and café-style hot chocolates. It also froths cold milk for iced coffees,
milkshakes and smoothies. Just pour in your milk and pop on the lid and switch on. In
next to no time you’ll have enough thick, creamy froth or hot milk for two luxurious
drinks. The patented whisk rotates gently to evenly distribute heat and prevent milk from
burning, and can be completely removed for easy cleaning to prevent a build-up of burnt
on milk.

SAFETY CAUTIONS

Carefully read all the instructions before using the appliance and keep in a safe place
for future reference. Always follow these safety cautions when using the appliance to
avoid personal injury or damage to the appliance. This appliance should be used only as
described in this instruction book.

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years
and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be done by children unless they are older
than 8 and supervised.

• Make sure your electricity supply matches the voltage shown on the appliance.

• Ensure all packaging materials and any promotional labels or stickers are removed from

the appliance before the first use.

• Always inspect the appliance before use for noticeable signs of damage. Do not use if

damaged or has been dropped. In the event of damage, or if the appliance develops a
fault contact the Lakeland customer care team on 015394 88100.

• Do not use this appliance if the lead is damaged. If the lead is damaged it must be

replaced with a special lead. Contact the Lakeland customer care team on
015394 88100.

• Always use the appliance on a dry, level, heat resistant surface.

• Unplug from the mains when not in use and before cleaning. To disconnect, turn the

socket to “off “and remove the plug from the mains socket.

• Do not use any accessories or attachments with this appliance other than those

recommended by Lakeland.

• To protect against fire, electric shock or personal injury, do not immerse cord, plug or lid

in water or other liquids.

• Do not leave the lead hanging over the edge of a kitchen table or worktop. Avoid

contact between the lead and hot surfaces.

• For indoor use only.

• For domestic use only.

• This appliance should be used for preparation of drinks as described within the

instructions for use that accompany it.

• Always ensure that your hands are dry before removing the plug from the mains socket.

Never pull the plug out of the mains socket by its lead.

• To avoid injury or possible fire, do not cover the appliance when in use.

• Do not connect this appliance to an external timer or remote control system.

• An extension cable may be used with care. The electrical rating of the cable should be
at least as great as the appliance. Do not allow the cable to hang over the edge of the
worktop or touch any hot surfaces.

• This appliance complies with the basic requirements of Directives 04/108/EC
(Electromagnetic Compatibility) and 06/95/EC (Safety of Domestic Electrical Appliances).

• WARNING: A cut off plug inserted into a 13amp socket is a serious safety (shock)
hazard. Ensure the cut off plug is disposed of safely.

• CAUTION: The plastic bags used to wrap this appliance or the packaging may be

dangerous. To avoid risk of suffocation, keep these bags out of reach of babies
and children. These bags are not toys.

• Keep the Milk Frother, including its plug and lead away from hot ovens, electric and gas
burners, flames and hot surfaces.

• Do not touch any moving parts whilst in use. Always switch off the appliance and wait
until the whisk has stopped rotating before you open the lid.

• Surfaces may be hot when the Milk Frother is in use or just used. Use the handle and
take care when removing the lid.

• Milk will remain hot for a considerable time after heating and is a scalding hazard.

• Ensure the lid is fully closed before switching on. Do not open the lid when milk is
heating, scalding may occur if the lid is lifted.

• Ensure the Milk Frother is securely on the base before switching on. The Milk Frother
must be only used with the base supplied by the manufacturer. Do not use the base
with any other appliances.

• Keep hands away from the spout when milk is heating, steam is hot.

• The Milk Frother must be filled to at least the ‘MIN’ mark inside before it is switched on.
Do not fill beyond the ‘MAX MILK’ or ‘MAX FROTH’ level.

• Do not lift or move the Milk Frother while in use.

• Remove the Milk Frother from the base to fill or pour. Pour slowly and do not over-tilt
the Milk Frother.

• Do not leave the Milk Frother unattended while it is frothing milk.

• Do not use metal spoons or other utensils with sharp edges to spoon milk or froth from
the appliance. These will scratch the coating inside. Pour only.

• Only heat milk in the Milk Frother, do not heat any other liquids, apart from the first use.

• Do not operate empty.

HOW TO ASSEMBLE THE EASY CLEAN MILK FROTHER
AND USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

WARNING: Do not insert the plug into an electrical outlet, or turn on the Milk Frother
before you have fully assembled it.

1. Unpack the Milk Frother, remove all the packaging materials.

2. Before first use, wipe the jug with a clean damp cloth.

3. Wash the lid, whisk and whisk holder in warm soapy water, rinse and dry.

4. Insert the whisk holder and whisk inside the jug. The whisk magnet will click into place
on the inside.

5. Stand the jug on the base unit. Fill it with tap water to the ‘MAX FROTH’ level inside
the jug.

6. Add the lid, plug in and switch on at the socket.

7. Press the on/off button once. The button will illuminate red, and the whisk will start to
rotate.

8. The light will go out and the whisk will automatically stop when the water is warm.

9. Discard the warm water, the machine is now ready to use.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

TO MAKE HOT MILK FROTH

You can froth 150ml of hot milk in less than 2½ minutes.

1. Plug in the Milk Frother and switch it on at the socket.

2. Make sure the Milk Frother is filled to at least the ‘MIN’ mark and no further than the
‘MAX FROTH’ mark inside the jug, or the Milk Frother will burn dry or overflow through
the lid.

3. Press the on/off button once. The whisk will start to rotate and the button will
illuminate RED, to show it is frothing warm milk.

4. The light will go out and the whisk will automatically stop when your frothed milk is
ready.

TO MAKE HOT MILK

You can heat 250ml of hot milk in less than 3 minutes.

1. Plug in the Milk Frother and switch it on at the socket.

2. Make sure the Milk Frother is filled to at least the ‘MIN’ mark, and no further than the
‘MAX MILK’ mark inside the jug, or the motor will burn dry or over flow through the
lid.

3. Press the on/off button twice. The whisk will start to rotate and the button will
illuminate and BLINK RED, to show it is heating milk.

4. The light will go out and the whisk will automatically stop when your hot milk is ready.
