Use only cold water when filling.
The water level must be between the MAX. and MIN. marks.
Switch the kettle off before removing it from the base.
Always ensure that the lid is tightly closed.
The base and exterior of the kettle must not become wet.
USIN G YOUR K ETTLE FOR THE FIRST TIME
Please read these instructions carefully and keep them in a safe place. Before using for the first time, boil fresh water at least twice and discard. Do not add anything to the water.
USIN G YOUR K ETTLE
1. Place the machine on a flat surface.
2. Open the lid by pressing the button on the handle, then fill with water. The water level is shown by the water level indicator on the side of the kettle. Please do not overfill the kettle.
3. Close the lid by pressing down with your hand until it clicks shut.
4. Place the kettle flush on the base.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
1. Check that the mains voltage supply you intend to use is the same as that of the kettle. For information on the voltage supply of the kettle, please see the identification plate on the base.
2. Switch on the kettle using the on/off switch. The indicator light will illuminate.
3. The kettle switches off automatically when the water has boiled. Then disconnect the kettle from the mains power supply. Always hold the lid closed when pouring water out. Beware of scalding.

2. The appliance is designed for domestic use only. Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is damp or wet, unplug it immediately. Do not put it in water.
3. When cleaning or putting the kettle away, switch it off and pull out the plug from the socket (pull on the plug, not the cable).
