and is ideal for shared resource use on a LAN, multiuser UNIX
computer, engineering workstation, minicomputer, or mainframe.
Intelligent – The 8900 Series printers adjust to the document
being printed. The intelligent forms processing of these printers
is unsurpassed, with leading edge technologies such as
Z-Axis Control™ adjustment for document thickness and Page
Finder™ which locates document edges. Thirty character
Answerback memory (ABM) for mission critical applications.
Sharp – Long-life metal tear bar for a clean edge and easy
form removal. Convenient features include zero tear-off, paper
parking and front load bottom feed tractors. Supports legacy
applications with TI 810/880 emulations. Heavy duty
printhead handles six part forms and up to nine part forms
in double strike mode.
Powerful – Control panel enables users to easily set up and
configure. Two line by sixteen character liquid crystal display
(LCD). Three Powerkey™ function keys and twelve operation
keys allow the user to quickly configure the most frequently
used printer functions such as pitch, print quality, font selection,
form align, form feed, form configuration and form select. Ten
user definable forms.
