Storage and Protection
The LaCie 2big Quadra has been developed for professionals
who expect high speed and large capacities from a storage and
backup device. Offering amazing transfer speeds through eSATA
3Gb/s and FireWire 800, the 2big Quadra also comes with
FireWire 400 and Hi-speed USB 2.0 for universal connectivity
to Mac and PC. As a complete 2-bay solution, it features four
RAID modes to customize speed and protection, and comes with
advanced backup software with a computer recovery option.

RAID Performance for Creative Pros
Taking advantage of a native controller that preserves computer
resources, the LaCie 2big Quadra reaches large capacity and an
impressive speed of 165MB/s in RAID0 through eSATA 3Gb/s.
These performances are ideal for creative professionals that need
to work with applications that demand high speeds, such as 3D
imaging programs or even with audio/video post-production
software with multiple SD and HD streams. It’s even possible to
daisy-chain FireWire or an iLink DV camera through FireWire.
Customizable RAID Protection
Featuring four RAID modes, the LaCie 2big Quadra lets users
easily customize RAID speed and protection levels. In RAID 1, it
offers full data protection for library archiving and backup, with
hot-swappable disks for non-stop data access—even during
maintenance. A convenient Mixed Partition mode enables creative
professionals to work on “daily” data in a RAID 0 partition and
to get another RAID 1 partition for backup and protect sensitive
data. Extra spare disks are also available as an option for
immediate replacement.

the LaCie 2big Quadra. This software enables you to reliably
and efficiently back up your documents, emails, settings, or
other digital assets. With its ease of use, you can schedule and
customize the type of backup you create. The Genie and Intego
programs are ideal for creative professionals, and users can
easily find previous versions of their documents and restore
them. With computer recovery options, users will be able to
restore their configuration and to go right back to work in the
event of a disaster with their workstation. It’s easy to back up
directly from your Mac with the native solution, since the 2big
Quadra is compatible with Time Machine®.

2big Quadra easily integrates into any Mac or PC environment.
With versatile configurations such as upright, horizontal, stacked
