Important notes
Miscellaneous
This installation instruction contains important information, read it carefully and follow any
instructions. This will prevent failure caused by wrong use and/or installation. Keep this
manual for possible later use. Follow the instructions from the manufacturer of the cooking
equipment for the installation of hoods. Install this hood with at least two people. Replace
defective parts only with original spare parts from the manufacturer.
If you have bought a cooker hood with an external motor then you will find more
information in the manual for the motor which is to be found in the package.
Safety requirements
Please note that the installation should only be done by a professional as he has the
knowledge about the air duct and the electrical connection. Make sure that the wall or
ceiling is suitable for the weight of the cooker hood. For fixing the cooker hood please use
the enclosed plugs. Depending on the surface the plugs (8mm) are having the following
bearing capacities:
brick 5,2 kN
concrete 9,4 kN
lime sand brick 4,8 kN
If you need to fix your cooker hood on other surfaces please ask a professional.
Risk of injury
During manufacturing of the extractor, sharp edges can be formed. Therefore always wear
gloves during installation.
Danger of electric shock
Voltage must match the voltage marked on the ratings plate. This plate can be found under
the grease filter. This appliance should be connected to a grounded system. The electrical
connection must be easily accessible after installation.
Before any maintenance or repair the power supply must be disconnected!
Air outlet
The air should not be discharged into a chimney which is also used for the removal of
exhaust gases from equipment working on fuel (including gas). Take into account the rules
for air outlet. Prepare electrical connection and ducting, that way the hood can easily be
connected. Avoid sharp bends and kinks in the drain hose.

Mounting above a stove
Furnace for solid fuels
In a solid fuel stove which can fire out (sparks) is the fitting of the hood only allowed when
the furnace is closed and its shielding is not removable.
Gas stove
The minimum distance between the gas stove and the cooker hood is 750mm. If the
manufacturer of the stove is recommending a lager distance please follow this advise.
Electric hob
The minimum distance between the gas stove and the cooker hood is 650mm. If the
manufacturer of the stove is recommending a lager distance please follow this advise.
Gas hob
The installation of the gas hob with a minimum distance of 750mm to the cooker hood is
only allowed if the following, single values for the thermal load are not exceeded.
load of one cooking zone max. 3,0 kW
load of all cooking zones max. 8,3 kW
load of the cooker max. 3,9 kW
Always follow the installation requirements and instructions of the cooker manufacturer!
