a. BEGRENZUNG DER TRAGKRAFT:

a. - Untergrund und Basisbox müssen stabil genug sein um die
a. - Last tragen können.
a. - 5°-Kipptest: die ordnungsgemäß aufgebaute Installation
a. - bestehend aus: Basisbox, Distanzstange und Traglast
a. - (Satellitenbox) darf auf einer um 5° geneigten Prüfebene
a. - nicht umfallen.
a. - Traglast max. 35 kg (vorbehaltlich des 5°-Kipptestes).

b. VOR DEM BETRIEB:

b. - Auf tragfähigen und ebenen Untergrund achten.
b. - Prüfen ob Distanzrohr, Lautsprecherbuchsen und Hilfsmittel
b. - (z.B. Leitern) funktionstüchtig sind, insbesondere hinsichtlich:
b. - - Vollständigkeit, Größenverhältnisse und Güte
b. - - Bei festgestellten Schäden darf kein weiterer Einsatz erfolgen
b. - Bei größeren Lasten ist Einsatz von Personal erforderlich
b. - (2 fachlich und körperlich geeignete Personen).
b. - Eventuell steht das Distanzrohr leicht schief auf der Basisbox.
b. - Das liegt am Spiel zwischen dem Rohrstutzen und der
b. - Lautsprecherbuchse, welches je nach Fabrikat leicht
b. - unterschiedlich ausfallen kann. Ein gewisses Spiel muss sein
b. - um eine dauerhafte Gängigkeit zu gewährleisten. Ggf. den
b. - Adapterring 85890 einsetzen: siehe 3.

c. SICHERHEIT WÄHREND DES BETRIEBES:

c. - Stange zentrisch belasten:
c. - außermittige Lasten beeinträchtigen die Standfestigkeit
c. - Unbefugte von der Installation fern halten
c. - Sicherstellen, dass sich die Klemmschraube 7 angezogen
c. - und der Rastbolzen 5 sich stets im Eingriff befinden
c. - Niemals Klemmschraube und Rastbolzen unkontrolliert lösen
c. - Vor Seitenkräften schützen.
c. - Diese erhöhen die Kippgefahr und stellen eine Belastung der
c. - Lautsprecherbuchse dar.
c. - Seitenkräfte können entstehen durch:
c. - - Wind, Stöße, schräger Untergrund, Zerren an der Installation

d. NACH DEM BETRIEB:

d. - erst Satellitenbox entfernen und danach Stange aus
d. - Basisbox lösen
d. - Aufmerksame Handhabung erforderlich,
d. - da die Verstellmöglichkeiten Einklemmgefahren bergen

3 3.1 Zunächst den Adapter mit dem Wulst voran bis zum Anschlag

- (Einklemmen, Anstoßen, Kippen).

- Zur Reinigung und Pflege am besten ein leicht

- feuchtes Tuch und ein nicht scheuerndes

- Reinigungsmittel benutzen.

F: Stativ wackelt:

F: B: Bodenunebenheiten beseitigen.
F: B: Verhältnis von Subwoofer und Satellit prüfen.

F: Auszugrohr wackelt bzw. fährt ein unter Last:

ACHTUNG!
Die Gasdruckfeder unterstützt wesentlich die Handhabung großer Lasten.
Trotzdem gilt: nicht das Gewicht des Lautsprechers (max. 35 kg) unterschätzen!

- Das Aufsetzen und Aus- bzw. Einfahren des Lautsprechers muss durch

- fachlich und körperlich geeignetes Personal erfolgen.

- Auszugrohr während der Höhenverstellung mit festem Griff halten und

- die gewünschte Endstellung stets mit dem Rastbolzen sichern.

- NEU: das Auszugrohr endet in einem kegeligen Zapfen, der sogenannten
Aufsteckhilfe, die das Aufsetzen des Lautsprechers wesentlich erleichtert.

Beteiligte:
EP - Erste Person: bedient das Auszugrohr mit der Last

ZP - Zweite Person: bedient Klemmschraube und
Rastbolzen der Spannschelle

Reihenfolge beim Ausfahren:

EP - 1 hält Auszugrohr fest
ZP - 2 lockert Klemmschraube und hält diese fest

ZP - 3 zieht den Rastknopf bis sich der Rastbolzen
ZP - 3 nicht mehr im Eingriff befindet

EP - 4 führt (das von der Gasdruckfeder unterstützte)

EP - 4 Auszugrohr mitsamt der Box in die ungefähr
EP - 4 gewünschte Höhe;
EP - 4 BEACHTE:
EP - 4 Zum einfachen Auffinden der
EP - 4 Rastloches sollte sich diese in diesem Moment
EP - 4 kurz über der Spannschelle befinden

ZP - 5 lässt Rastknopf los, damit der Bolzen ins

EP - 6 lässt Auszugrohr langsam ab bis Rastbolzen

Das Einfahren der Last

Das Einfahren der Last erfolgt in
umgekehrter Reihenfolge.

BEACHTE:

- Der Rastbolzen 3 kann durch Herausziehen

- und Verdrehen des Griffes um 90° entrie-

- gelt werden. Dies erleichtert das Einfahren der Box,

- v.a. wenn nur eine Person beteiligt ist.

- Damit das Auszugrohr unter der Last der Box schön

- langsam einfährt muss die Reibungskraft der

- Klemmung sanft reduziert werden.

- Dazu die Klemmschraube 2 gefühl-

- voll und vorsichtig lösen.

- Sollte die Box ca.17 kg oder

- weniger wiegen, muss wegen

- der Gasfeder der Auszug mit

- etwas Kraftanwendung

- eingefahren werden.

a. LIMITATION OF THE LOAD BEARING WEIGHT:

a. - Surface and base box must be stable enough to be able to
a. - bear the weight.
a. - 5°-Tilt Test: the properly assembled installation consisting of:
a. - Base box, distance rod and weight bearing load (satellite box)
a. - may not fall over at a 5° test angle.
a. - Test weight maximum 35 kg (subject to the 5° tilt test).

b. PRIOR TO USE:

b. - Be sure that the surface is weight bearing, sturdy and level.
b. - Check if the distance rod, loudspeakers connectors and aids
b. - (e.g. ladders) are in working order, in particular regarding:
b. - - completeness, size relationship and quality
b. - - in the case of identified defects the system may not be used
b. - In the case of heavy loads the use of additional technicians is
b. - required (we recommend 2 technicians that are physically fit).
b. - It is possible that the distance rod leans somewhat in the
b. - base box. This is due to the play between the tube support
b. - and the loudspeaker connector, which depending on the
b. - manufacturer can differ somewhat. A little play is required to
b. - ensure continued usability. If needed, use Adapter Ring
b. - 85890: refer to 3.

c. SAFETY DURING OPERATION:

c. - Be sure the weight on the rod is centered: if the weight is not
c. - centered - this has a negative affect on stability
c. - Keep unauthorized individuals away from the installation
c. - Ensure that the clamp screw 7 is tight and the locking pin 5
c. - is always clicked into place
c. - Never loosen the clamp screw or locking pin without having
c. - someone hold the weight of the subwoofer, loudspeakers, or
c. - satellite boxes
c. - Protect against lateral forces, because these increase the risk of
c. - the installation falling over and can negatively affect the
c. - loudspeaker connector. Lateral forces can occur through:
c. - - wind, impact, uneven surface, pulling on the installation

d. AFTER USE:

d. - First remove the satellite box and then loosen the rod from
d. - the base box
d. - Careful and attentive handling is required: the adjustment
d. - options can result in pinching or wedging your hand

1 Remove the distance rod from the box and screw the clamp screw

1 into the clamping bracket.

2 Place the base rod in the flange adapter of the base box.

3 As described in the SAFETY NOTES (b), there is a small gap

3 between the loudspeaker connector and the rod. In needed the K&M
3 Leveling Adapter 85890 (not included in the delivery) can all but
3 close the gap.
3 3.1 First place the adapter with the rim onto the tube support as far
3 3.1 as it will go,
3 3.2 place the tube support into the loudspeaker connector,
3 3.3 now place the adapter ring into the gap as far as it will go

CHECK, MAINTENANCE, CLEANING

MOVING THE BOX

- Careful use of the stand maintains the use of the

- telescope and the load bearing functionality of the

- installation, as well as the safety of the installation.

- Perform workstation maintenance only without the

- weight on the support arms and watch for eventual

- risks (pinched fingers, impact, the rod falls over).

- To care for the product use a damp cloth and a

- non-abrasive cleaning agent.

FAULT FINDING (F) and SOLUTION (S)
F: Installation is not stable:

F: S: Ensure that the surface is even.
F: S: Check the relationship between the subwoofer
F: S: and satellite.
F: S: Tighten clamping screw 7.
F: S: Use Adapter Ring K&M 85890 3.1

F: The extension tube is loose i.e. retracts when the

F: speakers are attached:
F: S: Tighten the clamping screw 7.
F: S: Check locking pin 5 to see if it is clicked into place.

ATTENTION!
The pneumatic spring is a great help in handling heavier weights. But the follo­wing applies: do not underestimate the weight of the loudspeakers (max 35 kg)!

- The placement, extension and retraction of the loudspeakers must be

- performed by physically fit technicians.

- Firmly grasp the distance rod when adjusting the height to the desired position

- and lock in the locking pin.

- NEW: the distance rod end is in the form of a peg, the so-called placement help,
which makes it much easier to place the loudspeaker onto the rod.

Technicians:
FP - First Person: operates the distance rod with the box

SP - Second Person: operates the clamping bracket's
clamping screw and locking pin

Sequence when extending the rod:

FP - 1 holds the distance rod
SP - 2 loosens the clamp screw and holds it

SP - 3 pulls the locking knob until the locking pin
SP - 3 is no longer in the locked position

FP - 4 extends the (pneumatically supported)

FP - 4 distance rod with the box to the desired
FP - 4 approx. height;
FP - 4 NOTE:
FP - 4 To find the pin hole easily the locking pin
FP - 4 should be placed just above the hole

SP - 5 lets go of the locking knob, (so that the pin

SP - 5 can click into the distance rod)

FP - 6 slowly lowers the distance rod so that the

FP - 6 locking pin locks into the hole

SP - 7 tightens the clamping screw

SP - 7 (manual strength is enough)

RETRACTING THE WEIGHT

When retracting the weight the
reverse order applies.

NOTE:

- The locking pin 3 can be unlocked by

- pulling and turning the handle 90°. This

- makes it easier to retract the box,

- especially, if this is done by one person.

- To ensure that the distance rod with the weight

- of the box is retracted slowly the friction of the

- clamping must be reduced delicately. To accomplish

- this loosen the clamping screw 2

- carefully.

- Should the box weigh 17 kg or less,

- the distance rod will have to be

- retracted with a little more

- power due to the pneumatic

- spring.
