Important Precautions for viewing terrestrial broadcasting
1.
Check whether terrestrial digital broadcasting has been started
in the region (country) where the tuner will be used.
This product has a receiver for terrestrial digital broadcasts, and does not
allow TV viewing in regions (countries) where there is no terrestrial digital
broadcasting. In addition, it cannot receive terrestrial analog broadcasts.
However, if terrestrial digital broadcasting is not provided in the area
where the tuner is used, there is a possibility that analog TV is provided.
If you have an analog TV, set up a pass-through connection (on the back
of this page) between this product and analog TV, and try viewing with the
analog TV.
Even in countries where terrestrial digital TV broadcasting has been started,
it may be impossible to view digital TV if the current location (anchor point)
is distant from the broadcasting station, or if it is impossible to obtain signal
strength sufficient for TV viewing at unfavorable locations such as those
where noise has an effect on TV signals.
2.
Standards for terrestrial digital broadcasting are not uniform
throughout the world, and thus before searching for channels
which can be viewed (channel scan),it is necessary to specify
the broadcast standard for channel scanning.
If channel scan is performed with a different broadcast standard,
channels will not be detected.
*
Broadcasting standards are established by regions (countries). With this
product, it is possible to perform channel scan with either of the following:
Scanning by designating a region (country) or broadcasting standard
Sequential scanning of all broadcasting standards
With "All Scan", all broadcasting standards are scanned in sequence,
and this takes time.
Therefore, if the broadcasting standard at the current location or geographical
point is known, it is recommended to perform channel scan with method .
