2. INTRODUCTION
Thank you for choosing the heating pad of the Kyara line by Moretti. Please read the operating instructions and safety warnings in particular before using the appliance and follow these at all times. Keep this manual and illustrative guide with the appliance for future consultation. Should you pass the device on to another user, make sure to also include this documentation. This manual includes suggestions for a correct use of the appliance and precious advices for your safety. If you have any doubts, please contact the retailer, who will be able to help you and advise you correctly.
NOTE Check that all parts of the product have not been damaged during the shipment. In
case of damage do not use the product and contact the retailer for further instructions.
3. SAFETY WARNINGS
• After having removed the appliance from its packaging, verify its integrity based on the drawing and check for any damage caused during transport. If in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact the local retailer. Do not let children play with the packaging! Keep the plastic wrapping out of the reach of children; risk of suffocation!
• Before connecting the appliance, check that the mains voltage data reported on the identification plate corresponds to that of the available electric mains. The identification plate is attached to the appliance.
• This appliance is intended exclusively as a heating pad for home use. Any other use is improper and potentially dangerous.
• When using for the first time, you may notice a nasty odour due to the synthetic materials.
• Checking the heating pad outside with your hands must not be taken into account as this may give a misleading result of the heat emitted.
• The appliance is not to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensorial or mental abilities, or with no experience or knowledge, unless supervised by a person responsible for their safety, supervision or after having received instructions regarding its use. Children must be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance. Do not use the appliance for ill people, for infants or for persons who are insensitive to heat. This appliance must not be used by children if the control devices have not been set beforehand by a parent or guardian or if the child has not been properly instructed on how to use the device safely.
AVWARNING – NOT suitable for children under the age of 3. Children under the age of 3 must not use the appliance as they are unable to react in the event of overheating.
DO NOT activate the temperature control with wet hands.
DO NOT pull the power cord or the appliance itself to remove the plug from the socket.
DO NOT immerse the power cord and the remote control.
• Always disconnect the appliance from the mains before cleaning or performing maintenance and when the appliance is not in use.
• In case of a fault or malfunctioning of the appliance, switch it off and do not tamper with it. If the appliance needs to be repaired, contact an authorised technical service centre.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by an authorised technical service centre, so as to prevent all risks.

• The appliance must be used solely with the types of control indicated on the label.
• DO NOT place the remote control (1) or the power cable underneath or on top of the heating pad when the appliance is turned on.
DO NOT use the folded appliance.
• Before storage, let the appliance cool before folding it.
DO NOT leave clothes inside the appliance if folded.
• Inspect the appliance frequently to check for signs of wear and tear. If such signs are found or if the appliance has been used incorrectly, contact an authorised technical assistance centre before continuing to use it.
• Persons with pacemakers must not use the appliance.
• This appliance is not intended for medical use inside of hospitals.
DO NOT use the appliance if it is wet or in locations with an high level of humidity (e.g., bathroom).
DO NOT use the appliance to keep animals warm.
DO NOT leave the appliance running while you sleep.
• If the device is used for an extended period, the selector should be placed on the level 1-2 (minimun heat).
DO NOT use the appliance on swollen or painful parts of the body.
• Immediately switch the device off if you feel pain during the use.
DO NOT use the device if highly flammable gases are present in the air.
NEVER use the device near to a gas source.
DO NOT place on the device flammable materials or materials that easily deteriorate due to the heat (e.g., carton, plastic, paper, candles).
NEVER expose the appliance to other heat sources (such as burners or ovens), sub-zero temperatures, direct sunlight, humidity.
DO NOT INSERT PINS OR NEEDLES.
• Application of the appliance for a long time at high temperature can burn the skin.
WARNING! In case of improper use, exist the risk of possible injuries.
