Connecting to a laptop:
1. Connect one of the blue connector of the Y-cable to the VGA port of laptop (It will
have the word “PC” on the blue connector).Then connect usb power cable into laptop
usb port.
2. Plug the black end (It will have “SCAN CNVTR” word) of the Y-cable to the
converter.
3. Plug the USB power cable (the gray one) into DC IN (for the USB power cable)
and plug the AV cable (the yellow one) to the Video Out port. Then connect another
end of the AV cable to a TV.

PS: Please connect with other cables if you want other signal output
(S-Video,RGB,YCbCr).
4. Please switch the correct YCbCr/RGB/CVBS output on PCTV 1600.
5. Press “F4” and “Fn” to switch signal. Note: different laptop models have different
F# key to switch signal. Please consult with your laptop manual or manufacturer.

4.1 Input/Output Connections
a. SCAN CNVTR: VGA signal input/output. Connect to the Y cable.
b. RGB OUT: Output RGB signal.
c. S-VIDEO OUT: Output S-VIDEO signal connects to TV or VCR.
d. VIDEO OUT: Output VIDEO signal, connects to TV or VCR.
e. DC IN: Connect USB power cable, obtains power from USB port on PC
f. Y.Cb.Cr OUT: Output Y.Cb.Cr signal, connects to TV or VCR.

4.2 Buttons and Switches
POWER: Power Switch.
NTSC/PAL: NTSC/PAL button switches between different TV
Standards.
MENU: Displays the OSD menu on screen. Main menu controls the
ZOOM: Switches on-screen video between 2x ZOOM and normal.
RESET: Resets all functions to factory standard settings.
Y.Cb.Cr/RGR/CVBS: Switches between different output modes.
CVBS: Switches to CVBS for Composite Video and S-Video output mode.
RGB: Switches to RGB for RGB output mode.
Y.Cb.Cr : Switches to Y.Cb.Cr for Component Video mode.

4.3 Remote Control
a. POWER: Power switch.
b. RESET: Resets all functions to factory
standard settings.
c. N/P: NTSC/PAL button switches between
different TV Standards.
d. ZOOM: Switches on-screen video from
normal to 2x zoom.
e. M: Displays the OSD menu on screen.
Main menu controls: H-SIZE, V-SIZE,
FREEZE, BRIGHTNESS, CONTRAST,
HUE, SATURATION, FLICKER,
OSD BACKGROUND, RESET.
f. FINE TUNE: Reduces on-screen video
shaking.
g. FREEZE: Freezes on-screen TV image.
h. : Tilts screen UP.
i. : Tilts screen DOWN.
j. : Pans screen to the LEFT.
k. : Pans screen to the RIGHT.

4.4 OSD MENU
1. H-SIZE: Adjusts the horizontal size of on-screen video.
2. V-HIZE: Adjust the vertical size of on-screen video.
3. FREEZE: Freezes current TV screen.
4. BRIGHTNESS: Adjusts the video brightness 64 degrees. (Default
value is 32).
5. CONTRAST: Adjusts the video contrast 64 degrees. (Default
value is 32).
6. HUE: Adjusts the video HUE 64 degrees. (Default value is 32).
7. SATURATION: Adjust the video saturation 64 degrees. (Default
value is 32).
8. FLICKER: The Flicker filter controls the width and height of the
edge enhancement.
9. OSD BACKGROUND: Switches the OSD background color.
10. RESET: Resets all functions to factory standard settings.
