Using the cooking zones
EKE 854.1 / EKE 804.2 / EKE 604.2
Touch the sensor pad for approx. 2 seconds. The LED display
above the pad will then light up and the appliance will go
into operation (standby mode).
The standby mode automatically switches itself off, if
- no cooking zone is activated within 20 minutes (after 10
or if
- the appliance is not used for 10 minutes after starting

seconds an acoustic signal will indicate that the appliance
will switch itself off after a further 10 seconds)

The cooking setting
You have 9 cooking settings available.
Select the required cooking setting with the plus or minus
pad. The setting will be indicated in the display.
The "0" position is visible for about 2 seconds after the
appliance switches off.
If you touch the plus pad, the cooking zone starts at cooking
setting 5, without boost.
When the minus pad is touched the cooking zone will start at
setting 9 and the automatic boost is automatically switched
on.
Switching off a cooking zone:
Touch the plus and minus pads simultaneously.

Operating time in seconds
The temperature of the cooking zones is time-adjusted, in the same way as the energy control
unit. Depending on the cooking setting, the corresponding cooking zone will be switched on or
off as described in the following table.

This means, for instance, that at cooking setting 6 the control unit is switched on for 14 seconds
and is then switched off for 33 seconds. Thus the total amount of time is 47 seconds. Then the
process starts again.
