ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Cultipacker Frame
Mounting Hole
5/8” Nut & Lock Washer
5/8” Flat Washer (Large)
Cup Washer

Read the complete assembly instructions before starting the assembly.
You should have:
- one cultipacker assembly
- one wheel kit ( optional)
- one 3-point k it (optional)
The standard pull type Model TP2148, TP2760 and T P 3272 Cultipacker s ar e fully asse mbl ed and
ready for use aft er unc rating. If the optional whe el kit was purchased with the cultipacker pl eas e s ee
Section A for ass embly instructions. If the optional 3-point kit was purchased with the cultipacker
please see Section B for asse mbl y i nstructions .
CAUTION: Removing the cultipacker f rom the crate should be perform ed with caution.
Care should be t aken to prevent back injuries or other lifting r elated injuries.
A. ASSEMBLY OF OPTIONAL WHEEL KIT (See Figure 1)
1. Remove the 5/ 8” nut and lock washer from each wh eel as sembly. All ot her hardware sh ould
stay on the wheel as s embly in the order that is shown in Figure 1.
2. Insert the end of t he wheel asse mbl y bolt through the cul t ipacker f r ame and install and
securely fasten the 5/8” nut and lock washer that was removed in Step 1.

B. ASSEMBLY OF OPTIONAL 3-POINT KIT (See Figure 2)

1. Remove the two 1/2” nuts, lock washers and bolts from each low er 3-point pin bracket.
2. Install each lower 3-point pin bracket on t he c ultipacker frame as shown in Fi gur e 2. Fasten
securely with the 1/2” nuts, loc k washers and bolts that were r emoved in Step 1.
Note: T he lower 3-point pins are m ounted in the lower hole from the f ac tory. This pos ition
is for use with st andard 3-point systems. T he upper hole on the 3-point pin brack et
can be used to accommodate quick hitch systems. The 3-point pins can be moved
to the alternate position b y simply removing the nut, lock was her and flat washer s
and securely fas tening them in the alternate location.
3. Install the up per top link pin.

OPERATIONS AND MAINTENENCE

A. USING THE TOOL
The Model TP2148, TP2760 & TP3272 have been designed to be a standar d pull type cultipacker
with the ability to have option al kits installed for use on multiple vehicl es .
Note: Transporting this cult ipacker on hard r oad type surfaces c an r esult in exc es s ive
packer wheel wear or possible pac ker wheel dam age.
With the optional wheel kit ins t al led this cult ipac ker has been designed to be flipped over on tires
for ease in transport.
CAUTION: Care should be taken when flipping the cultip ac ker over f or either use or
transport. Place one foot on the packer whee ls and securely hold when flip ping. Improper
flipping can r es ult in bodil y inj ury and/or property damage.
With the optional 3-point kit installed this c ultipacker has been designed t o wor k on Category 1
standard 3-point and quick hitch systems.
CAUTION: Care should be taken when either m ounting or removing the cultipacker fr om a
3-point system. Securely support the cultipac ker to prevent bodily inj ury and or property
damage.
Note: If both the wheel kit and 3-point kit were pur c hased, it wil l be necessary to remove
the wheel kit before operating the culti pac ker on a 3-point hit c h mount.
For best result s it may be necessary to pack the s oil before seeding and then pack the soil a
second time af ter seeding. This is especially true with small seeds that req uir e s hallow seeding.

B. MAINTENANCE
There are two gr eas e points on the c ultipacker . There is a bearing on each end of the packer
wheel shaft. It is r ec om m ended that these bearings be gr eas ed at least ev er y 4 ho ur s . In dusty
conditions more frequent gr eas ing may be necessary.
