Before use
• Place the appliance on a stable, heat
resistant surface. Place cord in the cord grove
in back of appliance (1) to ensure proper
stability.
Do not place the appliance on or near wet or
hot surfaces. Do not let the cord hang down
over a heat source or place appliance close
to flammable items.
• Open the appliance and remove any
packaging, stickers from both the inside and
the outside.
• Lightly coat the plates with vegetable oil or
non-stick cooking spray. Wipe with a soft
cloth. This will ensure convenient stick free
cooking.
Use instructions
When the appliance is used for the first time,
it may give off a slight odor and smoke, this is
normal. This should only occur on initial use.
• Close the appliance.
• Plug into the mains outlet. The power
indicator light (b) and the thermostat light (d)
will turn on (2).
• Select the desired temperature using the
thermostat (c). The thermostat light (d) will
go off (3).
• Once the appliance reaches the correct
temperature, the thermostat light (d) will
come on again. It will take approximately 46 minutes for the appliance to heat to
maximum temperature.
• Once temperature is reached, open the
appliance by the cool touch handle (a) and
place the food on the lower plate (f).
• Use plastic utensils on the non-stick plates.
Do not use metal utensils as they can
damage the non-stick plates.
• Close the appliance. The hinges (g) adjust
automatically according to the thickness of
the food (4). There is no need to press down
on the handle. The weight of the upper
plates will press down on item being grilled.
• Allow food to cook for the desired time. The
appliance can be opened at any time during
cooking to check on the progress of the
items being cooked.
• Some general grilling guidlelines are below.
Times will vary depending on thickness of
panini, meat and recipe specifications. Also
will vary by taste preference.

• Once cooking is complete, open the
appliance and remove food with nonmetallic utensils.
• After use, unplug the appliance and allow it
to cool completely before storage.
Practical hints
• For the meat and vegetables cooking, put
the thermostat on the maximum position;
use boneless meat.
• For sandwiches and panini cooking, put the
thermostat on medium position.
Cleaning
• Always disconnect the appliance before
cleaning, and leave to cool completely.
• Do not place the appliance in water or under
running water.
• To clean the exterior, wipe with a damp
cloth and dry.
LIMITED WARRANTY
This Krups product is warranted for 1 year from the date of purchase against
defects in material and workmanship. During this period, the Krups product
that, upon inspection by Krups, is proved defective, will be repaired or
replaced, at Krups' option, without charge to the customer. If a replacement
product is sent, it will carry the remaining warranty of the original product.
This warranty does not apply to any defect arising from a buyer's or user's
misuse of the product, negligence, failure to follow Krups' instructions, use
on current or voltage other than that stamped on the product, wear and
tear, alteration or repair not authorized by Krups, or use for commercial
purposes.
THE WARRANTIES SET FORTH HEREIN ARE EXCLUSIVE AND NO OTHER
WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY
WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
OR USE, ARE MADE BY KRUPS OR ARE AUTHORIZED TO BE MADE WITH
RESPECT TO THE PRODUCT.
Some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts
or do not allow the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the
above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific
legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to
state.
If you believe your product is defective, bring the product (or send it,
postage prepaid) along with proof of purchase to the nearest authorized
Krups Service Center. (Please contact your respective countries customer
service department, indicated below, for the address of the nearest
authorized Krups Service Center.)
If you send the product, please include a letter explaining the nature of the claimed
defect.
