575/576 Quick Start Guide
This guide helps you install and use your 575/576 for the first time.
Go to www.kramerav.com/downloads/575-576 to download the latest user manual and check if
firmware upgrades are available.
575 2-Wire Extra Range HD Transmitter /
576 2-Wire Extra Range HD Receiver
Press to reset the device.
Set the RS-232 baud rate (baud rate on 575 and 576 should be identical).
Lights green when the device is powered.
Connect to a local monitor.
Connect to an HDMI source.
Connect to the RJ-45 port on 576.

Connect to the 15-pin HD connector on 576.

Connect to the 2-pin terminal block connectors on 576.
RS-232 9-pin D-sub Connector
Bi-directional RS-232 between the devices, allowing control of the display
from the source end/control of a source from the display end.
+5V DC connector for powering the unit.

Connect to a stereo balanced audio acceptor.
RS-232 9-pin D-sub Connector
Bi-directional RS-232 between the devices, allowing control of the display
from the source end/control of a source from the display end.
+5V DC connector for powering the unit.
Install 575/576 using one of the following methods:
Attach the rubber feet and place the unit on a flat surface.
Fasten a bracket (included) on each side of the unit and attach it to a flat surface.

Mount the unit in a rack using an optional RK-T2B rack adapter.

Step 3: Install 575/576

There are no operator serviceable parts inside the unit.
Use only the Kramer Electronics power adapter that is provided with the unit.
Disconnect the power and unplug the unit from the wall before installing.

Step 4: Connect the inputs and outputs
Always switch OFF the power on each device before connecting it to your 575/576 devices. For best results, we recommend that
you always use Kramer high-performance cables to connect AV equipment to 575/576.
Step 5: Connect the power
Connect the 5V DC power adapters to 575/576 and plug it into the mains electricity.

Step 6: Operate 575/576
DIP-switch Setup:
A switch that is down is on; a switch that is up is off. By default, all the switches are up (off).
