3 Overview
Using the VPN-11 UXGA / Component Transmitter with the VPN-12 UXGA /
Component Receiver, constitutes a UXGA / Component transmitter / receiver
system. The VPN-11 receives either a YUV signal or a UXGA4 signal
(selectable), transmits it via the coaxial cable to the VPN-12. The VPN-12
receives the signal at the LINE INPUT, amplifies it and distributes it to the
output.

5 Connecting a UXGA / Component Distribution System
To configure a VPN-11 / VPN-12 UXGA/Component distribution system as
the example in Figure 5 illustrates, do the following:
1. On the VPN-11, connect a component video source (for example, a DVD
player) to the Y/G, B-Y/B and R-Y/R RCA (component video) INPUT
connectors1.
2. On the VPN-12, connect the Y/G, B-Y/B and R-Y/R RCA (component video)
OUTPUT connectors to a component acceptor1 (for example, a plasma display).
3. Connect the LINE OUT 12-pole detachable terminal block connector of the
VPN-11 to the LINE INPUT 12-pole detachable terminal block connector
VPN-12, via coaxial cabling2 (maximum range of up to 10m).
4. On the VPN-11 unit connect a 12V DC power adapter to the power socket
and connect the adapter to the mains electricity. The VPN-12 unit receives its
power via the coaxial cable.
