3 Overview
The 6241HD 4x1 HD-SDI Switcher is a high-performance switcher for HD-SDI serial digital video signals. It takes any one of four HD-SDI inputs, provides reclocking and equalization, and outputs the signal to one HD-SDI output.
The 6241HD features:
A maximum data rate up to 1.485Gbps
HDTV compatibility
SMPTE 259M, 344M and 292M compliance
Adjustment-free operation
Automatic equalization for losses on 75 coaxial cable

Reclocking the input si gnal to provide a low-jitter serial digital
output
8-bit and 10-bit video operation, automatically recognizing the word
length
To achieve the best performance:
Use only good quality connection cables

Avoid interference from neighboring electrical appliances that
may adversely influence signal quality and position your Kramer 6241HD away from moisture, excessi ve sunli ght and dust
to avoid interference, deterioration in signal qualit y d ue to poor matching, and ele vated noise levels (often associa te d with low quality cables).

To connect your 6241HD 4x1 SDI Switcher, as illustrated in Figure 2:
1. Connect up to 4 serial digital video sources (for example, two HD-SDI digital broadc ast cam eras an d two digital video players) to the four serial digital video IN BNC connectors

2. Connect the serial digital video OUT BNC connector to the serial digital video acceptor (for example, an HD-SDI digita l m onitor ).

3. Connect the 5V DC power adapter to the power socket and connect the adapter to the m ains el ect rici ty . Pressing an INPU T SELECTOR butt on routes that ser ial digital video input to the serial digit al v ideo outpu t.

Except as below, this warranty covers all defects in material or workmanship in this product. The following are not covered by the warranty:

1. To obtain service on you product, you must take or ship it prepaid to any authorized Kramer service center.
2. Whenever warranty service is required, the original dated invoice (or a copy) must be presented as proof of warranty
coverage, and should be included in any shipment of the product. Please also include in any mailing a contact name, company, address, and a description of the problem(s).
3. For the name of the nearest Kramer authorized service center, consult your authorized dealer.
All implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration to the length of this warranty.

Servicing the machines can only be done by an authorized Kramer technician. Any user who makes changes or modifications to the unit without the expressed approval of the manufacturer will void user authority to operate the equipment.
