Koolance CPU-330 Installation Guide v1.00
Installing Nozzles
Attach two G 1/4 nozzles
to the cooling block.
Nozzles sold separately.
Temperature Sensor
CAUTION: Be sure to attach the Koolance temperature probe to the CPU cooler
during installation. The safety features of your system may not function properly
!
without the correct placement of this probe, and hardware damage can result.
Remove the protective fi lm from the CPU cooling block.
Place the temperature sensor on or
near the edge of the gold block. We
recommend placing it on the edge.
The sensor is required for proper
fan speed control and system safety
features.
DO NOT attempt to install the temperature
probe in between the processor and
cooler. Despite its thin size, it will interfere
with CPU contact or burn-out the sensor.
Apply metal tape to keep the temperature probe in place. DO NOT
stick metal tape or the temperature probe where the processor
comes in contact with the cooler.
Y ou can use a zip-tie to further secure the temperature probe wire
to the CPU tubing.

AMD Socket 939, 754, & 940 Processors
Remove the black plastic retention frame from
the motherboard. Generally, this is held in place
with 2 metal screws.
Attach screws into the back bracket included
with the motherboard. Use the Koolance screw
extensions if needed or desired.
Other Socket Processors
If your motherboard doesn’t already have a back bracket,
you must use the one provided. The socket of your
processor will determine which screw confi guration to use
(See diagrams on next page).
Attach the screws in the appropriate screw confi guration.
Place the rubber pad on the back bracket.
Feed the back bracket screw posts through the rear side
of the CPU socket

Installing Cooler
Apply thermal paste to the CPU directly. Spread the paste so
that it evenly covers the CPU. A piece of thick paper (such as a
business card) works well for this.
Place the CPU cooler on top of the
processor. The temperature sensor should
already be installed on the cooler.
Place the mounting bracket over the CPU
cooler. The cooler should fi t snugly and
the mounting bracket should align with the
screws posts.
Use either 2 or 4 springs and thumb nuts (depending on socket type) to secure the cooler against
the processor.
CAUTION: Be sure not to over-tighten by hand. Too much tension may damage
!
the processor or motherboard.
