Sending a fax
Set the document in the
ADF face up and adjust
the document guides.
Adjust resolution and contrast,
if necessary.

Enter the fax number using the numeric keypad

Press the one-touch key*1

SPEED DIAL
/TEL INDEX
and enter the threedigit identifier for the speed-dial number using
the numeric keypad.
You can set up to 50 sheets of A4, A5 or F4 sized
documents in the ADF at one time.
*1: When you press a one-touch key, you do not need
to press
START
.
Enter the fax number.

Press START.

Press COPY/FAX to change
to Fax mode.

Press DOCUMENT SIZE to
select the document size.
Adjust resolution and contrast,
if necessary.

Press COPY/FAX to change
to Fax mode.

Place the document on the platen
glass face down and align it to the
right front corner.
Close the platen cover.

For ways to enter the fax number,
refer to step 3 on page 2.
Enter the fax number.

Press START.

If you want to send more pages,
place the next page, then press NEXT DOC.
When you have finished scanning all
pages, press
START
If there’s a document in the ADF,
remove it.
Open the platen cover.

ADF face up, or on the
platen glass face down.
Adjust the document type and the
contrast, if necessary.

Enter the fax number using the numeric keypad.

SPEED DIAL/TEL INDEX and enter the three-digit identifier for
the speed-dial number using the numeric keypad.
Press COPY/FAX to change
to Fax mode.

Enter the fax number.
To add more fax numbers,
repeat step 3 and 4.

Cancel sending a fax
Press to see the individual numbers
within the broadcast.
Press
or until you find the number
you want to cancel.
Press COMM.CANCEL
/CONFIRM

shown, press CANCEL, CANCEL.
If you want to cancel another command, go back to step 2.

Making a copy
Press COPY RESET to clear
the previously entered copy
settings.
Press COPY/FAX to change
to Copy mode.

Press START.

Adjust the following,
if necessary.
• Select the document size by
pressing the
DOCUMENT SIZE.
• Select the document type and
the contrast.

Set the document in the
ADF face up, or on the
platen glass face down.

Enter the number of
copies using the
numeric keypad.

If you want to stop copying,
press STOP.
