Toner Recycling Mechanism

With the bizhub 423/363/283/223 you can recycle
untransferred toner to reduce the generation
of toner waste.

The cleaning blade removes all toner that is not
transferred from the photoconductor and carries
it through the recycle duct to the developing unit.

In 2000, Konica Minolta introduced the revolutionary new
Simitri toner, the world’s first polymerised toner for digital
monochrome multifunction devices, made from biomass,
a plant-based resource. The result is perfect images

device in its class in standby mode. High performance
doesn’t mean high noise levels, with the ADF featuring

This time-saving function enables you to scan a
document and send the data to several destinations
at once, including PCs, email addresses, and more.

Scan to SMB

Send scanned data directly to a shared folder on a PC.

Scan to FTP/WebDAV

Send large or multiple documents to a server
to make saving and sharing easier and quicker.

Scan to Box

Send documents to the Box, from which they can
be sent or shared.

Scan to USB Memory

Scan documents directly to an attached USB device
for even greater convenience and security.

Scan to E-mail

Send documents to e-mail addresses as attachments.
This function is compatible with S/MIME encryption
and LDAP to retrieve addresses easily.

Searchable PDF*

You can save scanned documents as PDF files
with selected text and data using Optical Character
Recognition (OCR) processing. You can also search
for keywords in the PDF text, and copy and paste the
desired text into other applications.

Compact PDF

The Compact PDF function can automatically separate
a large file into text and photo areas, to reduce the size
of PDF files for easier saving and sending. Image quality
is preserved as per the original.

PageScope Web Connection

Information on the device’s status and settings

PageScope Workware

This manages data as PDF files to enable easy
editing, processing and searching.

Box Function

Quick Start

The bizhub 423 series is capable of a warm-up time of
just 12 seconds or less when in Sleep Mode, and a first
copy output time of just 3.6 seconds or less. This ensures
greater productivity and reduced energy consumption.

Duplex/n-in-1 Copy & Print

Save paper and reduce print costs by using the n-in-1
function to print up to 16 pages on one sheet, or 8 pages for
copying. The optional Reverse ADF makes duplex copying
and printing a breeze, again saving on costs and paper.

Network Print

Konica Minolta’s proprietary Emperon print controller
enables standard network printing, whatever the combination
of operating systems you may have on your network.

Paper Capacity

There are two 500-sheet universal trays and a 150-page
multi-bypass tray as standard, for a maximum paper capacity
of 3,650 sheets with the PC-409 Paper Feed Cabinet.
The multi-bypass tray can handle stocks up to 210gm/m,
providing even greater choice in finished document options.

fax solutions

The bizhub 423 series keeps information flowing with a range
of advanced fax features, while keeping costs to a minimum.

IP Address Fax

Send a colour or monochrome fax to any SMTP-compatible
device or bizhub on the network that supports IP Fax,
by simply selecting an IP address. This feature uses existing
network systems and does not incur additional costs.

TSI Routing

Transmitting Subscriber Identification (TSI) recognises
and sorts faxes by sender, whether they are individuals
or organisations. All faxes from each sender can be
automatically received and stored in a folder in the Box.
Faxes can be sent separately to an e-mail, FTP or SMB
server, providing extra convenience for users absent
from the office.

Colour Internet Fax

This standard feature enables cost-efficient
transmission of colour and monochrome faxes to any
multifunction device that supports Profile C standard,
including those outside the intranet. This method takes
advantage
of your pre-existing internet infrastructure, helping
to reduce costs even further.

PC Fax*

The bizhub 423 series enables users to send data
directly from a PC to any fax, cutting paper waste
and reducing total cost of ownership because it is
not necessary to print before faxing.

Extra Fax Functions

Super G3 Fax (optional) – Send high-speed, high
quality images by fax, with exceptional cost performance.

Spam Fax Protection – Incoming faxes can
be stored temporarily on the HDD as thumbnails
and checked before printing.

Multi-Port Fax (optional) – Send faxes to two
destinations at once.

Address Registration – Store up to 2,000 individual
and 100 group addresses and fax numbers for quick

Total security

Biometric Authentication*

This authentication process scans
the unique finger veins of users so
that only registered users may operate
the multifunction device. This means
that cards and passwords are no
longer required, making the job of
administrators much easier and

simplifying the process for users.

Non-Contact IC Card Authentication*

Pre-existing employee cards can be used
with this security method so extra cards
are not necessary. IC cards may also be
used to authenticate or restrict entry to
certain rooms or floors for added security.

User Authentication

There is a standard authentication system in the body of the
bizhub 423 series. For situations where there are no servers,
users and departments can set permission for greater control
of output and reductions in costs.

Copy Security*
(Copy Guard and Password Copy)

Documents can be copied or printed with a special
security pattern when Copy Guard is used, to prevent
unauthorised copies. This function can be cancelled
with the use of a password to allow the document
to be copied again.

PageScope Enterprise Suite

The web-based PageScope Enterprise Suite was developed
to streamline the management and administration of the
device, thereby controlling costs. Five optional modules
simplify tasks that were once time consuming.

1. PageScope Authentication Manager

This enables simple and efficient setting of authentication
data for each user for multiple multifunction devices on a
network. User management is integrated and streamlined.

2. PageScope Account Manager

This simplifies aggregate analysis and management
of network devices. Analysing detailed usage conditions,
estimating costs and graphing the aggregate results help
to reduce unnecessary costs and to manage costs on
a group basis.

3. Pagescope My Panel Manager

The control panel setting desired by each user can be
customised and simultaneously stored in multiple bizhubs.

4. PageScope Net Care Device Manager

System administrators can create initial settings for devices
managed by PSES for streamlined device control.

5. Pagescope My Print Manager

Documents can be released from any managed device
to facilitate printing, so it is not necessary to check for
the nearest device when sending a print job.
