Recommendedlubricantsforyourimplementarelistedinthemaintenancechapter.
WARRANTY
Yourimplementiswarrantedaccordingtolegalrightsinyourcountryandthecontractualagreementwiththeselling
dealer.Nowarrantyshall,however,applyiftheimplementhasnotbeenused,adjustedandmaintainedaccordingto
theinstructionsgiveninthisoperator'smanual.
Itisprohibitedtocarryoutanymodicationstotheimplementunlessspecicallyauthorized,inwriting,bya

CLEANINGYOURIMPLEMENT
Whenyouuseahighpressurewasher,donotstandtooclosetotheimplementandavoiddirectingthejetatelectronic
components,electricalconnections,breathers,seals,llercaps,andsoon.
Cleandecalsonlywithasoftcloth,waterandagentledetergent.DONOTusesolvent,gasolineorotherharsh
chemicalstocleandecals.Decalscouldberemovedorgetdamaged.
DISASSEMBLYORSCRAPPING
Whenyourimplementistakenoutofservicebecauseitisdamagedbeyondrepairorhasreachedtheendofits
usefullife,disassembly,scrappingand/orrecyclingofcomponentsmustbeperformedonlybyaqualiedtechnician
withserviceinstructions,andincompliancewithlocallawandregulations.

Thediscmowercansolelycutonthegroundnatural
orplantedgrassandstemcropsforanimalfeeding
purposes.Thediscmowerlaysthematerialinaswath,
whichallowsthesubsequentpick-upofthematerial.
Theworkmustoccurunderreasonableconditions,or
thoroughagriculturalknowledgeandauthorisedoperation,onanormalcultivationthathasareasonableextensionwithoutforeignmatterandthelike.Theperformance

standneartheimplement.
Beforetheimplementsleavethefactory,theimplements
haveatestforvibrations.Thisisanessentialpartofthe
companyqualityassurance.
Itis,however,necessarytocheckregularlywhetherthe
implementhasunnaturalvibrations,especiallyduringtest
driving.
NOTICE:Whendiscsandbladesrotatewith3000RPM,

thecuttingunitcanejectstonesandforeignmatterinthe
eld.Thereforenopersonsshouldstandnearthecuttingunitwheretheconditionsareunknown.Beparticularlycarefulwhenyouworkalongpublicroadsorfacilities
(schools,parks,etceteras).

DisconnectthePTOimmediatelywhenthefrictionclutch
slipsandndthereasonfortheoverloadofthetransmission.
Afteryouhaveworkedwiththeimplementforalongtime,
thecutterbarwillhaveatemperatureofabout80°C
(176.00°F).Therefore,beawareoftheriskofgetting
burntifyouwanttoreplacebladesorotherparts.

AlwaysdisengagethePowerTake-Off(PTO)driveshaft,
activatetheparkingbrakeandstopthetractorenginebeforeyou:
Lubricatetheimplement.

Cleantheimplement.
•
Disassembleanypartoftheimplement.
•
Adjusttheimplement.
•
NOTE:Iftheimplementisconnectedtothetractorand
raisedduringtherepairandmaintenance,securethelink
armswiththesupportchains.
Observetherecommendedgreasing,replacementandinspectionintervalstopreventsecondarydamages.
Onlyuseoriginalsparepartstoavoidunintentionalrisks
anddamages.
Installtheusedsparepartscorrectlyandtorqueallthe
boltsandnutstothecorrecttighteningtorque.
Beforeuse,checktherevolvingparts(blades,bladebolts,
discsandowcaps).Replacedamaged(bentorcracked),
wornormissingpartsimmediately.
Duringtheseasoncheckdailythatnoblades,carriers,or
boltsaremissing.Ifanyofthesepartsaremissing,install
themissingpartsbeforeyoucontinuethework.
Whenreplacingblades,bothbladesonthediscinquestionmustbereplacedasnottocreateanunbalance.
Whenyoureplacetheblades,itisimportanttoobserve
therulesintheinstructionmanualtofullthesafetyrequirements.Alwaysuseoriginalspareparts.
Canvasesandguardssecureagainstejectionofstones
andforeignmatter.Beforeuse,installthecanvasesand
theguardscorrectly .
Checkcanvasesandguardsregularly.Replacewornor
damagedcanvases.
Tubes,hoses,electricalwiring,etceterathatarewornor
damagedmustbereplacedimmediately.
Retightenscrewsandboltsonyournewimplementafter
somehoursofoperationandafterarepair.
Greasetheimplementbeforeyoustarttheoperations.
Thisisalsonecessarybeforeyouusetheimplementthe
rsttime.
Checkandairthefrictionclutchregularlytoensurethat
thefrictionclutchdoesnotrust.

Hydraulicsystem
Whenreplacepartsofthehydraulicsystem,alwaysmake
surethatthecuttingunitrestsontheground.
Remembertorelievetheoilpressurebeforeyouworkwith
thehydraulicsystem.
Hydraulichosesmustbecheckedbeforeeachuse,and
minimumonceayear.Ifnecessary,replacethehydraulic
hoses.Allhosesaremarkedwithdateofproduction.The
workinglifeofhydraulichosesshouldnotexceed6years,
includingmaximum2yearsofstorage.
Whenyoureplacehoses,alwaysusehoseswhichcomply
withtherequirementsstatedbythemanufacturer.
PowerTake-Off(PTO)driveshaft
PayspecialattentiontotheslidingproletubesofthePTO
shaft(1)betweenthePTOofthetractorandthecentre
gearboxoftheimplement.Theproletubesmustbeable
toslidebackandforthwhenthetorqueisheavy.Ifthe
proletubesdonotslideeasily,themovementofthecuttingunitislimitedandthegroundfollowingabilitiesare
reduced.
Theproletubesinthisshaftconstantlymoveinrelation
toeachotherduringthework.Thereforetheimplement
isequippedwithaspecialshaftinwhichthetubescan
begreasedfromtheoutsidebymeansofacentrallypositionedgreasetting(2),withouthavingtoseparatethe
shaft.
Alwayslubricatetheslidingproletubessufciently,to
avoidhighfrictionalforces(seizing)whichwilldamage
theproletubesandintimealsoconnectingshaftsand
gearboxes.
Unlesstheprotectiveguards,thePTOdriveshaftmay
causeseriousinjury.Keepalltheguardsinapropercondition.Allthesafetyguardmustbeintact.Inspectthe
guardsfrequently.Replacethedefectiveguardimmediately.
Alwaysmakesurethattheslidingsurfacesoftheguard
tubesarecleanandtheguardbearingslubricated.
Whenyoureplacewornordamagedsectionsofthe
guard,usespecialtoolsavailablefromthemanufacturer.

2.Checktheclutchdiscs(1)forwearandreplaceif

3.Cleanandgreasethefreewheelclutch(2).

5.Tightenthebolts(3)justsomuchthatthemetal
band(4)canbeturned(maximum0.5mm

aspossibleandmaximumwithatoleranceof3mm
(0.12in).Testthedeviationbyplacingarightangleon
theangeat(3).
Lockthebolts(3)withLOCTITE®243™.Torquethe
bolts(3)to48N·m(35.40lbft).

jarringsounds.

NOTICE:Thediscsrunatupto3000RPM,andonebro-
kenblademaycauseseriousinjurytopersonsormaterialdamageresultingfromunbalance.Ifyouworkwitha
modernclosedcabin,thesymptomsmaybedifculttodiscover,andonceinawhileyouhavetogetoutandcheck
ifallbladesandrotorngersareintact.Inthelongrununbalancewillcausefatiguefracturesandseriousdamage.
Alltheimplementshavebeenmanufactured,testedand
checkedforvibrationswithspecialtools.
Toavoiddamagecausedbyvibrations,fastenthecutter
barproperlytotheframe.
Tofastenthecutterbar,removetheoutermostguide
shoes(1).Re-tightenthenutsonthebolts(2)thatgo
throughbothcutterbarandframe.
Onthe6-boltcutterbaritisM10boltswhichmustbe
tightenedto75N·m(663.81lbin).
NOTE:Theboltsthatareplacedwheretherearecarvings
intheframeshouldnotberetightened.Theseareonlyintendedtoholdthecutterbartogetheranddonotgothrough

Whentheseasonisover,preparetheimplementforthe
storageimmediately.
Topreparetheimplementforwinterstorage:
1.Cleantheimplementthoroughly.Dustanddirtabsorb
moistureandmoistureincreasestheformationofrust.
2.Storetheimplementinadryplace,protectedagainst
windandweatherinthebestpossibleway.
3.Greaseallgreasettingsafteryoucleantheimplement,accordingtothe“Maintenancechart”.
4.Checktheimplementfordamagedparts,loosescrewjoints,leakage,wearandotherdefectscarefullybefore
thestorage.Ifthereisanydamage,itmaybeforgotten
duringthestorageandresultinproblemsthefollowing
season.Notedownthenecessarypartsyouwillneed
beforethenextseasonandorderthespareparts.
5.DismountthePowerTake-Off(PTO)shafts,lubricate
theproletubesandkeeptheminadryplace.
6.Spraytheimplementwithacoatofrust-preventingoil.
7.Partspolishedwithuseandthepistonrodsofthehydrauliccylindermaygetrusty.Cleanandbrushwith
greasepartspolishedwithuseandthepistonrodsto
protectagainstwindandweather.
8.Changetheoilinthehydraulicsystem,thecutterbar
andthegearboxes.
9.Supporttheimplementtorelievetheweightfromthe
tires.Leavetiresinated.Tireandrubbercomponents
lifewillbeextendedifprotectedfromsunlightduring
storage.
NOTE:Periodiccheckswillhelptokeepyourimplement
maintenanceandrepairstoaminimumandavoidcostly
breakdownsduringtheseason.Therefore,itisgoodpracticetohavetheimplementinspectedattheendoftheseason.
