1 INTRODUCTION
This document is a high level user instruction for KONE Wibe wireless BLE sensor board

3 DEVICE DESCRIPTION
• KONE Wibe is a wireless sensor board with Bluetooth (BLE) connection intended to be used in
elevator doors for measuring and storing information about the condition and use of doors.
4 KONE WIBE INSTALLATION
• KONE Wibe shall only be installed to Kone elevators
• KONE Wibe shall be installed permanently to the elevator door
• KONE Wibe shall be supplied with 3V Lithium coin cell battery and is not electrically connected
any parts of the Kone elevator system
5 USE OF KONE WIBE DEVICE
• Only Kone maintenance personnel have access to the device.
• The device operates independently in the elevator and has a single button for setting up the
functionality
• The device will allow BLE connection to a device which is programmed to the system.
• The device supports only BLE data transfer connection and doesn’t support voice call
• The system does not support emergency call e.g. 112 or 911.
Warning: It is recommend a minimum separation distance (20 cm at minimum) between the device
and nearby persons.

7 BATTERY SAFETY
• replacement of a battery with an incorrect type that can defeat a safeguard (for example in the
case of some lithium battery types);
• disposal of a battery into fire or a hot oven, or mechanically crushing or cutting of a battery, that
can result in an explosion;
• leaving a battery in an extremely high temperature surrounding environment that can result in
an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas;
• a battery subjected to extremely low air pressure that may result in an explosion or the leakage
of flammable liquid or gas.
