Before carrying out any work on the saw, e.g. setting the guide plate etc., always remove
the battery pack .
Never remove sawdust or splinters whilst the saw is running – always switch off the saw and
remove the battery pack
When you are using the circular saw always wear ear protectors and protective glasses. Protective
first.
gloves, robust non-slip shoes, and a protective apron are also recommended.
Every time before using the circular saw make sure that you check it for any damage. If any parts
are damaged have them fixed or replaced at a specialist repair centre.
Have a suitable tested vacuum device attached to the saw when working for long periods on
woods or plastics that create dusts that are hazardous to health. For working with wood in a closed space (interiors) a suitable dust collection device or a suitable dust protection must be used. (safety tested)
Be sure to use the integrated protection devices of the manual saw, e.g. the blade protectors .Before every use, check that the saw blade cover moves freely.Do not allow persons under 16 years of age to use the circular saw.Move the blade cover using the lever only. As the saw is placed on to the material to be cut,
the blade cover moves back automatically. The blade cover is not to be fixed in the open position. In addition you should ensure that all moving parts of the saw blade cover function properly and all the assemblies and components involved in covering the saw blade are in perfect working order.
Look out for recoil of saw or work piece when carrying out dip cuts.Secure round timber against turning.Do not cut materials containing asbestos.Ensure that the parameters of the saw blade, e.g. the diameter, thickness and other technical
details are suitable for the workpiece.
Ensure that the saw blade is suitable for the saw speed.Cracked or distorted blades are not to be used. HSS (High Speed Steel) saw blades are not to be
used.
When you are sawing always make sure that you do not cut through any nails, screws or the like.Set the distance between the riving knife and the tips of the saw blade teeth to a max. 5 mm,
and set the distance between the tip of the riving knife and the lowest point of the saw blade to max. 5 mm.
The riving knife is only to be removed for plunge cutting. When you switch off the saw do not use additional braking methods or press against the saw
blade side to bring it to a standstill.
Note: Do not touch the saw blade teeth – danger of cutting injury.
POWERFUL - THE FAST CHARGER
Important safety advice for the charger and the battery pack
If you come into contact with alkali from the battery pack, wash off the alkali thoroughly with water. If alkali gets into your eyes, flush them out with water and seek immediate medical attention.
01.Read and take note of the operating instructions and this safety advice for the charger and the
battery pack before use.
02.Warning: Use only the charger and battery pack supplied by the manufacturer. Use of any other
can be hazardous.
03.Protect the charger, battery pack and electrical equipment from moisture, e.g. rain or snow.
04.Always check before using the charging device that the mains has been connected properly.
05.The charging device must be switched off immediately if you discover any damage to the mains.
Make sure that the damaged mains connection is replaced immediately.
06.When you are not using the charger, remove the plug from the mains socket. Do not pull the plug
with the mains connection.

07.If the tool is dropped or otherwise subjected to mechanical stress, you should have it examined
by an appropriate specialist for damage before using it again. Damaged parts must be repaired.
08.Handle the battery pack carefully. Do not let it fall or be subject to impact.
09.Do not attempt to repair the charger or the battery pack yourself. Repairs must always be carried
out by an appropriate specialist. Not complying with this can lead to danger.
10.Always remove the plug from the mains socket before you clean or maintain the charger or the battery pack.
11.Do not charge the battery pack if the ambient temperature is less than 10 ° C or greater than 40 ° C.
12.Air must be able to flow freely around the charger.
13.Do not short circuit the battery pack. A short circuit gives rise to a heavy current. This could lead to overheating or bursting of the storage battery pack. Any of these can cause damage to the battery pack or danger to the user. Therefore:
· Do not connect a cable to the battery pack terminals.
· Make sure that no metal objects (nails, paperclips, coins etc.) find their way into the battery pack charging socket.
· Do not expose the battery pack to water or rain.
14.A damaged battery pack or one which no longer holds its charge must be disposed of specially and not placed in normal household rubbish.
15.Never throw the battery pack into fire or water. This can cause it to explode.
tion and removal of your battery pack
Inser
Before removing the battery pack from the charger or inserting it into the charger, always ensure the plug is not in the mains socket.
When attaching the battery pack, the groove in the battery pack must align with the guide on the cordless circular saw. The battery pack should insert easily into the charger. Do not use any disproportionate force during insertion or the battery pack may not end up in its correct position. After the battery pack has been inserted check that the retaining clips have engaged and the battery pack is seated firmly in the charger. To remove the battery pack from the charger press the retaining clips on the sides of the battery pack and remove it.
ging the battery pack
Char
Before inserting the battery pack into the charger or removing it from the charger, always ensure the plug is not in the mains socket.
Insert the battery pack so that it is firmly held in the charger. Push the plug into the mains socket. The red charging light indicates that charging has begun. The red light will go out after about 1 hour. The green charging light lets you know when charging is complete and the battery pack is ready for use. If you wish to charge a second battery pack, pull out the plug from the mains supply and keep the charger off for at least 15 minutes. Then you can start to charge the second battery. If you do not remove the plug from the mains socket before the second charging process starts then the second battery cannot be charged.
WARNING!
• A new battery pack is not charged and must be fully charged before first use. Never charge the battery pack again immediately after a fast charging process has been completed. This can give rise to the battery pack being overcharged and a reduced life of the battery and charger.
• Switch off the charger for at least 15 minutes between charges by removing the plug from the mains socket.
• If you use a multiway socket adapter, unplug all other electrical equipment from the adapter.
