Important!

Read these instructions for use carefully so as to familiarize yourself with the appliance before connecting it to
the gas container. Keep these instructions for future reference. Pass the instructions on to whoever might
acquire this appliance at a future date.

Safety instructions

• Children cannot recognise the risks that are present
when operating gas appliances, therefore, keep
children away from it and never leave the appliance
unsupervised.

• Place the gas cooker on a level and stable surface,
and maintain a minimum distance of 25 cm on all
sides to walls and other objects as well as a mini­mum free distance of 120 cm above it.
Ensure that the air circulation from below is not
and cannot be hindered.

• Only use the gas cooker outdoors!

• Avoid direct sunlight and proximity to other sources
of heat or strong wind.

• In a car or caravan and with appropriate direct
sunlight, high temperatures can be
produced! You should therefore never store the
gas cooker in a vehicle when a gas canister is
fitted!

• Maintain a sufficient distance to all flammable
objects and sources of heat, such as heating
appliances.

• Never operate the gas cooker close to electrical
appliances.

• Never smoke when you are using the gas cooker.
There is the risk of an explosion!

• Never use the gas cooker close to easily inflamm­able materials, such as matches or petrol.
Do not use aerosol sprays close to the gas cooker.
There is the risk of an explosion!

• Do not leave the appliance unattended when it
is in use! The gas cooker must be constantly
supervised by the user during the whole period
of use.

• Do not use cooking utensils with a diameter larger
than 26 cm. They would protude over the canister
shaft and could cause overheating of the canister.

• NEVER place several gas cookers under one
cooking vessel. This could lead to overheating of
the canister.

• Do not connect the gas cooker to an external
gas supply.

• NEVER use the gas cooker in its packaging or in
a container.

Caution!

Accessible parts may become very hot. Keep young
children away from the appliance. If possible,
wear oven gloves when touching the appliance.

• Under no circumstances should you, during and
directly after use, touch the burner head or the
catchment bowl. There is a risk of being burnt!

• NEVER use the gas cooker without the catchment
bowl and, during use, never transport the gas
cooker.

• Do not use the gas cooker if it is defective or
damaged.

• Check that seals (between the appliance and
the gas container) are in place and good condi­tion before connecting to the gas container.

• Do not use the appliance if it has a damaged or
worn sealing washer.

• Do not use an appliance that is leaky, visibly
damaged or is not functioning as it should.

• Use the appliance only for cooking and grilling
as detailed in these operating instructions.
NEVER use this gas cooker as a heating or drying
appliance. Do not use this appliance for igniting
a fire. Improper use leads to the loss of all claims
provided for under the warranty provisions.

• Do not make any modifications to the appliance.

Information regarding the interaction
with gas canisters:

• Inflammable gas is under pressure.

Attention!

Do not refill!

• Protect it from direct sunlight and do not subject
it to temperatures exceeding 50° C.

• Store at a cool and dry location. Ensure that the
location is well ventilated.

• Dispose of the canister at a safe location.

• Even when it is empty, the canister may not be
punctured or burnt.

• Do not spray against flames or onto glowing objects.

• Keep it well away from ignitable sources - do not
smoke.

• Do not permit the canister to come into the
hands of children!

• This canister may only be used with the Butane
Gas Cooker KH 4202!

• Observe the operating instructions for the relevant
appliance!

• This canister conforms with Standard EN 417.

• Exchange gas canister in a well ventilated loca­tion, preferably outside, away from any sources
of ignition, such as naked flames, pilots, electric
fires and away from other people.

Conduct in the event of a gas leak

If there is a strong smell of gas or you can hear gas
leaking, it will be coming from either the canister or
from the gas cooker. Should this occur:

• Immediately place the regulator valve at the
position OFF.

• Place the clamping lever at the position 0 to loosen
the canister from the valve.
When the canister allows itself to be released,
remove it from the gas canister shaft and isolate
it from the gas cooker.

• Provide for sufficient air circulation. Keep the
appliance away from all sources of ignition.

• Should the leak come from the gas cooker and
it cannot be stopped, move the gas cooker to
a well ventilated location that is distant from all
possible sources of ignition.

• NEVER search for a leak with an open flame, use
a soapy solution!

• Discontinue use of the gas cooker if the gas leak
has come from the gas cooker. In this case, contact
the Service Centre.

Automatic Safety Cut-Off

In the case of over-pressure in the gas canister, for
example by overheating, the valve on the gas cooker
actuates the clamping lever and separates the canister
from the valve.
In this case, wait until the canister has cooled sufficiently,
and the pressure has fallen, before continuing to use
the gas cooker.

Resetting the Safety Cut-Off

• Place the clamping lever in the position 0 and
remove the canister.

• Place the regulator valve in the ignite position to
burn off the remaining gas.

• Place the regulator valve back into the position OFF.

• Place the clamping lever into position 1 and then
back into position 0.

Determine the likeliest possible cause for over-pressure
in the canister.
Possible causes could be:

- The gas cooker was being used in direct sunlight.

- The cooking vessel is too large and caused
a build-up of heat.

- insufficient ventilation.

• If possible, continue use with a new and sufficiently
cool canister. For this, refer to the instructions in
the chapter “Commissioning”.

Notice

For safety reasons, the catchment bowl is inserted
into the housing laterally. In this position, a canister
cannot be connected with the clamping lever.

• Hence, first turn the catchment bowl over and insert
it into the housing with the mountings pointing
upwards.

• Check to ensure that the regulator valve is positioned
at OFF and the clamping lever at the position 0.

• Now open the canister shaft in that you lift the cover
upwards by placing your finger in the finger hole.

Commissioning

Check the items supplied

After unpacking, check to ensure that all of the following
items have been supplied:

- Transport case

- Butane-Canister Type MSF-1a
(In the canister shaft)

- Gas cooker with catchment bowl

- Operating instructions

Important

Use only the butane canisters designated for this
appliance and take note of the instructions given on
them.

Before installing a new gas container, check the sealing
washer on the valve for any signs of damage.

Exchange gas canister in a well ventilated location,
preferably outside, away from any sources of igni­tion, such as naked flames, pilots, electric fires and
away from other people.

• Take the canister from the canister shaft and remove
the protective foil.
Remove the protective cap from the canister and
keep it in a safe place. Lay the canister into the
canister shaft with the nozzle pointing to the front.
There by, ensure that the notch on the edge of
the canister is facing upwards and the blocking
lever can engage with it.

• Check that the flame is burning. If not, turn the
regulator valve back to the OFF position and
repeat the ignition procedure.

Notice

This appliance is to be operated exclusively with
MSF-1a Butane-Canisters. It may be hazardous to
attempt to fit other types of gas containers.
In the event of using similary constructed butane
canisters, these must conform with Standard EN 417.

Operation

• Press the clamping lever into position I and check
to ensure that the notch on the canister fits into the
blocking lever at the valve.

Important

Should you hear or smell escaping gas, Immediately
return the clamping lever back to start position 0
and remove the canister.

In this case, wait until any possibly escaped gas has
evaporated before attempting to reinsert the
canister.

• Close the shaft cover.

• Turn the regulator valve anti-clockwise, to the left
and the ignition position , until you hear the
clicking of the automatic igniter and the flame is lit.

!

• To ensure that unburnt gas cannot escape, always
ensure that the flame does not go out.

Attention:

Butane gas is heavier than air and can collect on the
ground. Open flames or sparks can ignite the gas.
If you have determined or suspect the escape of unburnt
gas, Immediately place the regulator valve at the
position OFF! Return the clamping lever back to the
start position 0 and wait until any possibly escaped
gas has evaporated before attempting a reignition.

• Under no circumstances should you use pots and
pans that are larger than the catchment bowl,
otherwise the canister shaft could overheat.

• Ensure that the burner head does not becomes
soiled by overflowing foodstuffs.

• Regulate the strength of the flame with the regulator
valve so that you do not waste energy unneces­sarily.

Troubleshooting

Ending usage

If the flame goes out during use, this could have
several grounds.

Attention:

In this case ALWAYS first place the regulator valve
into the position OFF and return the clamping valve
back into the start position 0! THEN attempt to
eliminate the cause!

• Check that burners are extinguished before
disconnecting the gas container.

• Place the regulator valve into the position OFF
and wait until the flame has gone out. Then return
the clamping valve back into the start position 0
and always remove the gas canister.

• Replace the protective cap back onto the gas
canister and then store it in a cool and dry location.
The storage temperature must always lie below
50°C.

Caution:

In cars and caravans and with sufficient intense sunlight,
very high temperatures can be generated!

• Place the regulator valve into the ignite position ,
so that the remaining gas in the gas cooker can
be burnt off.

• Place the regulator valve back into the position OFF.

• Store the gas cooker in the transport case in a dry,
cool and well ventilated location.

Cleaning and Care

The gas cooker should be cleaned regularly and after
every use.

• Clean the housing with a damp cloth and mild
detergent.

Do not submerse the appliance in water!

• The catchment bowl can be cleaned in dishwater.

Cleaning the burner head

• To dismantle the burner head, loosen the central
screw and then clean the gas exit openings with
a soft brush.

Disposal

Importer

Do not dispose of the appliance in your normal
domestic waste.

Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal
centre or at your community waste facility.
Observe the currently applicable regulations.
In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal
centre.

Dispose of the cooker and the gas
container separately

• Ensure that the gas container is completely empty
(by shaking it). Hand the canister in to a scrap-metal
collection centre, the plastic cap into a recycling
centre.

Attention:

Under no circumstances throw the canister into an
open fire!

Disposal of packaging

Dispose of the packaging materials in an
environmetally responsible manner.

Sikkerhedsanvisninger

• Børn er ikke i stand til at vurdere faren ved gas­apparater, så derfor skal de holdes på afstand
af apparatet, og de må ikke anvende det uden
opsyn.

• Stil gaskogeapparatet på et jævnt, fast underlag,
og sørg for en minimumafstand på 25 cm til vægge
og andre genstande samt en afstand på 120 cm
ovenover. Sørg for, at luftcirkulationen nedefra
ikke hindres.

• Brug kun gaskogeapparatet udendørs!

• Undgå direkte solpåvirkning, og stil ikke gaskoge­apparatet i nærheden af andre varmekilder eller
i kraftig vind.

• I biler eller autocampere kan der opstå høje
temperaturer ved direkte solpåvirkning!
Opbevar derfor aldrig gaskogeapparatet med
patron i køretøjet!

• Hold tilstrækkelig afstand til alle brændbare
genstande og varmekilder som f.eks. varme­apparater.

• Brug ikke gaskogeapparatet i nærheden af
elektriske apparater.

• Ryg ikke, når du bruger gaskogeapparatet.
Fare for eksplosion!

• Brug aldrig gaskogeapparatet i nærheden af
antændelige materialer som f.eks. tændstikker eller
benzin. Brug ikke aerosolholdige sprays i nærheden
af gaskogeapparatet. Fare for eksplosion!

• Hold altid gaskogeapparatet under opsyn, når
du bruger det! Gaskogeapparatet skal altid
overvåges af brugeren, når det er i brug.

• Brug ikke kogebeholdere med en diameter, der
er større end 26 cm. De rager ud over patron­skakten og kan føre til overophedning af patronen.

• Stil aldrig flere gaskogeapparater under en
kogebeholder. Det kan føre til overophedning
af patronen.

• Slut ikke gaskogeapparatet til en ekstern gaskilde.

• Brug aldrig gaskogeapparatet i emballagen eller
i kufferten.

Forsigtig!

Dele, der kan berøres, kan være meget varme. Hold
små børn på afstand af apparatet. Brug så vidt mu­ligt handsker, når du rører ved apparatet.

• Rør aldrig ved brænderhovedet eller drypskålen
efter eller under brug. Der er fare for forbrænding!

• Brug aldrig gaskogeapparatet uden drypskål,
og flyt ikke gaskogeapparatet under drift.

• Brug ikke gaskogeapparatet, hvis det er defekt
eller beskadiget.

• Kontrollér regelmæssigt ventilens pakning for skader.

• Brug ikke apparatet med beskadigede eller slidte
pakninger.

• Brug ikke apparatet, hvis det lækker eller er
beskadiget, eller hvis det ikke fungerer korrekt.

• Brug kun apparatet til madlavning eller grillning
som angivet i denne betjeningsvejledning.
Brug aldrig gaskogeapparatet som varme- eller
tørreapparat. Brug ikke apparatet til at tænde
ild med.
Uhensigtsmæssig brug fører til tab af garantikrav.

• Der må ikke foretages ædringer på apparatet.

Anvisninger til betjening af gaspatroner:

• Brændbar gas står under tryk.

Obs!

Må ikke fyldes op igen!

udsættes for temperaturer over 50° C.

• Skal opbevares køligt og tørt. Skal opbevares på
et godt udluftet sted.

• Skal bortskaffes på et sikkert sted.

• Efter brug må beholderen heller ikke ødelægges
eller brændes.

• Spray ikke mod flammer eller mod glødende
legemer.

• Skal holdes borte fra tændingskilder - rygning
forbudt.

• Må ikke komme i børns hænder!

• Denne patron må kun anvendes med butan-gas­kogeapparatet KH 4202!

• Overhold betjeningsvejledningen, der hører til
apparatet!

• Denne patron er i overensstemmelse med
normen EN 417.

• Skift gasbeholderen på et veludluftet sted, helst
udendørs og på afstand af eventuelle tændkilder
som åbne flammer, tændflammer, elektriske
kogeapparater samt på afstand af andre
personer.

Reaktion ved gasudslip

Hvis du mærker kraftig gaslugt eller kan høre gassen
slippe ud, er der gasudslip fra patronen eller
gaskogeapparatet. Hvis det skulle ske:

• Stil straks reguleringsventilen på stillingen OFF.

• Stil spændehåndtaget på position 0 for at løsne
patronen fra ventilen. Hvis patronen kan løsnes,
fjernes den fra patronskakten, og den isoleres fra
gaskogeapparatet.

• Sørg for god luftcirkulation. Hold apparatet borte
fra alle tændingskilder.

• Hvis der opstår gasudslip på gaskogeapparatet,
som ikke kan stoppes, skal gaskogeapparatet
flyttes til et veludluftet sted på afstand af alle
tændingskilder.

• Søg aldrig efter læk med en flamme, men brug
sæbelud!

• Undgå at bruge gaskogeapparatet, hvis der
har været gasudslip. Henvend dig i så fald til
serviceafdelingen.

Automatisk sikkerhedsfrakobling

Hvis der opstår overtryk i patronen på grund af f.eks.
overophedning, udløses gaskogeapparatets ventil,
så patronen adskilles fra ventilen.
Vent, til patronen er tilstrækkeligt afkølet og trykket
dermed faldet, før gaskogeapparatet anvendes igen.

Reset af sikkerhedsfrakoblingen

• Stil spændehåndtaget på position 0, og tag
patronen ud.

• Stil reguleringsventilen på tændingspositionen,
så resten af gassen forbrændes.

• Stil reguleringsventilen tilbage til OFF-positionen.

• Stil spændehåndtaget på position 1 og derefter
tilbage til position 0.

Find årsagen til overtrykket i patronen.
Der kan være følgende årsager til dette:

- Gaskogeapparatet har været brugt i direkte sollys.

- Kogebeholderen er for stor, varmen samler sig
sammen.

- Utilstrækkelig udluftning.

• Sæt en ny, tilstrækkelig afkølet patron i, hvis det er
muligt. Følg anvisningerne i kapitlet “Ibrugtagning”.

Kontrol af de leverede dele

Kontrollér, at følgende dele er leveret med efter
udpakningen:

- Transportkuffert

- Butan-patron type MSF-1a
(I patronskakten)

- Gaskogeapparat med drypskål

- Betjeningsvejledning

Bemærk

Af sikkerhedsgrunde er drypskålen sat ind i kabinettet
med siden vendt forkert. I denne position kan der
ikke sluttes en patron til med spændehåndtaget.

• Vend derfor først drypskålen, og sæt den ind
i kabinettet med holderne opad.

• Kontrollér, at reguleringsventilen står på OFF og
spændehåndtaget på position 0.

• Åbn nu patronskakten ved at trække låget opad
med fingeren i gribehullet.

Obs!

Brug kun butan-patroner, som er beregnet til dette
apparat, og følg de påtrykte anvisninger.

Kontrollér pakningen på ventilen for eventuelle skader
før tilslutning af en ny gasbeholder.

Skift gasbeholderen på et veludluftet sted, helst uden­dørs og på afstand af eventuelle tændkilder som åbne
flammer, tændflammer, elektriske kogeapparater samt
på afstand af andre personer.

• Tag patronen ud af patronskakten, og fjern
beskyttelsesfolien.
Fjern patronens beskyttelseskappe, og opbevar
den. Sæt patronen med dysen pegende fremad
ind i patronskakten. Sørg for, at kærven på
patronens kant peger opad, så spærrearmen kan
gå i hak deri.

• Stil spændehåndtaget på position I, og kontrollér,
om kærven på patronen passer ind i spærre­armen på ventilen.

Obs!

Hvis du hører eller lugter udstrømmende gas, skal
du straks stille spændehåndtaget tilbage til udgangs­position 0 og tage patronen ud.

Vent, til evt. udstrømmet gas er fordampet, før du
sætter patronen ind igen.

• Se efter, om flammen brænder. Hvis den ikke
brænder, stilles reguleringsventilen tilbage til OFF,
og tændingsforløbet gentages.

Bemærk

Dette apparat må udelukkende anvendes med
MSF-1a butan-patron. Det kan være farligt at slutte
andre gasbeholdere til.
Ved anvendelse af en lignende butan-patron skal
den være i overensstemmelsem med norm EN 417.

Brug

• Sørg altid for, at flammen ikke slukkes, så der ikke
kan slippe uforbrændt gas ud.

Obs:

Butangas er tungere end luft og kan samle sig ved
jorden. Åben ild eller gnister kan antænde gassen.
Hvis du har konstateret eller formoder uforbrændt
gasudslip, skal reguleringsventilen straks stilles på OFF!
Stil spændearmen tilbage til udgangsposition 0, og
vent, til evt. gas er fordampet, før du tænder igen.

• Brug aldrig gryder eller pander, som er større end
drypskålen, da patronskakten ellers kan overo­phedes.

• Luk skaktens låg.

• Drej reguleringsventilen til venstre mod urets retning
til tændingspositionen , til du kan høre den
automatiske tændingsanordnings klikken, og
flammen er tændt.

• Sørg for, at brænderhovedet ikke snavses til af
overløbende materiale.

• Regulér flammens styrke med reguleringsventilen,
så du ikke bruger unødig energi.

Reaktion ved fejlfunktion

Afbrydelse af apparatet

Hvis flammen slukkes under brug, kan der være
forskellige grunde til det.

Obs:

Hvis det er tilfældet, skal du altid først stille regule­ringsventilen på OFF og spændehåndtaget tilbage
til udgangspositionen 0! Reparer så først årsagen!

• Kontrollér, at brænderhovedet er slukket, før
gasbeholderen løsnes.

• Stil reguleringsventilen på OFF, og vent, til flammen
er slukket. Stil så spændehåndtaget tilbage til
udgangspositionen 0, og tag altid patronen ud.

• Sæt beskyttelseskappen på patronen igen, og
opbevar den på et tørt og køligt sted.
Opbevaringstemperaturen skal altid være under
50°C.

Forsigtig:

I biler eller autocampere kan der opstå høje tempe­raturer ved direkte solpåvirkning!

• Stil reguleringsventilen på tændingspositionen ,
så resten af gassen i gaskogeapparatet kan
forbrænde.

• Stil reguleringsventilen tilbage til OFF-positionen.

• Opbevar gaskogeapparatet i transportkufferten
på et tørt, køligt og veludluftet sted.

efter hver brug.

• Rengør kabinettet med en fugtig klud og et mildt
opvaskemiddel

Læg aldrig apparatet ned i vand!

• Drypskålen kan rengøres i opvaskevand.

Rengøring af brænderhoved

• Løsn den centrale skrue for at tage brænderhovedet
af, og rengør så gasudgangsåbningerne med en
blød børste.

Kom under ingen omstændigheder gaskoge­apparatet i det normale husholdningsaffald.

Bortskaf gaskogeapparatet hos et godkendt affaldsfirma
eller på dit kommunale affaldsanlæg.
Følg de aktuelt gældende regler.
Kontakt affaldsordningen, hvis du er i tvivl.

Bortskaf koger og patron separat

• Sørg for, at patronen er helt tom (rysteprøve).
Dåsen afleveres så på genbrugspladsen for
gammelt metal, beskyttelseskappen til kunst­stofgenbrug.

Obs:

Smid aldrig patronen ind i åben ild!

Bortskaffelse af emballage

Aflever alle emballagematerialer på et
affaldsdepot, så miljøet skånes.
