Assembling and positioning the lamp
We have preassembled parts of the lamp. First put the components together completely before operating the lamp.
To begin, remove all of the lamp com- > ponents from the packaging. For transportation reasons, the lamp rod y is still folded.
Remove all packaging and adhesive > foils.
Ensure that the screw on the pull-relief > d of the power cable o on the side of the lamp base i is open and that the cable of the pull-relief d can be moved easily.
Now, carefully and slowly pull the > power cable o from the lamp base i, whilst at the same time you move the lower end of the lamp rod y towards the thread of the lamp base i.
Should difficulties present themselves, > first of all pull the power cable o through the central opening on the underside of the lamp base i, and then, after this, through the pull-relief d.
When the rod > y has reached the thread, screw the lower third of the rod onto the thread of the lamp base i.
Next, screw the middle third of the > rod y onto the thread of the lower rod element. If need be, once again pull the power cable o a little further out of the lamp base i. When screw-
ing the rod elements together, take steps to ensure the power cable o is not damaged in any way!
Now connect the upper third of > the rod y with the middle rod component. To do this, position the two components one above the other, as shown below, and push them into each other. Afterwards, turn the upper rod component through approx. 45° in a clockwise direction until it is firmly seated.
Here also, if need be pull the power cable o a little further out.
Now secure the screw on the pull- > relief d hand-tight with a screwdriver.
Under no circumstances may the power cable o be crushed when doing this!
Now take the three bulbs > r from their packaging and screw them into the bulb holders t.
